Prosperon: a Bio-Cyberpunk RPG

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
No paid games No paid games
I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time.

Ancient Age: The Hunt for a Match

Hello there! I see you have taken an interest in my little post here. Which means something about my title has drawn your attention or you wish to see what this crazy man has to say. Whatever the case, welcome! I am currently looking for players to be a part of a grand adventure set in a fictitious version of Iron Age earth. Where gods and magic are as real as the earth and sky. The best way to describe the setting has to be a mix between EPIC: the Musical and Titan Quest. If this doesn’t drive you away, then you might be the player I am looking for. Before we go any further, a bit of background to help you out. Who am I?: Call me 007 for now. I am a forever GM who has been running games for the better part of 10 years. I have run everything from D&D to Fate, Open Legend, Star Wars, etc. You can say I am a rather experienced GM. The best way to describe my style is story-focused with a collaborative element. I tend to work with players to make the game threatening as well as epic for those involved. If this sounds good to you, we should then get into the brass tacks. What is the System?: This will be a Fantasy Age game from the good people at Green Ronin, though a rather homebrewed version due to my habit of experimentation. I cannot promise a vanilla Fantasy Age experience. Mechanical alterations may occur in certain circumstances as the need arises.  When is this Game?: This game is taking place on Saturdays at 9pm CST. As this is what works for the people already in the game. These times are non-negotiable. What’s the General Setting?: We are playing on a version of Earth during the Iron Age. Long past the time of ancient Greek tales and the old empires from the Bronze Age. The exact year is 550 BC. For those with historical backgrounds or who know their history, yes, we are taking place during the rise of Persia. Meaning the entirety of the Ancient world is available to be explored at your leisure. There are entire lore documents explaining everything that happened, as magic is a part of the world, in contrast to reality. Speaking of Persia. What’s the Story?: Persia is a major part of the story, though our crew is more tied to a specific island nation. Not Cyprus but a close guess. The isle of Crete, as one King sees the writing on the wall. Sending your band of misfits on a journey to other kingdoms. Using your political and social skills to find the perfect match for the king’s daughter. Creating a binding bond that might see them through the storm that will soon plague their nation. In a sense, you guys are royal matchmakers.  With final say over who gets to be wed to the princess, you've been given the unilateral power to determine if Crete somehow survives the coming incursion, or gets swept away (as they were historically). What kind of game are we dealing with?: Mostly of a sandbox nature, with a higher focus on exploration, political intrigue, court politics, and character motivations. As I expect you all to at least travel to half the world before making a particular choice. This game, in terms of percentages, will be 50% roleplay, 10% downtime, and 40% combat. As a result of this spread, I am looking for players who jive with heavy roleplay and are willing to take chances with their characters. This will require your focus and dedication. Those looking for a more passive or casual experience should try to find another game. How long will we be here?: About 2 years.  I hope that gives you enough information to give a general idea of what you are getting into. I have more to say, but we can save that for a one-on-one. For now, I will leave you with some final words. As stated in the title, this will be an 18+ game. We are going through a very violent time with concepts that might be uncomfortable to some people. Sex, Drugs, and other unsavory topics will be discussed through the game. I am looking for players willing to handle such topics respectfully and the gravity they deserve. If at this point nothing has scared you away, I welcome you to find the next part of my post. How do I join your game?: I have made a Google Form. If you want to join, all you have to do is respond to the form. After that, I will get in touch and discuss your potential involvement in my game. For those who wish to join as a couple, family, or other related ties. Have each of you make a response and mention at the bottom who you are in a joint application with. If you do jointly apply, I reserve the right to deny both of you if one does not meet my standard. With that, we come to the end of the post. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me privately. Until then, this is 007 signing off. The form can be found here: App Form

The Adventure: Welcome to Druskenvald, a realm choked by eternal autumn and ruled by forgotten superstitions. The harvest is failing, the woods are hungry, and villagers are whispering to things that hide in the pumpkin patches. You are outsiders drawn into a twisted folklore nightmare. To survive, you must navigate a land where fairy tales are lethal, hags strike bargains for memories, and the very shadows want to devour you. The Pitch: The Crooked Moon is a campaign built around sinister witchcraft, ancient curses, and deep psychological horror. If you want a campaign that feels like The Witch or Sleepy Hollow, where the environment itself is your enemy, look no further. Bring a character who can survive the dark. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmqzxic7m000nl7041x5xckid?ref=cmpe26gha0035ji04azjpab18

The Adventure: Fifteen years ago, a meteor shower of eldritch Delirium crystals annihilated the capital city of Drakkenheim. Today, it is a treacherous, monster-infested wasteland shrouded in a toxic haze. Five rival factions violently vie for control of the ruins and the immense power of the crystals. You are scavengers, drawn to the ruins for wealth, glory, or desperate necessity. Will you align with a faction, strike out on your own, or be mutated by the corruption? The Pitch: This is a dark, tactical, urban exploration campaign. Inventory matters, contamination is lethal, and faction politics are razor-sharp. Survival requires careful planning, ruthless execution, and cinematic teamwork. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmr5tue0l00onie042eesanw6?ref=cmpe26gha0035ji04azjpab18

Im interested in finding 4-5 players, who would be interested in playing Aquelarre, which is a medieval demonic fantasy role-playing game.  Aquelarre is set in the Iberian Peninsula during the 13th and 14th centuries of the Middle Ages. Players take on the roles of normal humans who walk a fine line between living ordinary and legal lives of drudgery, or using forbidden magic to lift themselves out of squalor. For more information check out the wiki: information about the game I'm new to this game myself and as of yet there is no campaign. But for playtime I'm planning on creating a mini-campaign or just run 2-4 sessions of loosely tied adventures. Ideally sessions would take place on one fixed day during the workweek starting from 18:00 CET. The first session would be character creation as the game offers very unique backgrounds & professions and then also a mini-adventure to familiarise ourselves with the basic rules. If you are interested write to me here or on discord (mekaso).

Building a group for a Role-play Campaign

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Howzits, I’m looking for anyone who wants to partake in a character-focused campaign. There are currently three players, and we still DM. For the setting of the campaign, mainly we're looking for a more vibrant setting that should allow any sort of character to partake; for example, my character, a half-elf wizard, is an amateur archaeologist who wants to open his own museum someday. Another prerequisite for the campaign, ideally, is to avoid common tropes I see, such as stopping an undead army or a god has turned evil and must fall. Though it is fun to play as god killers, sometimes it’s also nice to play as a simple band of adventurers that doesn’t over the local government As for scheduling, the current timetable is that Wednesdays are open, and ideally I would like games to start at 11 am EST (Eastern Standard Time) as the other player I’m with is Six hours ahead of me. If all that sounds good and you think you’ll make a good addition to the group, contact me through my discord so that we can have a better chat. My Discord username is HyperHotrod058

New to Daggerheart? Jump into the action with an adventure! Join and learn to play Daggerheart, a system from the team at Critical Role. This adventure will teach you the basics of Daggerheart! A magical forest has appeared overnight at the city’s edge, warping reality with vibrant trees, shifting paths, and strange creatures. Tasked with investigating, you and your party will find that the forest defies ordinary rules. This short 6 to 8 session adventure is perfect for D&D players trying Daggerheart for the first time. You’ll start at level 1 and finish at level 2, experiencing both roleplay and combat while exploring whimsical, Feywild-inspired magic. Strange occurrences, playful transformations, and unusual creatures will keep you and your party engaged and wondering what’s real; and what is the forest’s enchantment. At moments where the Feywild touches the material plane, magic becomes alive and emotions heightened, creating unexpected, delightful experiences. ELEVATOR PITCH: Supernatural and Cryptids themed Cyberpunk Red SCHEDULE: Wednesdays from 7:00pm-9:30pm cst LENGTH of GAME: Weekly / 2-3 hours PLATFORM: Discord and Fantasy Grounds VTT GAME DESCRIPTION: Something strange is afoot in Night City circa 2056. The fourth corporate war has ended and the rebuilding of the former combat zones is in mid swing. Gangs still control great amounts of territory but NCPD and the current government is taking steps to intervene and take their city back. Johnny Silverhand and Samurai are considered classics verging on "Dad Rock" and a young V is still learning their times-tables. Night City is far from calm however. the radiation zones have been cleaned, but the bombs may have caused something beneath to stir. The corporate war allowed some keen eyed and interested parties to maneuver themselves in to new positions of power. The reconstruction efforts have pushed territory lines not just for the gangs but the hunting grounds of things normally unseen. The poser gang modeling themselves as werewolves might not be posing. The rumors about that alligator in the sewer are only half right, its actually a whole trade city. And if some people are reporting seeing doorways to unspeakable worlds down alleyways maybe thats why Kiroshi is pushing their update to the latest optics firmware so harshly. But Night City is Night City and work still needs to get done. Fixers still have jobs, even if they have a few unexpected quirks. Besides those teeth arent actually real, they're just cyberware... right? ...Right? ADDITIONAL INFO: We are a relatively un-serious group (Previous characters consisting of a underground musician dressed in shaman robes, a doctor more prone to drinking the antiseptic alcohol than using it on his patients and an engineer convinced he's a wizard and his inventions are magic) with a great deal of combined RPG experience behind us, however we are all relatively new to the Cyberpunk Red system and Fantasy Grounds VTT itself so we're taking it casual and happily making mistakes together as we feel out the rules and we are happy to bring on more to get to know this system with us! We alternate between Theatre of Mind and VTT being used for larger set pieces We are hoping to add one or two more players to the early stages of our brand new campaign. Players should be Adults, mid-20s or older and open to collaborative gaming and the 'spotlight' moving from person to person depending on the session and jobs that differ in style.

The galaxy is changing… and not for the better. The Yuuzhan Vong have arrived from beyond the known galaxy, bringing living ships, terrifying biotechnology, and a hatred of machines that has already left entire worlds in ruin. The New Republic is struggling to respond, the Jedi are stretched thin, and the hyperspace lanes are filled with refugees, rumors, and fear. In the middle of this chaos, you are part of a small crew trying to survive and make a difference. Maybe you’re Jedi trying to understand this strange new enemy. Maybe you’re soldiers fighting a desperate delaying action. Smugglers, scouts, diplomats, and survivors all have a place in a galaxy where the rules of war are rapidly changing. This campaign will focus heavily on roleplay, character choices, and the personal stories that unfold during a massive galactic war. Expect tense negotiations, dangerous missions behind enemy lines, moral dilemmas, and moments where your characters must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice to protect the galaxy. The Yuuzhan Vong are coming. Who will your character be when the galaxy needs heroes… or survivors? Looking for GM and Players.  Saturdays 10:00 AM GMT Does this day and time work for you, and can you reliably make the sessions? How old are you and how much RPG experience do you have? Do both you and your character work well in a team? Are you familiar with Saga Edition and do you have a copy of it? What is your character concept?

PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's few enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Thought I should mention, no other GM I ever heard of even online has thought to link a campaign to time very consistently. Me, I break it down to years and months, and give the campaign a definite ending and thus a conclusion to the storyline (Vampire the Masquerade). I am THAT relentlessly thorough! Same goes for Pathfinder. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a single male skinwalker crocodile melee Fighter, a female tiefling Wizard, a female aasimar Cleric, a female storm changeling Gunslinger, a female unchained sylph Rogue. Don't do anything that imposes mental conditions in Iron Gods, lots of robots, undead. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters, but played by players of either biological sex. Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves, Drow, Trollans (based on orko from masters of the universe), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Gunslingers, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result, since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role.  These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very culture centric, but there are rare outside examples), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  listen, I have some rules for players. 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

Hello! I am a streamer who goes by GalaktikDragon and I'm looking for one or two more players for a game of VtM I plan to run on my stream. I am a semi practiced GM, but will be new to running V20+Future world of Darkness to create a cyberpunk style city setting, all original characters and no links to exisitng properties. I just call it Cyberpunk so people can understand the vibe of the city.  I have 3 players ready to go. 1 experienced and 2 brand new. just looking to fill out the party with some nice people who wouldn't mind streaming the game on Tuesday afternoons PST. We will be using FoundryVTT and Stoat for Voice as I no longer trust Discord after being hacked. Thanks

I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Gimme a heads up the day before canceling a game, always be ready to play at least 75% of the game sessions. You gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits. No twinks (must have absolute power immediately types), but I will assist you with the math to make a potent PC as possible. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores, and ruthlessly so. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), and I am adept at teaching, I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. Vampire has difficult to make characters (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month. The only thing I haven't added in is the end of the world, Gehenna, YET. The modern day core rulebook is the one you want to spend time reading for the lore, but dark ages will have the discipline dice mechanics. Also, the Book of Nod will feature in the campaign. VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed if you do exactly the right things at the right time, you will want to take notes to refer to later on, no exaggeration. RIght now they are in mid 1990, you will get their average xp to start with. You even get free generation if I can find a sire, an extra dot of disciplines, and 5 extra freebie plus 2 merits (Potent Aura, Common Sense/1 dot of Status). I give free Generation if you take from the official list. This can vary wildly based on what the two of us come up with (you dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc). If you take from the Obscure list, you can buy your generation to 7th if you blow 6 background points on it.  Still gotta pick up Mentor for your sire, though.    I had to make tiny changes to V20 to make it simpler, faster. Like Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. Also I don't use abilities like Awareness, Larceny, and I kept the damn Linguistics, Dodge as they are needed. That kind of thing. I even have combat rounds with meaningful character range when I gotta be aware of the local terrain/number of villains etc. The Giovanni I replaced with Cappadocians and Lamia, as the Giovanni were megalomaniacs and incompetent besides, plus they don't seem to be at all relevant to any setting. The Ravnos I replaced as being totally divorced from the rest of the game, they don't have any influence, and seem to exist solely for troublemaking players. So, they got booted in favor of the Salubri, who actually ARE useful from a GM's perspective. Finally, I outright replaced all Setites with Baali, the latter are a much better written, and much more competent version of the Setites' Lovecraftian "I wanna bring demons into the world" schtick.  I noticed that if you played the Sabbat as written, they'd be wiped out entirely by werewolves, human hunters, and the Camarilla long ago. Worse, if they somehow managed to survive, they'd be discovered as vampires by humanity BECAUSE of their silly anti masquerade antics. On top of that, eating one's elders is a bad idea. All the Sabbat had was neonates and super buff elders, nothing in between. That means their stated purpose was a shambles. I changed their purpose to (eliminating the focus on fighting clan founders) dominating humanity, making humans into slaves. The Black Hand has been subsumed into the Sabbat as a whole. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce, Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia. if you pick from the official list, I can give you free generation, but you gotta also pay for mentor ratings. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 dots to pull it off. You will likely still need a mentor though. Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tzimisce who goes Camarilla eventually has huge story potential, and could aid the group extensively via Vicissitude, Koldunism (need a level 3 ritual late in the campaign), and Animalism to hose over werewolves and aid the party vs frenzy. Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, True Brujah, and the healer version of Salubri, all have clan access to Presence, and level 3 of that power requires Appearance being high, so a PC could be quite the entrepreneur among vampires and humans..... A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla).  If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the core rulebook, the dark ages core rulebook, tome of secrets, and Erciyes Fragments books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. You will want a spiral notebook and a mech pencil with a white eraser preferred (its gonna be a super complicated campaign lasting at least 2 years of weekly sessions). A plastic page protector for the character sheet, and a wet erase marker. Might be a good idea to get the V20 modern core book just for the fluff and abilities, but that's up to you as it isn't strictly necessary. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset.

Game Edition: 5.5e, 5e, and homebrew Experience: None required Session Time: Sundays PST, 1:00-5:00 PM Requirements: Discord, Google Docs, mic, device System: Modified point buy, fixed HP, metric-based leveling (Custom), no multiclassing, homebrew allowed Themes: High fantasy, low fantasy, some dark themes, some sci-fi, some political intrigue, some modern themes This is a long-term campaign with heavy homebrew. The storyline may extend upwards to 7 years over 3-4 campaigns. There is also a spot for a co-DM if any of you are interested. Lucid Adventure is a world-renowned VMMORPG accessed entirely through a person's dreams, known for its unparalleled realism and absolute freedom. As a limitless sandbox game, it functions as a literal second world for its users. The game was created by Giga, the country's most powerful corporation. While the general public initially dismissed it as a mere simulation, players are shocked by the game's realism upon first logging on. The game changed more than just how people played games; top-ranking players were treated as global celebrities, and real-world economic opportunities increasingly depended on a person's in-game capabilities. Furthermore, Lucid Adventure offered employment to injured or disabled individuals, enabling them to regain their physical mobility. Professor Altria Pendragon wrote a paper about Lucid Adventure called “The Fulfillment of Dreams,” in which she famously wrote: "This game is a new wave. For lack of a better word, it is an evolution and revolution of a new mankind." The Legends of Arithea

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! Looking for players for a CWN campaign tentatively titled “Chrome Fires Burning.” Voice is on Discord, VTT will probably be roll20. Everyone is welcome, the only rule is don’t be a dick. Games will be Sunday nights at 9PM CST Elevator pitch is as follows: The year is 2072. In 2025 the development of a new drug, ephemerol, lead to unbelievable advances in cybernetics and technological implantation. Able to bridge the gap between the nervous system and machine circuitry, ephemerol was hailed as a miracle drug, ushering in a new age of transhumanism However, before this new technological golden age could be upon us, it was smothered in the cradle by corporate greed. A jealousy guarded secret, the corporations who developed it held the formula for the miracle drug hostage, demanding corporate sovereignty in exchange for granting access to the masses. A combination of public promises, lobbyists, and paid politicians ensured this deal went through The gift became a double edged sword as the drug was distributed, only working with the cybernetics supplied by those corporations granted sovereignty, allowing them to gobble up more and more influence, to the point that entire cities have become little more than corporate towns, beholden to the companies that own them Within these sovereign territories, anything that threatens the bottom line is meet with brutal consequences. The workers who decided to rise up, to unionize, were branded criminals and domestic terrorists, locked away if not executed in a back alley Public utilities have been sold off little by little, leaving those who refuse the hand of the corporations with rapidly dwindling resources. The once mighty governments of the world now forced to bend the knee to the oligarchs Gangs run rampant, acting with impunity as long as their dues are paid, or left to their own devices due to lack of resources to stop them Despite this turmoil, there is new opportunity. Companies now fight a desperate war for market share, managers willing to pay to sabotage one another for the next promotion. Money talks, and right now, it’s screaming Chicago is one such battleground. Built into a shining edifice as the headquarters of several massive corporations, it now resembles a patchwork of countries, as each corporation claims sovereign territory within the blocks of city property it lays claim to. A hub of trade even in this time, boardroom battles spill out on to the streets, bullet and blade picking up where ink and negotiation fail

Unknown Portland

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The World of the Occult Underground awaits you - All you need is an idea for a person trying to navigate life in a city full of secrets, and who wants to change the world. -------------------------- Portland, Maine, is an old city with its eye on the future. It's a city of lighthouses, fishing boats, old brick streets, and hidden corners. Tourists see a charming coastal town. As someone who lives there, you see a little deeper. Beneath the restaurants, breweries, and waterfront shops lies another Portland—a city built from obsessions, impossible coincidences, dangerous secrets, and people willing to sacrifice everything for what they believe in, not just politically but metaphysically. Unknown Portland is a modern supernatural horror campaign using the Unknown Armies 3e TTRPG system. This is a game about putting your mark on the world, but not primarily about fighting monsters, unless injustice, TikTok, or something else you find intolerable about the world counts as a 'monster'. It's a game about discovery, obsession, and making a difference in a world filled with people who are determined to see it remain the same—or who seek to twist it to their own ends. The way forward is rarely clear, and it will be up to you to decide who you agree with, who you oppose, and what kind of future you're willing to fight for. One thing is certain: meaningful change always comes at a cost. What that cost is, and whether you're willing to pay it, are up to you... If you have the courage to step into the ring and make your voice heard. -------------------------- If You Join the Game, You Will Find: Character-Driven Stories Your relationships matter. Friends, lovers, family, rivals, and mentors are not background details—they are the heart of the story. Every connection can become a source of strength, heartbreak, inspiration, or danger. Found Family The people who stand beside you may become more important than the people who raised you. In a city full of secrets, trust is rare and precious. Meaningful Choices There are no perfect solutions. Every victory has consequences. Every sacrifice changes you. The decisions your character makes will leave lasting marks on the city and on the people around them, and even perhaps future games in the world. Mystery and Discovery The occult underground is hidden in plain sight. Every rumor may contain a fragment of truth. Every coincidence might be engineered. Every answer leads to deeper questions. Personal Horror The greatest threats are often the things people do to themselves. Ambition. Obsession. Love. Fear. The supernatural is terrifying, but human choices are what shape that horror. -------------------------- The game is run on Roll20 for tabletop and Discord for Audio/Video. It is streamed and recorded for posterity. Microphones are required, and cameras are encouraged. The game will deal with adult subject matter and may involve trauma. We maintain an open-door policy and are willing to discuss if certain topics hit too close to home. New players are welcome and preferred. We want to introduce you to the Occult Underground and prefer players who are unfamiliar but willing to learn and explore this world. The game is set in Portland, Maine, in 2022. All you need is an idea for a regular person who lives around Portland, Maine. Most PCs are in their mid-twenties, though older characters are certainly possible. -------------------------- This is a mature game focused on emotional storytelling, mystery, supernatural horror, and character development. Violence exists, but the story's focus is on people, relationships, choices, and consequences rather than combat. If you enjoy shows and stories like The Dresden Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Magicians, True Detective, The Sandman, or The Magnus Archives, you'll probably feel right at home.

The Dutonic Valley was subjugated for over three centuries, but the spirit of its people was never broken. Following the devastation of the Burning of the Wood, the might of the Mirric oppressors was finally broken. Now, Dutonic tribes have once more gained a foothold in their ancestral homeland. Many eccentric tribes have arises from the smoke. Some fight to reclaim the Dutonic heartland in the marshes along the river, while other tribes have carved out petty kingdoms in the highlands. Cults, pagans, noble kings, merciless warlords. In the upcoming arc, a new set of cultures are released on the edges of the map. The surviving Miralenians, the fierce Falmarci, and more now contend for the fertile land of the Dutonic Valley, while its defenders must stand against the tide and retain a grip on their long-ailing homeland. - In this campaign, you join the ongoing chaos to carve out a future for your people. You create a faction leader and develop your lands to shape your realm and rule. You can fight battles to gain new lands or raid enemy factions. The wargame is a D6 dice pool based game, using small units of about 4-10 models and about 6-12 units per side. With unique weapon traits and unit traits, positioning and clever engagements are key to victory. - This is a bit of a hybrid experience, combining grand strategy and a tactical wargame with pbp roleplay. You've got some of the classic trappings of strategy games in managing territories and building armies, but with a grand TTRPG feel. Alliances come from both ideology and circumstance. With a campaign map to track valuable resources, the spread of rival powers, and warlords on the lurk, the consequences of diplomacy are tangible. Through letters, trade, and roleplay spaces you can manoeuvre through the growing web of factions and ensure your people persist through it all. The campaign operates on a weekly turn, during which your actions and decisions tick over and you reap the benefits of your rule, or face its unfortunate consequences. However, you can scheme, send letters, and manage your realm any time. The campaign is designed for around 10 to 15 players.

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Your companions and you arrive at your new workplace - a detective bureau at a big seaside city. Whether it is your lifelong dream, or you got sent here on a contract to avoid a jail sentence after you got caught - now you are here to serve the city and solve the hot cases. One of them covers you right away: one of the seven lords was attempted to get assassinated, more specifically to be drowned in his bathtub. Same as the house you move in, smells with curses and unsolved cases.  Some highlights: -this is a very roleplay focused game with over 100+ npcs and side quests. The dm (me) is a big oc and npc freak. Same with maps, I try to visualize every location you visit, even if you don't get to fight there (but I am not stopping you, feel free to punch whoever and whenever) -this is a very LGBTQ+ focused campaign that I started during pride month last year. I really mean it, it has a crazy amount of representation and barely any cis-hetero npcs -the world is 90% built on classic Faerun, with minor additions. I am open to homebrew races and mechanics! -each of the party members gets a personal arch in the story, I usually work a lot on making every character related to events in some way -we begin with lvl 1 and hope to play until lvl 15. After that we negotiate whether we keep playing or call it a go Schedule The games would be $10 per session, hoping to play bi-weekly. It would be nice to set up a permanent day of the week and time to avoid comparing availability every time. I would aim at 5-7pm PST. Probably not right for you if: -you do not have a consistent schedule/unsure if you can play regularly -you are uncomfortable with sensitive content, it is quite frequent -you are uncomfortable with AI usage and implementation in games Thanks for reading this! Contact me with your availability if you are interested. I never ran an online campaign before, so I'm hoping to adapt quite soon ✨ You can dm me here, rc_lika on discord or instagram

LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
🎓 Who Are You? You are a student at the **Nocturne Conservatory**, a hidden college for young witches beneath the town of Duskfall. Most students are between **18 and 22 years old**, balancing two very different lives. By day, you attend classes, work part-time jobs, hang out with friends, and try to survive college. By night, you study advanced magic, dangerous rituals, and centuries-old traditions. Whether you were born into the magical community or discovered it later, you're still trying to figure out who you want to become. --- # 🏫 Your Two Worlds ## ☀️ Life Above Ground Outside the Conservatory, Duskfall functions like any other small coastal college town. You might spend your days: - Attending university lectures - Working a part-time job - Meeting friends at cafés - Going to concerts - Pulling all-nighters before exams - Exploring the town - Joining clubs or organizations Most people believe Duskfall is completely ordinary. They're wrong. --- ## 🌙 The Nocturne Conservatory Hidden beneath abandoned salt mines lies one of the oldest magical colleges in existence. Here you'll study subjects like: - Ritual Magic - Arcane Theory - Demonology - Magical History - Wards & Protection - Potion Brewing - Cursecraft - Spirit Studies -Evocation -Divination Your professors expect excellence. Failure can have consequences beyond a failing grade. --- # 🎭 What Is This Campaign About? This is a character-driven supernatural mystery focused on: 🔮 Magic 🕵️ Investigations 🎓 College Life 🤝 Friendships & Rivalries 📖 Hidden History 🩸 Difficult Choices While combat certainly happens, your greatest tools are curiosity, teamwork, and creative problem solving. --- # 🧙 Creating Your Character Think about the person behind the magic. ### What are you studying? Examples include: - Magical Law - Ritual Studies - Alchemy - Spirit Research - Enchantments - Magical Medicine - Ancient Languages --- What's your life like outside class? Do you... - Work at a bookstore? - Play in a local band? - Run the campus radio station? - Captain an intramural team? - Volunteer in town? - Spend every night buried in the library? --- How do you feel about magic? Maybe it's... - Your calling. - Your family tradition. - Just another subject to pass. - A burden. - An obsession. - Something you're still learning to trust. --- Why did you come to the Conservatory? Everyone has their own reason. Maybe you wanted: - Knowledge. - Freedom. - Answers. - Prestige. - Adventure. - A fresh start. --- 💬 Roleplaying Tips Your character is an adult, but adulthood doesn't mean having everything figured out. Lean into uncertainty. Make mistakes. Build friendships. Question authority. Support your classmates. Sometimes the biggest victories happen outside of combat. --- 📖 What Your Character Knows Every student knows: ✅ Magic exists. ✅ The Nocturne Conservatory is one of the oldest magical colleges in the world. ✅ Duskfall has a hidden magical community. ✅ Magical traditions are deeply important. ✅ Strange things occasionally happen around town. Your character does **not** automatically know: ❌ Every magical secret. ❌ Every hidden faction. ❌ The truth behind Duskfall's history. ❌ Why certain traditions exist. Those answers will be discovered throughout the campaign. --- 🌒 Welcome to Duskfall Study hard. Trust carefully. Question everything. Because in Duskfall... **Some secrets have been waiting centuries for someone to uncover them.**

"Sang root tea! Warm right up with genuine sang root tea, harvested fresh from the frontier!" A weathered man in an equally weathered duster raps a knuckle on a dome-shaped contraption. It springs to life, as if jolted from deep slumber, skating precariously at the edge of his cart as steam pours out from an exhaust pipe protruding from the rear. A man in a pinstriped tailcoat and black bowler hat approaches the cart, waving his hand and pulling a billfold out of an inner pocket. The transaction-to-be pauses suddenly as the entire street darkens under a massive shape passing overhead. A brief, shared moment of wonder stops the citygoers in their tracks as a colossal spheroid airship coasts regally over the city, leaving white plumes of steam in its wake. Welcome to the streets of Newgoode, the heart of commerce in the Umbersun Commonwealth, and home of Newgoode College. Your story begins with the arrest of Alva VanOstrand, head of the VanOstrand family and president of the Clearband Company, the premier brand for food and drink across the Commonwealth. Make your mark in the streets of the greatest city in Auropa be you friend, family, or adversary of the VanOstrand family. Hi everyone, and thank you for reading this far. I'm Daniel, also known as kimchigrub, and I'm inviting you to join in a playtest campaign for an independent tabletop RPG called Chrysopoeia. The game takes place in Auropa, a world inspired by a 19th century steampunk aesthetic with alchemy as the progenitor of magic and technology. I've been developing the game for the better part of 10 years with the goal of testing the limits of player agency in a tabletop with features including: - a dynamic, stamina-based action economy - open ended classless progression - alchemy-inspired magic complete with custom spellcasting - robust dice pool system for checks and attack rolls, and a lot more. The Player's Guide is ready for early-stage playtesting, but is a work in progress with continued expansions planned and on the way. Whether you're a veteran DM, or if you've only rolled dice for Monopoly, all are welcome to join the playtest as players or as GMs. I appreciate any amount of interest you have and I hope to hear from you!

Online, 0e ODND, CST, Thursday-Saturday; What? Old-school 1974 D&D similar to Shadowdark, and Old School Essentials. Emphasis on open world player freedom. Party up and play when your schedule allows. Travel a hex grid. Meet, recruit, and barter with NPCs across the world. Carve out your name in infamy, fame, or obscurity.  How? Discord used for communication and record keeping. Miro used for visuals. Voice recorded, transcribed, and processed for notes to keep the world consistent. To enter the game contact via discord or Groupfinder DM if interested. Who is playing? Drop in/Drop out West Marches style. Play 1-on-1 with DM any time on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, or coordinate with others to schedule with other players in group effort. Player cooperation not required, you can adventure with NPCs for equal treasure share or hire them on other terms. Speak with players out or inside of game to meet in specific places. Enter the timeline in approved places. Having multiple characters in multiple locations in the game is advantageous as the world is vast and distance takes time to traverse. What are the rules? - Chainmail (some not all), The 3 brown booklets. - Knowing the rules isn't required to play because it's so simple - Character classes are: Magic-User, Fighting-Man, Cleric, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit Tips? - The DM will not remind players of quest options available to the players. - Notes and good memory are important. Knowledge is precious. - Hiring NPCs is a core mechanic - No set story. No narrative or character arcs. Story emerges from random results of the game, so play like no one is watching but the NPCs.

Founry + Discord. Newbies welcome. --- In 1928, you are contacted by Dr. Highsmith of St. Agnes Asylum. He seeks your help with a troubling case: one of his patients, Alexander Roby. Alexander was somehow involved—yet no charges were ever filed. Now, Dr. Highsmith believes Roby is ready to be released. But before that can happen, he needs outside confirmation… and discretion. Questions quickly surface. Why is Roby’s brother so determined to keep him locked away? What truly happened on that fateful night? And what role did Alexander play in it? As you investigate, the truth becomes harder to ignore. What first appears to be a tragic family mystery begins to reveal something far older and far more sinister. Something is watching. We will kick off with session zero to agree on table rules and expectations. Before joining be aware that this game is for mature players and will involve difficult moral decisions as well as might involve emotional roleplaying about human relations and their slow degradation. It is not a happy game about killing monsters. It is a game about consequences. This is an ongoing campaign. We finished Viscid and are looking for fresh blood to start Music From a Darkened Room.

Saturday, 7PM +2 GMT, biweekly, 20$ per session  Foundry + Discord Sign up on Startplaying HERE --- Misty Vale was covered by mist for a long time. Within those mists only ruins remained of empire long forgotten. Now the mist is no more and you heard that the treasures hidden within it are to be found and claimed! In this Dragonbane campaign, you will explore dangerous wilderness, ancient tombs, monster-infested dungeons, abandoned villages, and mysterious strongholds. Every expedition carries risk. Supplies run low, monsters hunt the roads, and greed often proves deadlier than steel. The campaign combines classic fantasy adventure with open exploration, deadly combat, strange magic, and opportunities for both heroism and disaster. My games focus on atmosphere, player-driven choices, immersive roleplay, and fast-paced cinematic action. Dragonbane rewards creativity, clever plans, and bold decisions over perfect character builds. Expect dangerous journeys, memorable NPCs, dark humor, tense combat, and a living world that reacts to your successes and failures. This game is ideal for players who enjoy old-school fantasy adventures, exploration-heavy campaigns, and stories shaped by risk and discovery. Dragonbane is enjoyable by both grognards wishing to try something new but with a familiar taste and new players alike. No prior experience with Dragonbane is needed — new players are welcome, but survival is never guaranteed.

Wanderbane Playtesters Needed!

Playtest Playtest
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Wanderbane is a ttrpg system that starts with the players knowing nothing, wandering around an apocalyptic world to see what sparks a memory. I aim for this to be a modern setting based in the apocalypse, feel free to send me a DM if you're looking to playtest, I'll accept anyone of any age, and aim to get a wide range of perspectives. I plan on running this every week on roll20, and hope to get a variety of groups going, maybe upping the frequency to twice a week so we can fit more groups, generally when people are available.

The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq7tyim4007bjs04bh2hluyy?q=moonlighters  Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.

grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
(Warning this is a dnd like not dnd) you live in a small town in the country-side. You get "recruited" to a private school you never heard of, your parents agree to send you there sense it's free because of a "scholarship" you definitely deserve. The day before your first day at that school you start seeing a dark figure. Yes this is a spirit summoning game where you battle with different spirits coming from different places. (inspired by persona and Shamman king) Your Character gets a partner Spirit that can be of 3 main spirit types: Shines: spirits made by postive emotions. maybe your character really likes jokes so their spirit is a clown. Shades: spirits made by negative emotions. maybe your character really hates being social so their spirit is scary to scare off others. Object Spirits: spirits made by strong emotions towards objects. Maybe your character really likes a spinning top so their spirit is a spinning top. other Spirit types: Bound Spirits: spirits made by a living things dying but being bound by something such as a goal or a resposability. Mythical Spirits: Spirits made by legends or myths because humans believe they'll real. Game Themes: low fanasty, modern, school live, horror this campaign is still being made and wouldn't be ready for a few months.

Monday – Saturday, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)

Rolicrite "Realms of Chaos"

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
I run a homebrew game set in Exandria. We use Roll20 and Discord (Physical dice encouraged). Will often allow ROC over RAW. SUNDAYS: 11:30AM EST (3-4 player spots available) Continent: Rolicrite (Rohl-uh-kreet)-((Roll A Crit haha)) An ever shifting island continent, of the Shattered Teeth. In the wake of the Gods' fall a century ago, the ancient wards that once concealed the island kingdom of Rolicrite shattered, revealing its shores to the world. For centuries, Rolicrite thrived in isolation, a bastion of untold magic safeguarded by enchantments as old as time. When the barriers between planes were torn asunder and the gods were stripped of their divine might, the island of Rolicrite became a crucible of arcane backlash. Nature itself rebelled. The skies ruptured with fury, birthing an unrelenting tempest that raged for 100 days and 100 nights. Though the initial Hundred Storms faded, the magic of Rolicrite was changed forever. Even now, years later arcane maelstrom storms, remnants of that cataclysmic event return without warning. Towering cyclones of arcane chaos twist across the island, sometimes touching down with devastating effect. Their presence is marked by violent weather, mutating energy fields, and magical surges that cause spells to backfire, mutate, or even rewrite the laws of physics briefly. But the true terror begins once the storm has passed. When the Maelstrom lifts, it leaves behind a dead zone. A scar across the land where the Weave is utterly severed. In these Nullfields, magic simply ceases to exist. Spells fail, enchanted items lie dormant, and even divine miracles fall silent. These zones can last anywhere from a single day to a month, and their shape and size are unpredictable. Creatures caught within a Nullfield at the moment of its creation often find their magical essence drained permanently. Familiars vanish, warlocks lose their patrons’ whispers, and magical creatures may become mundane or even die outright.... Your adventure..... To All Concerned Citizens of Eastgaurd and the surrounding Keeps, It is with great urgency that we inform you of the recent prison break at Shadowspire Penitentiary. The most dangerous criminals, once contained within its walls, now roam free. We implore all residents to remain vigilant, stay indoors after sundown, and report any suspicious activities immediately. The escaped prisoners are armed and highly dangerous. If you encounter any of them, do not engage directly. Instead, alert the nearest guard post or town authority. Your safety is our utmost concern. May the gods watch over us all in these trying times. Sincerely, Eastgaurd Council of Safety TOWN CRIERS WORDS EXTRA! EXTRA! HEED THESE WORDS, CITIZENS!" "Shadowspire Penitentiary — breached! Its black walls shattered in flame and chaos! Dangerous criminals now stalk the roads and rivers! Stay indoors! Lock your doors! Hold your loved ones close!" "Among the escaped: none other than exiled noble Jareth Blackwood, former prison warden turned traitor!" "All able-bodied citizens and bounty hunters are urged to report any sightings to the Warden’s Keep immediately!" The party has spent weeks pursuing Jareth "Shadowblade" Blackwood, the one responsible for the prison break and the current leader of The Cult of the Whispering Veil. Their investigations have carried them across dangerous roads deep into a swamp in search of an ancient temple lost to history. Through recovered journals, interrogations, and hard-earned clues, the party has learned that Jareth intends to perform a powerful ritual during the upcoming Summer Solstice. The ritual's true purpose remains unknown. Jareth has spread his influence and scars wherever he travels. Those he considers useful, capable, or simply unfortunate enough to cross his path are taken. Some willingly, most by force. Once captured, they are fitted with enchanted masks imbued with ancient shadow magic, robbing them of their free will and binding them to the Whispering Veil's cause. What awaits at the temple is still a mystery. Some within the party believe Jareth seeks to summon an ancient entity imprisoned long ago beneath the ruins. Others suspect he plans to sacrifice his followers to ascend beyond mortality himself. Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: The Summer Solstice is fast approaching, and if Jareth is not stopped before the ritual reaches its climax, the consequences may extend far beyond the borders of the swamp.

Hazecrux: Lines in the Mist

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
The Secret World of Myths Behind the Mist Awaits You All you need is an idea for an ordinary person whose life has become entangled with a myth or fictional character (Preferably one from Greek Mythos or a Videogame). After that, it will be up to you to decide what kind of legend you will become. -------------------------- Hazecrux is a modern city you won't find on any map outside its borders. It's a place where myth and legend walk beside ordinary people every day. Most will never notice. While Superheros and Magic might be real, an armored knight looks like a police officer in riot gear. A fireball might be remembered as a gas explosion. Impossible events become strange rumors before fading into comfortable explanations. The Mist protects the regulars of humanity from the impossible, rewriting memories and smoothing over the cracks in reality. But some people awaken. They become Rifts, individuals whose lives have become intertwined with ancient myths, legendary heroes, forgotten monsters, fairy tales, gods, and stories older than civilization itself. Those legends grant incredible abilities, but they are never free. Every step deeper into your myth brings greater power... and a greater risk of losing yourself to the story that chose you. Hazecrux has survived catastrophe before. Years ago, an event known only as the Calamity nearly destroyed the city. During the chaos, the mysterious Overseer evacuated thousands into vast underground shelters. Yet salvation came with tragedy. The city's greatest hero, Excelsior, returned from the dead only to become its greatest threat, slaughtering innocents before finally being defeated by a single masked luchador. The age of superheroes ended that day. In their place rose the luchadores—modern champions who protect the city where the old heroes failed. The Overseer vanished soon after. His successor, Tina Bellows, now oversees Hazecrux openly. Even ordinary citizens know her name, though few understand what she truly protects, thinking her just some unelected Governmental official. Challenging her is the charismatic Zander Tombs, a young man with ties to the criminal underworld. He argues the city deserves freedom instead of guardianship. His supporters call him a revolutionary. His critics point to his father is a man whispered to control much of Hazecrux's criminal underworld. As if that weren't enough, a colossal spaceship now hangs over the city that Zander says he controls... along with his gaggle of would be supervillians that follow him. Even the Mist refused to explain that away, letting all see it and the shuttles that descend into the streets dropping who knows what and picking up only Zander knows who. A new faction has emerge. A new part of the City has sprung up in the Barren Fields, Arcaida... the Las Vegas of Hazecrux... a place with an ecclectic feel found only in the Basho. This island on the land feels distinct as the rest of the city sits on a knife's edge. Everyone can tell the world stands on the the cusp of another turning point. And somehow... ...you've become part of the story. -------------------------- If You Join the Game, You Will Find: Character-Driven Stories Who you care about matters as much as what you can do. Friends, family, lovers, rivals, mentors, and enemies shape the story just as much as ancient powers. Relationships are the heart of the campaign. Mystery and Investigation Every legend hides another secret. Every conspiracy has another layer beneath it. The truth is buried beneath the Mist, and discovering it often raises more questions than answers. Myth Meets Modern Life Ancient gods argue over coffee. Fairy queens negotiate through corporate lawyers. Dragons own businesses. Heroes have mortgages. Legendary stories continue in the modern world, wearing contemporary faces. Meaningful Choices There are no perfect answers. Every alliance has a cost. Every victory changes someone. Your choices won't simply determine how your character grows—they will shape the future of Hazecrux itself. Identity and Transformation The greatest struggle isn't defeating monsters. It's deciding whether you remain yourself or slowly become the myth living inside you. Power always asks something in return. The question is what you're willing to give. -------------------------- The game is run using Roll20 for tabletop play and Discord for voice and video. Sessions are streamed and recorded for posterity. A microphone is required, and a camera is strongly encouraged. This is a roleplay-heavy campaign centered on mystery, investigation, relationships, and difficult choices. Combat happens, but violence is rarely the solution to the problems that matter most. The game explores mature themes and emotional subject matter, and we maintain an open-door policy so players can comfortably discuss boundaries and sensitive topics. New players are absolutely welcome. Whether you're familiar with City of Mist or completely new to the setting, we'll help you learn as you play. Characters begin as ordinary people whose lives have become touched by myth, and the campaign gradually explores what that means for them and the city around them. -------------------------- This is a mature game about mystery, mythology, identity, and the stories that define us. It asks not simply what powers you possess, but what kind of person you choose to become when legends begin writing themselves through your life. If you enjoy stories like The Dresden Files, American Gods, Percy Jackson (with a darker tone), Fables, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or Spider-Man at its most personal, you'll probably feel right at home beneath the Mist.

The region of Greyhawk is thriving. However, certain cities and towns around the Crystalmist Mountains have seen an increase in dangerous encounters terrorizing local populations. This game will incorporate your character backstory. The underlying plot will serve as a foundation, but the adventures will be up to you. Lots of roleplay and healthy amounts of combat. Relaxed vibe, learning-sandbox campaign.

Hi.  I run a game on Wednesdays. Eastern time zone on Discord that I feel needs one additional player.   It's a young group (20's, 30's) and have been around for a few years.   There are 5 players.  The game itself has the players with corporate security jobs defending against alternate realities/histories.   So, extreme violence but with the occasional HR training module about problemsolving skills. Yes,  the worst of two worlds. Because it's alternate reality fighting alternate realities, the player can be whatever they want, quite literally anything.  GURPS allows the players to create whatever comes to your imagination,  but we'll worry about that later.  The tricky part isn't what we do but how.  The group does try to outdo each other in weirdness.   It's not murderhobo, but a new unprecedented thing.   So, you will have to keep that in mind.   This is not for the humorless or overly moral or easily uncomfortable. Think of this as a means to lead you down a new path,  one where you learn about a you that you have never met but has always known was there or you get your money back,  no questions asked.  Feel free to message me or discord - yeroldpalwill.  Seriously, they're a nice group of people and you'll have fun.   Having a sense of humor & a personality is a huge plus.  Thank for reading this far.  If you're a newbie  don't worry,  I'll help with the character.   Just combine your two favorite movie, literature, or anime genres together.  Also, Wednesdays,  7 PM eastern.

Hey Everyone!  Me and my group are currently looking for a Dm and Players to join our discord server for a long standing Campaign if possible! We are newer to D&D so we hope to find people that don't mind joining us! We want to create a community of 10+ people to run multiple campaigns later on, as of right now there are 6 members in our discord server so we hope to create a fun and engaging community where everyone can interact and have fun together! We are against paid sessions and believe everyone should be welcomed to join and just have fun in the community  Ideally we'd like to have 1 session a week and we can work out those details later but if we need to run 1 session every other week that's also ok!  For possible players We are a new community in discord so we want to make it a positive experience for everyone and have a much fun as possible! Backgrounds or other personal details don't really matter to us we want to be a open community and have a safe space for everyone to engage and just escape day to day grind life gives us and roll that NAT 20 to seduce the dragon (if that's what you're into 😂) but we also hope to just add more people and grow as a community and build relationships that will last a life time!  So if this is something you're interested in send me a message here or on Discord and I'd love to chat with you! LGBTQ+ Friendly! Welcome everyone! My name is Love. Me and my friend Catie are looking to start up a mini-campaign, we've found 2 lovely people, so we're on the hunt for 2 more players to join us! If this post is still up we're still looking for good folks :) I've introduced a lot of people to the game so I think I'm in a good posi-sh to help anybody learn, my patience is boundless I promise. Eye of the Dunes: A rumor glides on the wind throughout Faerun, from the high courts to the damp alleyways. Kings and orphans alike whisper of the Eye of the Dunes, a wondrous mote of magic said to be able to grant its claimant any wish they desire. It lies sleeping somewhere deep, deep in the deserts of Calimshan, untouched under centuries of blowing winds, for we would surely know if someone had found it. You have banded together with a few other adventurers to brave the sands, an uneasy alliance at best, as in the end only one of you can wield the Eye. There's a lead in the capital city of Calimport, a café owner claims to know something the general populace doesn't, so you've set sail on an overcrowded galleon. You are not the first to try, but perhaps you will be the last.     We play on Foundry (veeery fancy) in a discord call     The campaign is set at a higher level, 8-10, and will last 3-5 session     We'd prefer players around our own age (20 - 34)     We love messing around and making jokes, but we do try to actually tell a story and often roleplay seriously with emotion. I try to be descriptive!     I am from Sweden and my friend is Australian (though a real night-owl), so we can't really play after 19:00 GMT+2     I won't tolerate NASTY behavior, you know, let's have a Good Time, Owl City & Carly Rae Jepson-style     No AI, come on, what are we doing here? About you: Please send us a message telling us about yourself! Stuff like where you're from, what kind of person you'd describe yourself as, your hobbies and so on. To make sure we don't invite EVIL people we need to know who you are, so share as much as you feel comfortable with. Trust me we'll read every word! We'd love to stay in touch and play games once the campaign is done, but no pressure! Thank you for reading, hope to hear from you :) (P.S: happy to share stuff about ourselves too if you have questions!)

“Under a sky streaked gold with morning light, the little town of Phandalin bustles with the everyday magic of a frontier settlement. Merchants haggle over goods, children chase chickens through the square, and old miners swap tall tales at the tavern. But beneath this peaceful surface, something ancient stirs. This is Phandalin. This is Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. And you are about to become the heroes this town didn't know it needed.” 🎲 Level Range: 1–12 🖥️ Platforms: Foundry VTT, Discord (Voice), and Start Playing Games (Scheduling & Payments) ⏰ Session Length: 3.5–4.5 hours, every Tuesday at 9:00 AM EST (1:00 PM GMT) 💰 Price: $24,95 per session 🆓 Session Zero: Completely free! The campaign is fully supported through Foundry VTT, featuring automation, dynamic maps, immersive audio, visual effects, and streamlined character management to keep the focus on roleplay, exploration, and adventure. Welcome to a campaign that embraces classic high-fantasy adventure, full of wonder, camaraderie, and the thrill of discovery. Above all, this table is a safe and welcoming space for every kind of player. Whatever your background, whoever you are, you can set your worries aside and step into a journey full of fantasy and mystery alongside friends old and new. This adventure is also especially crafted for beginners, those who don't yet know much about the world of Dungeons & Dragons or the system that ties it all together. I'll be right there to guide you every step of the way, so whether you've never rolled a d20 in your life or you're a returning adventurer, Phandalin has a place for you at its table. 🏳️‍🌈 Safe and Welcoming Space This table is built on respect, inclusion, and collaboration. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of identity, background, or experience with tabletop RPGs. Whether you're rolling your very first d20 or you're a seasoned adventurer, you'll find a friendly group ready to share an unforgettable story together. The goal is simple: make sure every player feels comfortable, heard, and excited to take part in the adventure. 🗡️ A Classic Call to Adventure Step into one of Dungeons & Dragons' most beloved adventures and discover why Phandalin has become such an iconic destination. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly unfolds into a tale of forgotten legends, ambitious villains, hidden treasures, and ancient mysteries. Along the way, you'll meet memorable allies and dangerous foes while exploring a vibrant corner of the Forgotten Realms filled with history, intrigue, and opportunity. ⛰️ Exploration and Discovery Adventure lies beyond every winding trail and weathered doorway. Venture into forgotten temples, abandoned mines, ruined fortresses, and long-lost dungeons, each hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Exploration rewards curiosity, careful planning, and clever thinking, offering magical relics, hidden lore, and unexpected encounters for those willing to stray from the beaten path. 🔍 Mystery and Investigation Not every challenge can be solved with a sword. The people of Phandalin each have stories to tell, motives to hide, and secrets worth uncovering. Observant players who ask questions, connect clues, and investigate the world around them will often discover new opportunities, hidden dangers, and alternative solutions that might otherwise remain unseen. 🎭 Roleplay at Heart This is a character-driven game where your choices matter just as much as your abilities. Meaningful conversations, difficult decisions, and memorable relationships are at the heart of the experience. I encourage players to embrace their characters' personalities, ideals, flaws, and goals, creating moments that feel genuine and rewarding. Those who actively engage with the world and bring their characters to life will find the story responding in kind. ⚔️ Meaningful Combat Every battle serves a purpose within the narrative. Some encounters test your tactical skill, others challenge your resource management, and a few may force difficult moral decisions. Victory isn't always guaranteed, and rushing headlong into danger can carry lasting consequences. Teamwork, creativity, and strategy are often just as valuable as a powerful weapon or spell. 🗺️ Cinematic Presentation The world comes alive through immersive presentation. Official module maps enhanced in Foundry VTT, carefully selected music, atmospheric sound effects, dynamic lighting, and vivid narration work together to create memorable scenes. Whether you're descending into forgotten ruins, standing before a looming fortress, or sharing a quiet conversation in a bustling tavern, every moment is presented with the goal of making you feel like you're living inside the story. 📜 Campaign Listing: If you'd like to read the full campaign details, character creation guidelines, house rules, and reserve your seat, you can find everything here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrdy1gb300gok204lq1k7t7h?ref=cmjkeghcz002oif042ddtkai4 Any questions or interested in joining? Long-term, ongoing, high fantasy campaign. Long-term as in many years. 4 players and a DM(me) can seat up to two more.  Tons of lore in a campaign world that I have been running games in for almost 40 years.  ALL folks, 18+, welcome as we are three guys and two gals that range widely in age, from 53(me) to 18. We are very casual with roughly 30% RP, 30% combat, 20% exploration, and 20% BS, and chatting. Poker night atmosphere. We play weekly on Saturday from 8ish until 2am at my home in Belmont, East Dayton.
