Hello, I am looking for a 5e or 5,5e game of Dungeons and Dragons. I've played a little bit before hand and enjoyed it a lot. Combat and roleplay hold equal value to me, but too little of either is not my preference. Low magic medieval fantasy is my clear preference for an adventure, whether it be fighting orcs, goblins, hunting trolls or fighting hordes of the undead. Not opposed to magic and simple firearms, however, I do prefer no firearms and magic being hard to come by, and thus, in my mind, making it that much more valuable and useful. - I like adventure and slaying monsters, solving mysteries, doing quests and some sandbox type style. But I'm pretty much up for anything if it is well done. - I'm not opposed to the party having differing alignments and such, but I do prefer a group that strives to play together and help out one another, rather than trying to antagonise the group. - I have no problem playing with new players, but I would prefer that players know how the basic mechanics of the game work and are more or less ready when it is their turn. Waiting for someone to think about what to do and having to find and read their abilities on their own, taking 5 min or longer is simply too much for me, I need a group where people are also reacting a bit in the moment type thing or at least think ahead before their turn, what they would do and such.  - Please, no ERP or similar things, each to their own, but it is not for me. ( I don't mind other party members roleplaying romantic relationships or whatnot, like someone being in love with an NPC or such, but it is not for me. )

iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Hi, I'm Patchwork. I'm a 20-something geek who enjoys spending his time on various TTRPGs. My previous group fell apart due to scheduling issues, as most do, so I'm here looking for something new! I'm mostly into the roleplaying aspect of tabletop games, I enjoy immersing myself in whatever character and world I'm put into, and bouncing off party hijinks! I usually put a lot of effort and a decent amount of writing into my characters and their backstories, but I usually do that as a creative writing exercise, and never expect a DM to know it front-to-back (I always put a summarization/TL;DR first). But if you do, all the better! In terms of systems and experience with VTTs, you can already see what systems I've looked into/played, and I've gamed a bunch in Roll20 and Foundry, so I'll have no issues navigating either of those VTTs. But if you have something new, I'm always willing to learn! As for the kind of games I'm looking for, I've been playing Fantasy for quite a long time now, and I'm hoping to get into some Sci-fi settings, and trying out systems in that niche. Hi everyone! I’m Mogousse (she/them), 22, based in France. I’m looking for a D&D 5e or TTRPG group to join! While I’m familiar with the rules and the theory of the game, I’m still relatively new to the actual table experience. I’ve tried DMing one-shots for friends, but none of them either liked or invested themselves into playing D&D. I consider myself a roleplay-heavy focus player: As a writer, I live for complex, flawed characters and morally grey situations. I love stories where choices have real weight and tension. But – even if I didn't play a lot of combat – I view combat as an extension of the story that can be character-driven moments or character expression. I would be the kind of person to try to do combos with my teammates or attempt a risky backflip for the sake of the scene (even if I fail the check!). I like to make them cinematic and more realistic too. I love building deep connections with other player characters and working with the GM to weave my character's growth into the larger narrative. I live on the east coast of the US, but work weird early morning hours, so am usually looking for games in time zones that are a little ahead of my own. Who I am Hey everyone people call me ish, i'm 35, I've been playing dnd for quite some time, been mostly GMing these days and I'm looking to get back into playing. Online feels the most flexible setting to play in and i do really enjoy playing over a high quality microphone (not that i expect the people i play with to have good mics) Experience I've been playing for about 5 years, I've taken the time to learn pen and paper just to better understand the game. I'm a huge consumer of lore, especially when it comes to the forgotten realms, been getting into the novels recently. My style of play is definitely more on the roleplay side of things. I'm a pretty laid back kind of person, I like humor when i'm playing but I like to make sure I'm not hogging the spotlight and when there's serious moments to not ruin the momentum. Don't know if this helps or hurts my case but i'm also a pretty good voice actor. I won't overdo it, promise lol. I'm a big fan of working with the DM to adapt my character to what he has in mind for his story. It's the whole appeal of dnd to me in the first place, collaborative storytelling. I like to have a chat with the GM before hand in a call or messaging. Just to be sure I fit in their style of campaign. The last thing i want is to ruin the vibe of the campaign or anyone's fun. Schedule Schedule wise. I'm pretty open on weekdays after 5pm ADT(GMT-3). Probably more flexible on the weekends to depending how often campaign nights are. Character interest I'd like to play a Pugilist Class but I'm flexible on that. I know not everyone is a fan but I have gotten to play one yet. Set up and what I bring I have a pretty strong set up with a good internet connection. I have a DSLR for my webcam, an AT2020 Condenser microphone with a RC 505MK2 for my audio interface. I'm familiar with using DNDbeyond, Owlbear Rodeo, Foundry VTT(which i can open up a server if the gm wants it for their campaign) I can also share my library of books on dnd beyond. i'm also subscribed to Ledger+ from griffon saddlebag.

I played and run dozens of campaigns from scratch homebrew to puplished, though i really prefer homebrew, puplished stuff... well get's derailed quickly, at least that is my ex111perience. I'm at home with some of the major systems, like 5e, PF1 & 2 (actually translated some of the earlier 2end edition stuff), W:TA, M:TA (so in general the storyteller systems, mostly 2nd to aniversary), but also with some of the more unknown and niche stuff not many folks know (like 1st and 2nd edition Alternity, Stormbringer and other even more obscure stuff - no not cringe stuff, just obscure like "Ruf des Warlock", a D30 based system that needs a graphical calculator, or Gemeni). Well and Classics, Aventurica/DSA 2nd and 3rd, AD&D 2nd in all it's strange glory and very strange optional rulesets. So been there done that. My time frame is a bit wonky, but sincerly i need a break from my routine, reason why pbm is actually not that bad an option - if everyone is disciplined - I go normaly by traffic light system (Red = NO; Yellow = maybe; Green = OK) in regards to communicate what i'm fine with in a session. I can stomach some stuff - mind me not everything - but there are lines not to be crossede, but this is for a session zero. I'm comfortable with English and German, and prefer neither. Some quirks: I do gender crossplay, noting this as not everyone is comfortable with this. I tend to go for anthro themed characters, i have more fun with completly non-human characters depicting. Hmm what else... I bring in method acting, so if using voice chat, 'tis normal if i sound very diffrently while ic or being ooc. But by no means i need that from everyone, i just enjoy it personally. I recently got into it after my workplace hosted a oneshot dnd campaign and it was honestly really fun, and pushed me into looking into more games like that! My name is Joshua and my wife's name is Ilaina. We are a married couple parents of two children looking for an online DnD group. We are not too picky about version though it seems like 5e 2024 is best suited for our newbie status. We have some limited experience. A few years back I downloaded digital versions of the rule book and put together a whole world full of religions, gods, factions, cities, supporting characters, villains etc.We played 1 on 1 with me as DM and my wife as a player. However this quickly became unsatisfying. I spent exponentially more hours prepping than we spent playing and my wife being new felt kind of overwhelmed to be essentially making all the decisions on her own. Now we want to get back in. Ideally we would play on weekends but during the week could potentially work too after our older child goes to bed.  We really aren't in a position to pay for sessions, and aren't really interested. While we know the effort required to organize these things isn't small we are moreso looking for a group of online friends and paying for games feels counterproductive to that goal. That doesn't mean we wouldn't necessarily be willing to pitch in on any supplies or resources that could improve the game experience for everyone.
