Delta Green (2016)

Overview

Delta Green is a standalone tabletop roleplaying game of modern conspiracy and cosmic horror. Originally a supplement for Call of Cthulhu, the current standalone edition was published by Arc Dream Publishing in 2016. Players take on the roles of federal agents or contractors working for a secret, illegal organization dedicated to containing supernatural threats and covering up the existence of the Cthulhu Mythos to protect the United States. The system it directly evolved from is

Description In Delta Green, the horror is not just about monsters; it is about the toll that a life of secrecy and violence takes on the human soul. Agents juggle their high stakes investigations with their crumbling personal lives. They must navigate a world of bureaucratic red tape, government conspiracies, and sanity shattering entities while ensuring that no one, not even their own families, ever finds out the truth. The game is famous for its bleak tone and focus on the cost of the "Great Work." System Overview & Key Features
d100 Percentile System The game uses a familiar percentile dice engine. Skills are rated from 01 to 99. To succeed, you must roll equal to or under your skill rating. If the tens and ones digits match (a double) and the roll is a success, it is a critical success; if it is a failure, it is a critical failure.
Bonds and Domestic Ruin Agents have Bonds representing their relationships with loved ones or colleagues. When an agent suffers Sanity loss, they can choose to project that trauma onto a Bond to reduce the loss. This mechanically represents the agent coming home and taking their trauma out on their family, slowly destroying their personal life to stay functional in the field.
Sanity and Adaptation The game tracks three types of Sanity loss: Violence, Helplessness, and the Unnatural. If an agent experiences enough Violence or Helplessness without breaking, they can become "adapted," making them more resilient to those triggers but less capable of maintaining human empathy and Bonds.
Lethality Rating Instead of rolling many dice for heavy weapons like assault rifles or explosives, Delta Green uses a Lethality percentage. If the player rolls under this rating, the target is instantly killed. If they roll over it, the weapon deals a fixed, significant amount of damage instead.
The Home Phase Between missions (Operas), players play through a "Home" scene. They must choose how to spend their limited time: fulfilling responsibilities to maintain Bonds, seeking therapy to recover Sanity, or practicing skills. Choosing one often means neglecting the others, leading to a downward spiral of isolation.
Special Training and Agencies Character creation is deeply rooted in real world professions. Whether you are a CIA Case Officer, an FBI Special Agent, or a CDC Epidemiologist, your profession dictates your starting skills and the federal resources you can leverage during an investigation.

New Orders from A Cell I'm looking to put together a group of 3-4 people to start up a new, in-person Delta Green game. I have 2 new players and so am looking for 1-2 more. Let’s start off with self-contained sessions and see if it evolves into something more long-form. I will be running this as a game of modern-day conspiracy horror with burned-out federal agents combating unknown cosmic threats and late-capitalist rot using only their wits and whatever governmental overreach they can muster. Slow-burn investigations build to paranoia and desperate actions where the agents must ask themselves whether what they are fighting for is really worth it. Game details: Day/Time - Saturdays - 1pm to 5pm. Offline - East London public location (i.e local pub or gaming bar). Currently most likely either Arcanist's Tavern or Loading Bar, Stoke Newington. Scenarios - I am looking to start off running the group through published scenarios/campaigns (Last Things Last, Puppet Shows and Shadow Plays, Owlshead Mountain, Ex Oblivione) before introducing home-brewed content. Frequency - The game will be run episodically in that we will play in short collections of sessions over subsequent weeks that cover an operation and then take a break. Operations typically run 2-4 sessions, played weekly with roughly a 4-week break between operations. Session 0 - we will have a designated Session 0 as an opportunity for everyone to meet for the first time, get an introduction to the campaign and create characters. Session 0 will also cover lines and veils, X-card in play and any specific content warnings before each operation This group is not a fit if you're looking for high-action combat, monster-of-the-week pulp or a long-running heroic arc. Information about me: I’m a mid-30s GM based in London. I’ve run a range of TTRPGs (DnD, Troika, CoC, Delta Green, Symbaroum) for both public and private groups for a number of years. I enjoy running players through investigatory campaigns where small details unravel into wide conspiracies. I’ve been a big fan of Delta Green since the new edition and have run several games in the system. I am eager to start a dedicated group with fellow fans or interested newcomers. I'm looking for players in a similar life stage so scheduling doesn't keep collapsing so this group would be best suited for those 25+ who are looking to balance TTRPGs with other demands. If this game sounds like something you would like to join, complete the survey below and I will revert asap. Link Drop me an message with any queries and I will revert as soon as I can.

Delta Green: God's Teeth (and more!)

We lost a player and were already down one from a year ago, so I decided it was time to go looking again. \>Systems We do a new system every like 6-18 months. Currently we're playing Delta Green, specifically about halfway through the (award winning) God’s Teeth bundle of scenarios.  When we finish that, likely by summer, we will switch to a 5e Vampire the Masquerade game in which everyone plays Ancilla (150+ year old vamp) who just moved to Boston. After that? Who knows! Other systems we've played: Worlds Without Number, ADnD, Masque of the Red Death, Lancer, Mouseguard, Legend of the Five Rings, Shadowrun, Mothership, Eclipse Phase, Exalted, Traveller, Kids on Bikes, Blades in the Dark, Sentinel Comics, Star Trek Adventures, Vampire the Masquerade, Golden Sky Stories. If you couldn't tell, I've been running this table for a very long time (10+ years). \>Availability/timezone GMT -6, weekly game every Saturday 9am - 1pm \>Contact https://forms.gle/73i3eRC8YnMjjQ9w5 \>Misc. We're more roleplayers than roll players in terms of demeanor, but we don't spend a lot of time speaking IC. We also take things light and often make jokes because it's fun. So if you're a stiff, rigid person you may not appreciate that about us. Since we have been playing together for YEARS, we are also somewhat tight knit. That being said, we're also friendly and love to laugh at ourselves. We also don't tolerate intolerance and talk politics frequently, so if you're a bootlicker you can scuttle on back to your social bubble and look for friends there ;)

Sci-Fi/Horror Paranormal Investigation In '90s Seattle Hi there! I am putting together a game about investigating paranormal threats to humanity on behalf of a mysterious organization, in the vein of The X-Files, BPRD, the SCP Foundation, and the Southern Reach trilogy. I have three decades of ttrpg experience mostly running Call of Cthulhu, WoD, D&D (2e & 5e), and Feng Shui.  I will be running this in Delta Green, the modern day spin-off of Call of Cthulhu, but will not be using the Cthulhu mythos lore that is the usual backdrop of Delta Green. The tone will still be dark, but a little lighter than Delta Green's default "apocalyptically dark."  You do not need to have experience with Delta Green or Call of Cthulhu, but please be mature enough to deal with descriptions of violence, crime, mental illness, and other staples of supernatural horror.  Live sessions will be held on occasional weekends via Owlbear Rodeo. Much of the game will be ran directly on Discord. This will be writing-intensive, if you can't enjoy typing a paragraph and just want to roll dice & move mice this might not be the game for you. The game setting will be Seattle in the 1990s; investigating spooky goings-on amongst the misty forests, thriving music scene, and internet start-ups.  If this interests you, let's talk! This is my first time using this platform so be patient with me.

Salutations! Recently I've discovered Delta Green and am intrested in playing it. I have played ( and Keepered ) Call of Cthulhu so I am fairly experienced with the rules and how d100 systems work. Currently I ( 33 M) am looking for a one-shot or short campaigns ( 3-4 sessions). I am open to both paid and free games. In case of the former, I expect fair pricing, as a paid Dungeon Master I understand how time consuming it is to prepare such things, but I am not open to overpaying ( i.e $30 for a single session,  which is 90% theater of mind). I am open for games at or close to CENTRAL EUROPEAN TIME, that are 18+, on Thursday and Saturday afternoon -ish. As for languages, I can do English and Greek. If you are an experienced or newbie Handler, feel free to contact me.

Writer, illustrator, gm, and player. Most experience in 5E and Mothership.  Prefer role play heavy, character driven, political intrigue type games, with a little bit of crunch. Combat is fun, and can be roleplay heavy too. Fail forward! Big into systems/sims.

Sci-fi
Stars Without Number is a sandbox science fiction tabletop role-playing game designed by Kevin Crawford and published by Sine Nomine Publishing. Originally released in 2010, followed by an extensively expanded and restructured Revised Edition in 2017, the game is a prominent fixture of the Old School Renaissance (OSR) movement. It is structurally engineered to merge the lightweight tactical framework of early fantasy role-playing systems with exhaustive, modular sci-fi sandbox generation toolkits. Description Stars Without Number takes place in the year 3200, centuries after the tragic collapse of the Second Terran Mandate. The human galaxy was once interconnected by instantaneous jump gates and protected by a core of psychic navigators, until an evolutionary psychic catastrophe known as "The Scream" drove every psychic in existence instantly insane or dead. The sudden collapse of interstellar transit triggered a multi-century dark age of isolation known as the Silence. In the modern setting, fractured sectors of space are finally rediscovering faster-than-light spike drives and exploring a fragmented universe. Players navigate this dangerous frontier as spacers, scavengers, mercenaries, or rogue psychics, operating in a cosmos characterized by corporate espionage, lost pre-collapse technology, and shifting planetary regimes.
