What is Groupfinder?

Groupfinder is a tool for all tabletop RPG fans – the primary focus is Dungeons & Dragons, although it can be used by those who are looking for players or a new group for other ttrpgs. Doesn’t matter if your favored system is Pathfinder 2, Call of Cthulhu or something else – Groupfinder is meant for you.

The platform is for everyone who is looking for a group with whom your ttrpg of choice can be played. To help make finding a group the easiest part of your adventure, you have a brief overview of groups looking for members. Whether they are on-going games or something in the planning phase, the choice is yours.

Groupfinder lets you publicly post groups for the game of your choice. You can specify the empty seats that need to be filled. Whether you are a new player, experienced adventurer or even a Dungeon Master, who is looking for a new group or members for an on-going campaign – we hope Groupfinder will help you fill these seats..

Groupfinder is and will be free to use.

Patch notes

14.November 2025 – Added a “New!” tag for posts created in the last 24 hours. A “New!” badge is also shown on the latest updates so you can spot fresh content at a glance. You can also now add a Game Master description directly from your group post. In addition we’ve rolled out infinite scroll for both player profiles and group post searches for a smoother browsing experience. We've introduced Partner posts local to you that appear in searches, helping you scope your next session location or pick up new gear for your next adventure.
05.November 2025 – Added visual updates and search filter description to enhance user experience!
03.November 2025 – We’ve introduced Founding Member badges to thank our earliest community builders. The first 1,000 profiles and 1,000 game post creators now have a special badge visible on their profile and when you hover over their username. Also we've slowly implemented some visual fixes for mobile and web users.
23.October 2025 – We’ve added Canada! You can now create games and profiles there. We’ll also roll out an Android app update on the 24th—the launcher icon will change. The notification system has been improved, and you can now post GIFs in the app. We also fixed an issue with Google Sign-In on Android.
02.October 2025 – Timefinder! You can now schedule your next session directly in messenger. We added "Tools" to messenger so you can create Polls and set session dates! We also updated the Android app’s mobile experience and layout.
16.September 2025 – We’ve improved “At a Table” search so you can now see group posts and player profiles directly on the map, making it easier to find the right game. Adding your location and language to a post is now clearer and more intuitive. We’ve also refreshed our welcome experience with a short guide to help you get started. And since it’s time to move on, the Beta tag has been removed. This update also includes various smaller fixes and improvements.
09.September 2025 – Update: Added United States and Bulgaria; note a known limitation with US locations where some states have multiple places with the same name and the location dropdown currently shows only (Country, State) granularity—improved disambiguation is in progress; update also includes several minor visual fixes.
05.September 2025 – Adjusted date/time conversion for different timezones. Removed the game length option from group forms to reduce clutter and unnecessary required fields when creating a post. (You can still specify your preferred game length in the description.)
28. August 2025 – Added user country to the group and player creation (on top of the location search). Location search is now bidirectional: Latin→Cyrillic and Cyrillic→Latin. Country dropdowns are now in alphabetical order.
27. June 2025 – Groupfinder is now available in 33 countries, latest addition: Georgia.
20.June 2025 – Fixed some users get Estonian as default language. - Fixed errors on profile pic upload. - Fixed requirement for player profiles to add language. - Updated English ToS. Fixed minor translation errors.

Expanded options for selecting location, images, details, and other parameters. - Enhanced user account personalization features. - Added a new default "Panel" view for a quick overview. - Location-based search. Allows more precise display of nearby listings. - Optimized contact capabilities for both user-to-user communication and for sending notifications to platform administrators.
17.May 2023 – Added Google login support.
15.April 2023 – Added sending notifications and chatting inside Groupfinder. Browser web notifactions about new messages, posts and players. Contact form.
29.March 2023 – Added automatic notifications to KVEST Discord channel. Some UI improvements.
05.October 2021 – Modified Profile layout. Game posts now have ''share'' button which allows you to copy the post link. Email service update - emails souldn't go to spam anymore.
16.April 2021 – Ability to Bump your post every day - make it the first post on list. Added searchbar, info buttons and your post indicator. With admin help you can now make special posts with custom contact link.
29.March 2021 – Groupfinder has been completely reworked as a stand-alone platform. Added user registration and management. Registered users can add themselves to the players list and start game groups to find missing players.
22.February 2021 – Mobile experience improved and optimized. Game system is displayed in the player list. Added game system and experience level to all contact pages.
12.February 2021 – Added the possibility to add yourself to Groupfinder as a player. Other users can contact you through the KVEST platform. All messages will be sent to your e-mail address.
