Prosperon: a Bio-Cyberpunk RPG

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
No paid games No paid games
I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time.

[5E 2014] looking for players Long-Term D&D 5e Campaign | Level 16 | Homebrew | 18+ Looking for 2 players for an ongoing long-term homebrew campaign. About 8 sessions in, party's Level 14. We play Fridays at 5 PM EST, 5-6 hour sessions, 18+. Mix is roughly 70% roleplay/exploration, 30% combat. The worldSet entirely inside the Hell Dimension — not a few layers, but an entire universe built around a Hell-sized planet. Divided into massive regions ("Rings") ruled by Warlords, kingdoms, ancient beings, and the Seven Deadly Sins. Most of what you'll actually experience revolves around the Warlords and the civilizations under them. Places you visit change over time — wars continue, alliances shift, even when you're not there. *Tone:Takes the world seriously but the table isn't grim all the time — emotional moments and real consequences, but also plenty of jokes and chaos. Good/Neutral characters fit best. Characters:Build your own world before your character lands in Hell — any genre (medieval, cyberpunk, post-apoc, whatever) — or plug into existing lore I've got built out (gods, kingdoms, Warlords, history). Most characters arrive by dying or making a deal with a Sin, but other concepts (Hellborn, tied to a Warlord, etc.) are welcome too. *Combat: Standard 5e (2014) rules for players — homebrew is mostly on my end (bosses, unique creatures, world mechanics). Fights are heavily homebrewed with custom abilities and phases. Not every fightneeds to be a fight — negotiating, alliances, or running are often the smarter play. NPCsBuilt to feel like real people, not quest dispensers — they remember how you treat them, and relationships (friendships, rivalries, even romance if it fits) develop based on your choices. Inspiration: Pulls from anime, mythology, and games, but rebuilt into its own original setting — not a crossover. Looking for: Players with 1 year+ D&D experience who like roleplay, worldbuilding, and long-term investment. Reliability and good communication matter more than rules knowledge. Interested? DM me your timezone, experience, playstyle, and a character idea (even a rough one — happy to help develop it). I do use images for the npc generally they are just an anime character so I don't even use them I just sent a GIF but i use it for the map

ELEVATOR PITCH: Supernatural and Cryptids themed Cyberpunk Red SCHEDULE: Wednesdays from 7:00pm-9:30pm cst LENGTH of GAME: Weekly / 2-3 hours PLATFORM: Discord and Fantasy Grounds VTT GAME DESCRIPTION: Something strange is afoot in Night City circa 2056. The fourth corporate war has ended and the rebuilding of the former combat zones is in mid swing. Gangs still control great amounts of territory but NCPD and the current government is taking steps to intervene and take their city back. Johnny Silverhand and Samurai are considered classics verging on "Dad Rock" and a young V is still learning their times-tables. Night City is far from calm however. the radiation zones have been cleaned, but the bombs may have caused something beneath to stir. The corporate war allowed some keen eyed and interested parties to maneuver themselves in to new positions of power. The reconstruction efforts have pushed territory lines not just for the gangs but the hunting grounds of things normally unseen. The poser gang modeling themselves as werewolves might not be posing. The rumors about that alligator in the sewer are only half right, its actually a whole trade city. And if some people are reporting seeing doorways to unspeakable worlds down alleyways maybe thats why Kiroshi is pushing their update to the latest optics firmware so harshly. But Night City is Night City and work still needs to get done. Fixers still have jobs, even if they have a few unexpected quirks. Besides those teeth arent actually real, they're just cyberware... right? ...Right? ADDITIONAL INFO: We are a relatively un-serious group (Previous characters consisting of a underground musician dressed in shaman robes, a doctor more prone to drinking the antiseptic alcohol than using it on his patients and an engineer convinced he's a wizard and his inventions are magic) with a great deal of combined RPG experience behind us, however we are all relatively new to the Cyberpunk Red system and Fantasy Grounds VTT itself so we're taking it casual and happily making mistakes together as we feel out the rules and we are happy to bring on more to get to know this system with us! We alternate between Theatre of Mind and VTT being used for larger set pieces We are hoping to add one or two more players to the early stages of our brand new campaign. Players should be Adults, mid-20s or older and open to collaborative gaming and the 'spotlight' moving from person to person depending on the session and jobs that differ in style.

PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's few enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Thought I should mention, no other GM I ever heard of even online has thought to link a campaign to time very consistently. Me, I break it down to years and months, and give the campaign a definite ending and thus a conclusion to the storyline (Vampire the Masquerade). I am THAT relentlessly thorough! Same goes for Pathfinder. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a single male skinwalker crocodile melee Fighter, a female tiefling Wizard, a female aasimar Cleric, a female storm changeling Gunslinger, a female unchained sylph Rogue. Don't do anything that imposes mental conditions in Iron Gods, lots of robots, undead. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters, but played by players of either biological sex. Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves, Drow, Trollans (based on orko from masters of the universe), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Gunslingers, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result, since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role.  These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very culture centric, but there are rare outside examples), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  listen, I have some rules for players. 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

Hello! I am a streamer who goes by GalaktikDragon and I'm looking for one or two more players for a game of VtM I plan to run on my stream. I am a semi practiced GM, but will be new to running V20+Future world of Darkness to create a cyberpunk style city setting, all original characters and no links to exisitng properties. I just call it Cyberpunk so people can understand the vibe of the city.  I have 3 players ready to go. 1 experienced and 2 brand new. just looking to fill out the party with some nice people who wouldn't mind streaming the game on Tuesday afternoons PST. We will be using FoundryVTT and Stoat for Voice as I no longer trust Discord after being hacked. Thanks

This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. You gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits. No twinks (must have absolute power immediately types), but I will assist you with the math to make a potent PC as possible. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores, and ruthlessly so. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), and I am adept at teaching, I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. Vampire has difficult to make characters (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month. The only thing I haven't added in is the end of the world, Gehenna, YET. The modern day core rulebook is the one you want to spend time reading for the lore, but dark ages will have the discipline dice mechanics. Also, the Book of Nod will feature in the campaign. VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed if you do exactly the right things at the right time, you will want to take notes to refer to later on, no exaggeration. RIght now they are in mid 1990, you will get their average xp to start with. You even get free generation if I can find a sire, an extra dot of disciplines, and 5 extra freebie plus 2 merits (Potent Aura, Common Sense/1 dot of Status). I give free Generation if you take from the official list. This can vary wildly based on what the two of us come up with (you dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc). If you take from the Obscure list, you can buy your generation to 7th if you blow 6 background points on it.  Still gotta pick up Mentor for your sire, though.    I had to make tiny changes to V20 to make it simpler, faster. Like Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. Also I don't use abilities like Awareness, Larceny, and I kept the damn Linguistics, Dodge as they are needed. That kind of thing. I even have combat rounds with meaningful character range when I gotta be aware of the local terrain/number of villains etc. The Giovanni I replaced with Cappadocians and Lamia, as the Giovanni were megalomaniacs and incompetent besides, plus they don't seem to be at all relevant to any setting. The Ravnos I replaced as being totally divorced from the rest of the game, they don't have any influence, and seem to exist solely for troublemaking players. So, they got booted in favor of the Salubri, who actually ARE useful from a GM's perspective. Finally, I outright replaced all Setites with Baali, the latter are a much better written, and much more competent version of the Setites' Lovecraftian "I wanna bring demons into the world" schtick.  I noticed that if you played the Sabbat as written, they'd be wiped out entirely by werewolves, human hunters, and the Camarilla long ago. Worse, if they somehow managed to survive, they'd be discovered as vampires by humanity BECAUSE of their silly anti masquerade antics. On top of that, eating one's elders is a bad idea. All the Sabbat had was neonates and super buff elders, nothing in between. That means their stated purpose was a shambles. I changed their purpose to (eliminating the focus on fighting clan founders) dominating humanity, making humans into slaves. The Black Hand has been subsumed into the Sabbat as a whole. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce, Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia. if you pick from the official list, I can give you free generation, but you gotta also pay for mentor ratings. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 dots to pull it off. You will likely still need a mentor though. Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tzimisce who goes Camarilla eventually has huge story potential, and could aid the group extensively via Vicissitude, Koldunism (need a level 3 ritual late in the campaign), and Animalism to hose over werewolves and aid the party vs frenzy. Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, True Brujah, and the healer version of Salubri, all have clan access to Presence, and level 3 of that power requires Appearance being high, so a PC could be quite the entrepreneur among vampires and humans..... A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla).  If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the core rulebook, the dark ages core rulebook, tome of secrets, and Erciyes Fragments books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. You will want a spiral notebook and a mech pencil with a white eraser preferred (its gonna be a super complicated campaign lasting at least 2 years of weekly sessions). A plastic page protector for the character sheet, and a wet erase marker. Might be a good idea to get the V20 modern core book just for the fluff and abilities, but that's up to you as it isn't strictly necessary. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset.

Game Edition: 5.5e, 5e, and homebrew Experience: None required Session Time: Sundays PST, 1:00-5:00 PM Requirements: Discord, Google Docs, mic, device System: Modified point buy, fixed HP, metric-based leveling (Custom), no multiclassing, homebrew allowed Themes: High fantasy, low fantasy, some dark themes, some sci-fi, some political intrigue, some modern themes This is a long-term campaign with heavy homebrew. The storyline may extend upwards to 7 years over 3-4 campaigns. There is also a spot for a co-DM if any of you are interested. Lucid Adventure is a world-renowned VMMORPG accessed entirely through a person's dreams, known for its unparalleled realism and absolute freedom. As a limitless sandbox game, it functions as a literal second world for its users. The game was created by Giga, the country's most powerful corporation. While the general public initially dismissed it as a mere simulation, players are shocked by the game's realism upon first logging on. The game changed more than just how people played games; top-ranking players were treated as global celebrities, and real-world economic opportunities increasingly depended on a person's in-game capabilities. Furthermore, Lucid Adventure offered employment to injured or disabled individuals, enabling them to regain their physical mobility. Professor Altria Pendragon wrote a paper about Lucid Adventure called “The Fulfillment of Dreams,” in which she famously wrote: "This game is a new wave. For lack of a better word, it is an evolution and revolution of a new mankind." The Legends of Arithea

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! Homebrew Homebrew
Adult Adult
Hello, I'm looking for 3-5 experienced players of D&D, so sorry to any beginners. I’m looking for those who like Dragon Ball, RP, and wouldn't mind rules that are heavier/crunchier than usual. You MUST be 21+ and I would prefer it if you are from a NA timezone. Schedule It'll take place in discord vc every Friday 5pm to 11pm CST. 5pm being the earliest we start and 11pm the latest I'm willing to run till, so it may be possible to start later or end early some session but ideally 3-5 hours of playtime is what I'm shooting for. I don't have an official start date as I want to pick the best players for the game. It’s hard to give an estimate to how long this game will go on for but I expect it to be a long-term campaign. Expectations It goes without saying that basic manners and engaging with the game sincerely are expected, but for me the biggest thing is communication. What I mean by that is tell me what you liked, didn't like, want to see more of, see less of, and especially if you're not going to be able to attend the session or not or if you're just straight up not happy with the game. Failing this as well as any other basic manners will warrant you getting kicked from the game pretty quickly. System and Homebrew The majority of the homebrew and system are built on 2014 rules but I will defer to 2024 if the ruling is more concise or simply better. I expect the players to all be the same class, which is the Martial Artist class, but this allows the player to easily steer it in whatever direction they want. We will be using roll20 for combat, rolls, and character sheets. There will be a lot to learn but we will go over it as a group. The homebrew module can be found here. Certain races and options will not be allowed but I will go over that in detail once in game. Tone Starting out things will be more focused on a somewhat grounded adventure like DB was starting out and after sometime will transition into higher stakes like in DBZ. I'm hoping to keep things within the spirit of Dragon Ball so quite relaxed at times with intentionally funny bits that can easily be reversed into serious, life threatening, heroic moments. However, role play is taken very seriously, so what you say and do isn't taken lightly. Even if the silly moments happen the people within them do not treat their lives as a joke. I will not accept any joke characters, overly dramatic, or brooding/edgy characters. I expect the player characters to be mostly heroic or even morally gray. This is all expected because it helps keep things lighthearted yet emotionally grounded. Setting The campaign takes place on Earth in the year 1000, a new millennium is here, and along with it the 100th World Martial Arts Tournament. It is centuries past the era of the Z-Fighters but their effects are still rippling throughout the universe. Martial arts, ki control, sciences, and magic are widely understood and studied by many, if not all. Say Goku on the last question in the application to prove to me you’ve read the post. The Dragon Balls still play a major role for many people and worlds. It is even the grand prize for whoever wins the tournament! It has led to the reshaping and growth of many worlds and races once thought lost or nearing extinction. This does not mean that the road ahead has already been walked, in fact, there is not only an entire world but a universe to explore! Recap and Conclusion Looking for 21+ 3-5 experienced D&D players from NA time zones who like Dragon ball, RP, combat, and do not mind learning and complex rules. Willingness to engage not only in your character seriously but others and even NPCs. Engaging with the world and setting seriously, even when it comes across as silly If this sounds interesting to you the application for the game can be found here and I will contact you on discord for a VC interview. I'm really looking forward to seeing some applications!

Hey my names Jack and i have been a DM for a long time. Being a Dungeon Master is fun, but of course as a DM you also want to be the Player yourself in some Campaigns. This is what this game is for. I am looking for 1 other DM who would like to take part in a Round Robin style of Game with the rest of the existing group. Round Robin is where each Player gets a Turn to be the DM. 1 Person DM's a Story arc or Oneshot dependent on how they feel and then the next Person takes over and the Person who DM'd gets to play his Character. For this game i will be using Discord as Voice and VTT Foundry as the tabletop. a Webcam is not required. We are strictly against AI Art and want no use of it in our games and are supportive of LGBTQ, if you do have problems with either of these things dont even bother messaging me. Requirements: 18+ Years of Age Fluent in English Time once per Week for a 4~ Hour Session Saturday 20:00 GMT+2 A Good Microphone (with no Interruptions in the Background) The game will take place in European timezone and we cannot change this.

Combat focused Combat focused
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
The Dutonic Valley was subjugated for over three centuries, but the spirit of its people was never broken. Following the devastation of the Burning of the Wood, the might of the Mirric oppressors was finally broken. Now, Dutonic tribes have once more gained a foothold in their ancestral homeland. Many eccentric tribes have arises from the smoke. Some fight to reclaim the Dutonic heartland in the marshes along the river, while other tribes have carved out petty kingdoms in the highlands. Cults, pagans, noble kings, merciless warlords. In the upcoming arc, a new set of cultures are released on the edges of the map. The surviving Miralenians, the fierce Falmarci, and more now contend for the fertile land of the Dutonic Valley, while its defenders must stand against the tide and retain a grip on their long-ailing homeland. - In this campaign, you join the ongoing chaos to carve out a future for your people. You create a faction leader and develop your lands to shape your realm and rule. You can fight battles to gain new lands or raid enemy factions. The wargame is a D6 dice pool based game, using small units of about 4-10 models and about 6-12 units per side. With unique weapon traits and unit traits, positioning and clever engagements are key to victory. - This is a bit of a hybrid experience, combining grand strategy and a tactical wargame with pbp roleplay. You've got some of the classic trappings of strategy games in managing territories and building armies, but with a grand TTRPG feel. Alliances come from both ideology and circumstance. With a campaign map to track valuable resources, the spread of rival powers, and warlords on the lurk, the consequences of diplomacy are tangible. Through letters, trade, and roleplay spaces you can manoeuvre through the growing web of factions and ensure your people persist through it all. The campaign operates on a weekly turn, during which your actions and decisions tick over and you reap the benefits of your rule, or face its unfortunate consequences. However, you can scheme, send letters, and manage your realm any time. The campaign is designed for around 10 to 15 players.

Are you German or Austrain? Or even a speaker of Deutsch? You are? Splendid! (Deutsche Version des folgenden Beitrags) Greetings adventurer, traveler, warrior, mage, and thief. It is time for mind bending adventures beyond time and belief. I am Huffle of the Buff, a student of German. In an effort to learn, I shall run you a Play By Post game, we shall then write and converse in the language of thy birth. There are two options for our campaign. It will be Play by Post only, for I cannot yet speak German, only write (my skills are incomplete). Game 1: The Crimson Party, Themes: Morally grey, revolution, rebel conflict, and witch-hunting (you are the witch). Based on my own incomplete novel of the same name: https://www.wattpad.com/1210870088-the-crimson-party-chapter-1 You awaken to a red moon, and cannot help but think of the blood in your veins. You are a murderer, thief, heretic, or an innocent person who simply knows how to use magic in this land where only Paladins are allowed to wield forces beyond the physical. By the next red moon, you will hang from the gates of Blackerly, the most high security prison in the Four Duchies. Your escape is possible, your survival improbable, your revenge and the downfall of this land? Up to you. The circumstances with which you have come here are irrelevant, what matters is the time you have left until you are hung from a tree, and your corpse left to the Warden's gentle studies. Game 2: Afterwards, Themes: Post-apocalyptic, disease, horror, madness, and intense fanaticism. You had just awoken, or were nearing your slumber. You may have been outside under bright sunlight, or exploring a graveyard. Maybe you were soaked neck deep in the blood of your enemies under the bright lights of an underground arena, or deep in the fumes of an abandoned library nook. It matters not, what matters is what you received. A letter, a dream, a pouch full of paper scraps, a slate of bark, clouds suddenly converging above you into runes only you could read, or the puddle you made of some monster forming itself into letters describing an address. With the message came an object, suddenly appearing from under the paper as if conjured, or dropping from the claws of some bird, or flowing to you down the stream in a miniature wooden ship. It was important enough, notable enough, or merely interesting and precious to the degree that it persuaded you to go to the address described. However, the last line of the message was always the same for each of you: Come Alone. Game Details, System: D&D 5e (2014) Module: Homebrew, with a few ideas cribbed from established settings. Second campaign IS set on the sword coast...but a different one. Platform: Discord Session Time: No specific time. Play by post, with a minimum requirement of posting once a day. If you feel you cannot maintain this schedule, you can leave the game and we will still be friends, but please do not ghost. Tone: Equal mix of combat and role-play, combat will be done on maps, with player positions changed each turn. Feel Free to make your own tokens! Player Experience: Do you speak German? That's all I need from you. I'd like to write these game posts in both German and English to practice the language more. Then you can reply in German so I can get reading practice. (DMs with your discord ID preferred, and feel free to tell me a bit about yourself. Experience, lines and limits, preferences. Your level of German if you are not a native speaker. What sort of character concept you'd like to play.) -------------------------------------------------------------- Seeking Brave and Lost Souls (German Version), Seid gegrüßt Abenteurer, Reisende, Krieger, Magier und Diebe. Es ist Zeit für wahnwitzige Abenteuer jenseits von Zeit und Verstand. Ich bin Huffle of the Buff, ein Deutschlernender. (DMs with your preferred discord ID, and feel free to tell me a bit about yourself. Experience, lines and limits, preferences. Your level of German if you are not a native speaker. What sort of character concept you'd like to play.)

🎓 Who Are You? You are a student at the **Nocturne Conservatory**, a hidden college for young witches beneath the town of Duskfall. Most students are between **18 and 22 years old**, balancing two very different lives. By day, you attend classes, work part-time jobs, hang out with friends, and try to survive college. By night, you study advanced magic, dangerous rituals, and centuries-old traditions. Whether you were born into the magical community or discovered it later, you're still trying to figure out who you want to become. --- # 🏫 Your Two Worlds ## ☀️ Life Above Ground Outside the Conservatory, Duskfall functions like any other small coastal college town. You might spend your days: - Attending university lectures - Working a part-time job - Meeting friends at cafés - Going to concerts - Pulling all-nighters before exams - Exploring the town - Joining clubs or organizations Most people believe Duskfall is completely ordinary. They're wrong. --- ## 🌙 The Nocturne Conservatory Hidden beneath abandoned salt mines lies one of the oldest magical colleges in existence. Here you'll study subjects like: - Ritual Magic - Arcane Theory - Demonology - Magical History - Wards & Protection - Potion Brewing - Cursecraft - Spirit Studies -Evocation -Divination Your professors expect excellence. Failure can have consequences beyond a failing grade. --- # 🎭 What Is This Campaign About? This is a character-driven supernatural mystery focused on: 🔮 Magic 🕵️ Investigations 🎓 College Life 🤝 Friendships & Rivalries 📖 Hidden History 🩸 Difficult Choices While combat certainly happens, your greatest tools are curiosity, teamwork, and creative problem solving. --- # 🧙 Creating Your Character Think about the person behind the magic. ### What are you studying? Examples include: - Magical Law - Ritual Studies - Alchemy - Spirit Research - Enchantments - Magical Medicine - Ancient Languages --- What's your life like outside class? Do you... - Work at a bookstore? - Play in a local band? - Run the campus radio station? - Captain an intramural team? - Volunteer in town? - Spend every night buried in the library? --- How do you feel about magic? Maybe it's... - Your calling. - Your family tradition. - Just another subject to pass. - A burden. - An obsession. - Something you're still learning to trust. --- Why did you come to the Conservatory? Everyone has their own reason. Maybe you wanted: - Knowledge. - Freedom. - Answers. - Prestige. - Adventure. - A fresh start. --- 💬 Roleplaying Tips Your character is an adult, but adulthood doesn't mean having everything figured out. Lean into uncertainty. Make mistakes. Build friendships. Question authority. Support your classmates. Sometimes the biggest victories happen outside of combat. --- 📖 What Your Character Knows Every student knows: ✅ Magic exists. ✅ The Nocturne Conservatory is one of the oldest magical colleges in the world. ✅ Duskfall has a hidden magical community. ✅ Magical traditions are deeply important. ✅ Strange things occasionally happen around town. Your character does **not** automatically know: ❌ Every magical secret. ❌ Every hidden faction. ❌ The truth behind Duskfall's history. ❌ Why certain traditions exist. Those answers will be discovered throughout the campaign. --- 🌒 Welcome to Duskfall Study hard. Trust carefully. Question everything. Because in Duskfall... **Some secrets have been waiting centuries for someone to uncover them.**

"Sang root tea! Warm right up with genuine sang root tea, harvested fresh from the frontier!" A weathered man in an equally weathered duster raps a knuckle on a dome-shaped contraption. It springs to life, as if jolted from deep slumber, skating precariously at the edge of his cart as steam pours out from an exhaust pipe protruding from the rear. A man in a pinstriped tailcoat and black bowler hat approaches the cart, waving his hand and pulling a billfold out of an inner pocket. The transaction-to-be pauses suddenly as the entire street darkens under a massive shape passing overhead. A brief, shared moment of wonder stops the citygoers in their tracks as a colossal spheroid airship coasts regally over the city, leaving white plumes of steam in its wake. Welcome to the streets of Newgoode, the heart of commerce in the Umbersun Commonwealth, and home of Newgoode College. Your story begins with the arrest of Alva VanOstrand, head of the VanOstrand family and president of the Clearband Company, the premier brand for food and drink across the Commonwealth. Make your mark in the streets of the greatest city in Auropa be you friend, family, or adversary of the VanOstrand family. Hi everyone, and thank you for reading this far. I'm Daniel, also known as kimchigrub, and I'm inviting you to join in a playtest campaign for an independent tabletop RPG called Chrysopoeia. The game takes place in Auropa, a world inspired by a 19th century steampunk aesthetic with alchemy as the progenitor of magic and technology. I've been developing the game for the better part of 10 years with the goal of testing the limits of player agency in a tabletop with features including: - a dynamic, stamina-based action economy - open ended classless progression - alchemy-inspired magic complete with custom spellcasting - robust dice pool system for checks and attack rolls, and a lot more. The Player's Guide is ready for early-stage playtesting, but is a work in progress with continued expansions planned and on the way. Whether you're a veteran DM, or if you've only rolled dice for Monopoly, all are welcome to join the playtest as players or as GMs. I appreciate any amount of interest you have and I hope to hear from you!

Party up and play when your schedule allows. Travel a hex grid. Meet, recruit, and barter with NPCs across the world. Carve out your name in infamy, fame, or obscurity.  How? Discord used for communication and record keeping. Miro used for visuals. Voice recorded, transcribed, and processed for notes to keep the world consistent. To enter the game contact via discord or Groupfinder DM if interested. Who is playing? Drop in/Drop out West Marches style. Play 1-on-1 with DM any time on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, or coordinate with others to schedule with other players in group effort. Player cooperation not required, you can adventure with NPCs for equal treasure share or hire them on other terms. Speak with players out or inside of game to meet in specific places. Enter the timeline in approved places. Having multiple characters in multiple locations in the game is advantageous as the world is vast and distance takes time to traverse. What are the rules? - Chainmail (some not all), The 3 brown booklets. - Knowing the rules isn't required to play because it's so simple - Character classes are: Magic-User, Fighting-Man, Cleric, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit Tips? - The DM will not remind players of quest options available to the players. - Notes and good memory are important. Knowledge is precious. - Hiring NPCs is a core mechanic - No set story. No narrative or character arcs. Story emerges from random results of the game, so play like no one is watching but the NPCs.

Running a lgbtq friendly once a month game. I’ve been dming for 8 years. I run role play focused games that are laid back and fun while still having interesting and engaging plot lines. Combat is included but not the main focus. This is a homebrew game, I’m making the playbook myself and seeking 4-10 players for my table to run this game for! Second Tuesday of every month 5pm EDT. My games normally run for 1-2 hours per session. New players welcome, my largest request is that you’re respectful at the table! I look forward to running this for you.

Tales of Acaridian: Moth to a Flame

Homebrew Homebrew
Adult Adult
Moth to a Flame — A D&D Campaign The first act of The Tales of Acaridian Wrath has ruptured amongst an elder reality, destroying everything and bleeding its corruption into ours. Acaridian is a simple world of fantasy but not at the mercy of its own chaos. We are set in the desert of Anibuah, a land of dune and scorching rays of heat and herds of vicious monsters, the land is threatened by orcs and elementals as the dragons slumber begins to break from chains beneath, a titan that must remain sealed and now our party is here in search for a lost relic, one which may prevent the titan from awakening, but first they must find the hall of judgement, where the elder god Judge had imprisoned Diablo the dragon titan of ages.. Moth to a Flame focuses heavily on: Exploration with rich worldbuilding, deep lore, high fantasy, cosmic horror and meaningful character progression. Evolving combats and boss encounters, as well as cosmic wonders and chances, the bigger the parties influence, the stronger the enemies. This campaign has a unique Homebrew Rune System, using charts to grant creatures runes based on words forming their own unique element with its own rarity and authority over other rune power. Runes is a massive concept for the Acaridian Series and is a great way to explore creativity. I use homebrew feats to impliment abilities and google docs for stats, its simple but it can be a little overwhelming at first, but trust me once your in the flow, its amazing. Important notes: We are LGBTQ+ friendly but we aren't sensitive friendly, if your not a fan of loudness, dark humor, etc, then i do not suggest you join our group Age span would prefer between 18-30 years old I would prefer all members to have a somewhat flexible time, for if we ever decide to extend our sessions longer or need to change our sessions times And lastly, be able to operate dnd beyond, owlbear rodeo, and talk in call on discord The Session Times: AEST UTC+10 Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-1:30pm In CST time i believe thats 6:30pm-10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! have a great day adventurer.

Ravenloft Parish: Curse of Strahd in Louisiana

Homebrew Homebrew
Horror Horror
Before I begin on the actual campaign related content: I am looking for people who would be interested in helping test run a system I have been working on for a good couple years. If that at all interests you, then please message me. Ravenloft Parish is the symbiosis of classic southern gothic tropes and settings with the story of Curse of Strahd. The valley of Barovia is a swampy hellscape deep in the heart of rural Louisiana. Forgotten by the rest of the world, it is the toybox for a vindictave and powerful vampire, whose power has stood uncontested for centuries.

Greetings adventurers, I’m putting together a group for Curse of Strahd, a gothic horror campaign set in the mist-shrouded land of Barovia. This will be a story-driven game with a strong focus on atmosphere, character development, and meaningful choices. I have heavily modified the plot so it can be new and interesting even it players who have already played it before. Expect tension, moral dilemmas, and a persistent sense that something is always watching. Game Details: System: D&D 5e Platform: Discord (voice), Theater of the Mind Time: Evenings (EST), weekday or weekend depending on group availability Session Length: ~3-4 hours Party Size: 4-5 players About the Campaign: Curse of Strahd is a dark, roleplay-heavy adventure featuring horror themes, exploration, and deadly encounters. Barovia is not forgiving, your decisions matter, and survival is not guaranteed. That said, I aim to balance challenge with fun and collaborative storytelling. What I’m Looking For: Players who enjoy roleplay and character-driven stories Reliable attendance and communication Respectful, team-oriented mindset All experience levels welcome (new players included) Tone & Style: Gothic horror, suspense, and mystery Mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat Serious tone with room for natural humor Character Creation: Starting level: 3 Official content preferred, with homebrew considered on a case-by-case basis Characters should fit a darker setting I may advise you to alter some aspects of your character's build if it is to "meta" If you’re interested, send me a message with: Name (or what you’d like to be called) Age (18+ preferred) Experience with D&D What you enjoy most in a campaign A rough character idea (optional but encouraged) Here is my Homebrew I intend to use:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ht9SKgzaYDsFcAZoRayCbBhnG8hcMxXKHFWP9pHd1yY/edit?tab=t.0 Message me on discord at chiknsht if you are interested.

The PCs are level 7 at the moment and built from a heroic ability score array with a free feat, while the campaign features heavy roleplay and difficult, strategic combat encounters. Future sessions are expected to take the party south down the Dessarin Valley and later to fight a war to liberate Mithral Hall from an invasion by orcs, while the party maintains a home base in Phandalin. The sessions are in person in east San José in California's Bay Area and take place every other Saturday, from 11 AM to roughly 5 PM.

The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq7tyim4007bjs04bh2hluyy?q=moonlighters  Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.

Looking for Players for a variety of campaigns

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hey everyone! Our group is looking for another player to join our table long term. We’re a pretty tight-knit group where everyone enjoys taking turns behind the screen, so ideally we’re looking for someone who would be excited to both play and DM from time to time. We play every Sunday at 4 PM MST and consistency is a huge thing for us. We’re hoping to find someone who genuinely looks forward to Sundays and wants to be part of the group beyond just showing up for session time. Outside of D&D, we game together regularly and are always down to try new games. While 5e is our main D&D system, we branch out into other stuff too depending on what people are interested in. We also heavily prefer homebrewed campaign settings and original worlds over prewritten modules. Creativity is a big part of our group, and we enjoy building stories together. Along with that, we do use AI tools for brainstorming, character art, and note taking, so we’d want someone who’s comfortable with that as part of the creative process. A little about us: • Ages range from 25-35 • Preferably looking for someone 21+ • We enjoy a good mix of roleplay, combat, chaos, and dumb group humor • We value reliability, creativity, and collaborative storytelling • We want people who are interested in actually hanging out and gaming outside of just session time too If you’re looking for a consistent group to hang with, game with during the week, and build awesome stories together on Sundays, shoot me a message and tell us a bit about yourself, your DM style, and the kinds of games you enjoy!

grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...

In the frontier town of Greystone, where merchants shout their wares and adventurers pass through on their way to unknown destinations, a note on the town board catches your eye: beekeeper Milla's most loyal companion, Sir Barkalot, has vanished, and a reward of two handfuls of gold awaits whoever brings him safely home. Some speak of strange little figures in the fields, while others whisper of dark forces pulling the strings. One thing is certain: this will be an adventure that tests your courage, wits, and teamwork, with hopefully as much laughter as danger along the way!

(Warning this is a dnd like not dnd) you live in a small town in the country-side. You get "recruited" to a private school you never heard of, your parents agree to send you there sense it's free because of a "scholarship" you definitely deserve. The day before your first day at that school you start seeing a dark figure. Yes this is a spirit summoning game where you battle with different spirits coming from different places. (inspired by persona and Shamman king) Your Character gets a partner Spirit that can be of 3 main spirit types: Shines: spirits made by postive emotions. maybe your character really likes jokes so their spirit is a clown. Shades: spirits made by negative emotions. maybe your character really hates being social so their spirit is scary to scare off others. Object Spirits: spirits made by strong emotions towards objects. Maybe your character really likes a spinning top so their spirit is a spinning top. other Spirit types: Bound Spirits: spirits made by a living things dying but being bound by something such as a goal or a resposability. Mythical Spirits: Spirits made by legends or myths because humans believe they'll real. Game Themes: low fanasty, modern, school live, horror this campaign is still being made and wouldn't be ready for a few months.

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Monday – Saturday, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)

I will be making a new campaign and looking for players. Focus of the game will be on survival more and slower story and enchanced by a lot of homebrew contents. It will also feature a lot from the furry fandom from species to actions and worldbuilding. It will feature VORE and IT WILL BE A CORE PART OF THE WOLRD. So if you dont like vore, furries and similar I reccomend scrolling onward. I will never ask for any payment. The games will be run on owlbear, or if I manage to learn foundry it will be there.  I am relatively new DM so bear with me. With those things out of the way now more about the campaign: Players start lvl 3. All races except humans are allowed. Homebrew races too(like demi-dragon) but ask first. All players get one FREE magical item tied to their origin that upgrades with them as they level up or if they do a big thing. In combat roleplay is more then recommended, meaning even if you roll low but salvage it with rp you might pass the check. There will be a lot of vore, the nsfw warning is there just becouse of that. I will be using a custom rulebook(modification of other vore rulebooks) for handling vore, which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rvMRkA1YIjp2vz4q0JMIHJbqkM_djb74VGuhCyLCGUw/edit?usp=sharing

Our world used to be normal. That was before a small, fanatical cult of demon worshipers ripped open the fabrics of reality, violently dragging pieces of alien dimensions into ours. In doing so, they shattered everything we once knew. They unleashed horrific, unseen creatures into our eco-system, and even the familiar animals and insects of our world have been permanently mutated by the magical fallout. Survival here means constantly fighting the cult's influence, uncovering the mysteries of this fractured reality, and protecting the innocent people you meet along the way. Amidst the chaos, remnants of humanity have gathered in isolated villages, desperately clinging to the fading science and technology of the old world. Living alongside them are displaced extra-dimensional refugees who were dragged through the rifts. These travelers are teaching us their magic, fusing ancient science with alien mysticism so we can finally rebuild. Living monsters weren't the only things dragged through the rifts. Power-infused runes, lost old-world technologies, and alien treasures are waiting in the wilds. You just have to survive long enough to find them. Campaign Details

Rolicrite "Realms of Chaos"

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
I run a homebrew game set in Exandria. We use Roll20 and Discord (Physical dice encouraged). Will often allow ROC over RAW. SUNDAYS: 11:30AM EST (3-4 player spots available) Continent: Rolicrite (Rohl-uh-kreet)-((Roll A Crit haha)) An ever shifting island continent, of the Shattered Teeth. In the wake of the Gods' fall a century ago, the ancient wards that once concealed the island kingdom of Rolicrite shattered, revealing its shores to the world. For centuries, Rolicrite thrived in isolation, a bastion of untold magic safeguarded by enchantments as old as time. When the barriers between planes were torn asunder and the gods were stripped of their divine might, the island of Rolicrite became a crucible of arcane backlash. Nature itself rebelled. The skies ruptured with fury, birthing an unrelenting tempest that raged for 100 days and 100 nights. Though the initial Hundred Storms faded, the magic of Rolicrite was changed forever. Even now, years later arcane maelstrom storms, remnants of that cataclysmic event return without warning. Towering cyclones of arcane chaos twist across the island, sometimes touching down with devastating effect. Their presence is marked by violent weather, mutating energy fields, and magical surges that cause spells to backfire, mutate, or even rewrite the laws of physics briefly. But the true terror begins once the storm has passed. When the Maelstrom lifts, it leaves behind a dead zone. A scar across the land where the Weave is utterly severed. In these Nullfields, magic simply ceases to exist. Spells fail, enchanted items lie dormant, and even divine miracles fall silent. These zones can last anywhere from a single day to a month, and their shape and size are unpredictable. Creatures caught within a Nullfield at the moment of its creation often find their magical essence drained permanently. Familiars vanish, warlocks lose their patrons’ whispers, and magical creatures may become mundane or even die outright.... Your adventure..... To All Concerned Citizens of Eastgaurd and the surrounding Keeps, It is with great urgency that we inform you of the recent prison break at Shadowspire Penitentiary. The most dangerous criminals, once contained within its walls, now roam free. We implore all residents to remain vigilant, stay indoors after sundown, and report any suspicious activities immediately. The escaped prisoners are armed and highly dangerous. If you encounter any of them, do not engage directly. Instead, alert the nearest guard post or town authority. Your safety is our utmost concern. May the gods watch over us all in these trying times. Sincerely, Eastgaurd Council of Safety TOWN CRIERS WORDS EXTRA! EXTRA! HEED THESE WORDS, CITIZENS!" "Shadowspire Penitentiary — breached! Its black walls shattered in flame and chaos! Dangerous criminals now stalk the roads and rivers! Stay indoors! Lock your doors! Hold your loved ones close!" "Among the escaped: none other than exiled noble Jareth Blackwood, former prison warden turned traitor!" "All able-bodied citizens and bounty hunters are urged to report any sightings to the Warden’s Keep immediately!" The party has spent weeks pursuing Jareth "Shadowblade" Blackwood, the one responsible for the prison break and the current leader of The Cult of the Whispering Veil. Their investigations have carried them across dangerous roads deep into a swamp in search of an ancient temple lost to history. Through recovered journals, interrogations, and hard-earned clues, the party has learned that Jareth intends to perform a powerful ritual during the upcoming Summer Solstice. The ritual's true purpose remains unknown. Jareth has spread his influence and scars wherever he travels. Those he considers useful, capable, or simply unfortunate enough to cross his path are taken. Some willingly, most by force. Once captured, they are fitted with enchanted masks imbued with ancient shadow magic, robbing them of their free will and binding them to the Whispering Veil's cause. What awaits at the temple is still a mystery. Some within the party believe Jareth seeks to summon an ancient entity imprisoned long ago beneath the ruins. Others suspect he plans to sacrifice his followers to ascend beyond mortality himself. Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: The Summer Solstice is fast approaching, and if Jareth is not stopped before the ritual reaches its climax, the consequences may extend far beyond the borders of the swamp.

Paid game Paid game
Homebrew Homebrew
Rock and stone eh? Pick up your ax and hammer we are going Dungeon delving. The forgotten halls call to us and the lost riches even call is louder! The ancient and forgotten halls of Ku'h Buldar lay dormant for years. It's halls echo of its glory days gone past, remembered only in myth and legend. Until one faithful day a Dwarven prospector stumbled upon the ruined gate of the lost civilization. After that the rest followed, the prospectors, adventurers, settlers and thus the community grew. Guilds were created. Daily ventures became a norm. Gold, riches and some artefacts were retrieved but there were more to be found. You, a young strapping dwarf eager for glory sign up in a guild. Get assigned to a group and begin your fist decent. This game is for the dwarf enthusiast and short king lovers(but not excluding the rest). The setting is going to be a little gritty but still lighthearted at times. Will be using some homebrew rules for items, classes and species. The main species will of course be The dwarf. Gnomes are also allowed. NO TALL FOLK HERE!!!(ofc some exceptions are allowed) The structure of the game will be a kin to a rougelike dungeon delving.  As the great halls are separated in many layers. Each so called run will have a different outcome as slowly the secrets and treasures will be unveiled.  Will be discussing much more details on session zero character creation, the vibes of the setting and much more. Session 0 is free.

High Lords of Terra (5e/5.5e homebrew) (21+)

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Intro to Terra If you’re coming from Faerûn, think of Terra as a vast continent that used to feel like one big, functioning empire. A tradition of feudalism, with noble "High Lord" houses ruling over their regions. All offering allegiance to a central authority, the most powerful noble house, Arista, and crowned it's leader as the First Lord. So the Legend Goes At the dawn of this world, the Gods watched our people struggle to survive in an unforgiving world - Early settlements decimated by violent storms. Explorers slaughtered by ferocious beasts. To have a chance at survival, these benevolent Gods gifted the lands with powerful spirits. And for the inhabitants, an ability to bond with these spirits. As these lands were conquered, creatures brought over were quickly surpassed by Humans, who found they could tame and even command these spirits. For thousands of years, these settlers fought and struggled to secure as much power for themselves as possible. Anarchy, chaos, and endless bloodshed, with the most vulnerable most at risk. It was not until those wielding the most powerful elemental magic banded together that law and order was able to form. Rather than fighting each other, they spread across the lands in a uniform effort to end the violence. Forming what are now known to be the High Lords of Terra. These High Lords rallied behind the most powerful among them, First Lord of House Arista. For generations, there was peace among the world. Humans across Terra in harmony with one another and their spirit blessings, working together to build great cities, sprawling farmlands, relying on each other for protection. The Civil War starts... Nearly one hundred years ago, tragedy struck when the First Lord passed away, leaving behind two sons with competing claims to the throne. The older son, born of an illegitimate affair with the High Lady of House Kalara, vied for the throne against his younger brother, son to the First Lord's wife. The conflict immediately turned bloody amongst the High Lords. On one side stood the loyalists, supporting House Arista and the rightful heir to the throne as appointed by the King's betrothed. On the other stood the would be usurping traditionalists, who sought to uphold the laws of succession. They rallied behind House Kalara. Now, a century later, the realm remains divided, locked in a never-ending struggle for power and dominance. The loyalist houses of Teos, Retosia, and Pytion stand firm in their support of House Arista, while the traditionalist houses of Sultern, Rhodes, and Toria remain steadfast in their allegiance to House Kalara. As the conflict rages on, the fate of the realm hangs in the balance. One thing is certain - It cannot survive another century of civil war. A Forgotten Evil Stirs... While the realm is torn apart by war, a new shadow rises. Mysterious disappearances reported near the uninhabited forest. Legend of an undisturbed kingdom made of wax in it's center. Ghost stories of an ancient evil laying dormant... now waking up. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello! Looking to stretch myself and finally start a new table with a homebrew I've been putting together for a few years. Looking for players that are in a similar timezone (PST). I'm also a parent, so would be looking for evening sessions after kiddos are asleep (~7pm PST). The world's lore is loosely inspired by Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, mashed together with Faerun. Familiarity with source material is not required or expected at all. Lore will be provided on this world, and the unique elemental powers ALL characters will have access to... With this world, there will be some restrictions on the Player Characters. All playable characters at this time will be Humans. Most classes are workable, though the system really lends itself to Martials/Half-Casters. I would highly recommend using one of those. I'm not a major Rules Lawyer, big believer in Rule-of-Cool and being adaptable. Improvising and leaning into the roleplay is where the magic happens. There will challenging, purposeful combat but not a meat-grinder style of a campaign. Getting the right dynamic is very important to me, so will definitely be intentional. Would also love some diversity (both in character and out of character) at the table. If this sounds interesting, please reach back out! Would be happy to discuss further and share more info on the lore to make sure it's a good fit. Regardless, best of luck to you on finding the right table. :) Cheers, Windy

Hazecrux: Lines in the Mist

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
The Secret World of Myths Behind the Mist Awaits You All you need is an idea for an ordinary person whose life has become entangled with a myth or fictional character (Preferably one from Greek Mythos or a Videogame). After that, it will be up to you to decide what kind of legend you will become. -------------------------- Hazecrux is a modern city you won't find on any map outside its borders. It's a place where myth and legend walk beside ordinary people every day. Most will never notice. While Superheros and Magic might be real, an armored knight looks like a police officer in riot gear. A fireball might be remembered as a gas explosion. Impossible events become strange rumors before fading into comfortable explanations. The Mist protects the regulars of humanity from the impossible, rewriting memories and smoothing over the cracks in reality. But some people awaken. They become Rifts, individuals whose lives have become intertwined with ancient myths, legendary heroes, forgotten monsters, fairy tales, gods, and stories older than civilization itself. Those legends grant incredible abilities, but they are never free. Every step deeper into your myth brings greater power... and a greater risk of losing yourself to the story that chose you. Hazecrux has survived catastrophe before. Years ago, an event known only as the Calamity nearly destroyed the city. During the chaos, the mysterious Overseer evacuated thousands into vast underground shelters. Yet salvation came with tragedy. The city's greatest hero, Excelsior, returned from the dead only to become its greatest threat, slaughtering innocents before finally being defeated by a single masked luchador. The age of superheroes ended that day. In their place rose the luchadores—modern champions who protect the city where the old heroes failed. The Overseer vanished soon after. His successor, Tina Bellows, now oversees Hazecrux openly. Even ordinary citizens know her name, though few understand what she truly protects, thinking her just some unelected Governmental official. Challenging her is the charismatic Zander Tombs, a young man with ties to the criminal underworld. He argues the city deserves freedom instead of guardianship. His supporters call him a revolutionary. His critics point to his father is a man whispered to control much of Hazecrux's criminal underworld. As if that weren't enough, a colossal spaceship now hangs over the city that Zander says he controls... along with his gaggle of would be supervillians that follow him. Even the Mist refused to explain that away, letting all see it and the shuttles that descend into the streets dropping who knows what and picking up only Zander knows who. A new faction has emerge. A new part of the City has sprung up in the Barren Fields, Arcaida... the Las Vegas of Hazecrux... a place with an ecclectic feel found only in the Basho. This island on the land feels distinct as the rest of the city sits on a knife's edge. Everyone can tell the world stands on the the cusp of another turning point. And somehow... ...you've become part of the story. -------------------------- If You Join the Game, You Will Find: Character-Driven Stories Who you care about matters as much as what you can do. Friends, family, lovers, rivals, mentors, and enemies shape the story just as much as ancient powers. Relationships are the heart of the campaign. Mystery and Investigation Every legend hides another secret. Every conspiracy has another layer beneath it. The truth is buried beneath the Mist, and discovering it often raises more questions than answers. Myth Meets Modern Life Ancient gods argue over coffee. Fairy queens negotiate through corporate lawyers. Dragons own businesses. Heroes have mortgages. Legendary stories continue in the modern world, wearing contemporary faces. Meaningful Choices There are no perfect answers. Every alliance has a cost. Every victory changes someone. Your choices won't simply determine how your character grows—they will shape the future of Hazecrux itself. Identity and Transformation The greatest struggle isn't defeating monsters. It's deciding whether you remain yourself or slowly become the myth living inside you. Power always asks something in return. The question is what you're willing to give. -------------------------- The game is run using Roll20 for tabletop play and Discord for voice and video. Sessions are streamed and recorded for posterity. A microphone is required, and a camera is strongly encouraged. This is a roleplay-heavy campaign centered on mystery, investigation, relationships, and difficult choices. Combat happens, but violence is rarely the solution to the problems that matter most. The game explores mature themes and emotional subject matter, and we maintain an open-door policy so players can comfortably discuss boundaries and sensitive topics. New players are absolutely welcome. Whether you're familiar with City of Mist or completely new to the setting, we'll help you learn as you play. Characters begin as ordinary people whose lives have become touched by myth, and the campaign gradually explores what that means for them and the city around them. -------------------------- This is a mature game about mystery, mythology, identity, and the stories that define us. It asks not simply what powers you possess, but what kind of person you choose to become when legends begin writing themselves through your life. If you enjoy stories like The Dresden Files, American Gods, Percy Jackson (with a darker tone), Fables, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or Spider-Man at its most personal, you'll probably feel right at home beneath the Mist.

The region of Greyhawk is thriving. However, certain cities and towns around the Crystalmist Mountains have seen an increase in dangerous encounters terrorizing local populations. This game will incorporate your character backstory. The underlying plot will serve as a foundation, but the adventures will be up to you. Lots of roleplay and healthy amounts of combat. I am looking to run a 3-4 hour session. This will be played out of foundry VTT. All experience levels welcome. I'm in my 30s so I prefer players that are at least 20+ The start time is 9:30 AM PDT (16:30 UTC) on TUESDAY - This will start as a one-shot and level 3 characters and if all goes well will be a full campaign. - SETTING The setting is in the middle of a sand desert. Many oasis outline the area and these are heavily protected. You and the rest of your group come from one of these Oasis locations or a surrounding village. That place that you come from doesn't exist anymore because a nomadic tribe had come in and destroyed your home. They said you are a Zero now and you should be grateful that this honor was bestowed upon you, "you're part of the greater woven path." They chained you amongst a hundred others who are now pulling the front of their caravan. This caravan is built from many smaller metal carts chained and bolted together which create this larger vessel. You all pull this giant metal cart amalgamation together and have been for the past several weeks. You hear jingling amongst the cart. From the various noises and conversations you hear you could tell each cart is filled with various trinkets, resting areas, armories, treasures, and the aroma of food. That aroma you’ve been smelling everyday is not the same aroma that is fed to you by the end of the day. It is the left over slop all piled together that fills you up. It’s a luxury given to you compared to the back of the herd who pulls the caravan and who are more likely than not living corpses, they don’t eat. Eventually you presume that will be you, but luckily that isn’t you now. For the short lives you’ve known in this tribe, you’ve never heard of anyone being demoted to a Zero. That is until today. A man dressed in white silk clothes is lashed, stripped of his adornments, and chained next to you. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all really, the only noise he commits to are words he mutters as his judges fix the riggings, “Aasteri will be displeased to what you are doing today.” - either dm or reply below the following info. If you get ahold of me on discord let me know your groupfinder username so I can easily know if I've talked to you on this site >>> discord: junka111 Name/Nickname: Age: Experience: Basic character idea: (Name, Age, Race, Class (Subclass if you already know), background, personality) Feel free to link a photo if you like. Hey Everyone!  Me and my group are currently looking for a Dm and Players to join our discord server for a long standing Campaign if possible! We are newer to D&D so we hope to find people that don't mind joining us! We want to create a community of 10+ people to run multiple campaigns later on, as of right now there are 6 members in our discord server so we hope to create a fun and engaging community where everyone can interact and have fun together! We are against paid sessions and believe everyone should be welcomed to join and just have fun in the community  Ideally we'd like to have 1 session a week and we can work out those details later but if we need to run 1 session every other week that's also ok!  For possible players We are a new community in discord so we want to make it a positive experience for everyone and have a much fun as possible! Backgrounds or other personal details don't really matter to us we want to be a open community and have a safe space for everyone to engage and just escape day to day grind life gives us and roll that NAT 20 to seduce the dragon (if that's what you're into 😂) but we also hope to just add more people and grow as a community and build relationships that will last a life time!  So if this is something you're interested in send me a message here or on Discord and I'd love to chat with you! Eye of the Dunes: A rumor glides on the wind throughout Faerun, from the high courts to the damp alleyways. Kings and orphans alike whisper of the Eye of the Dunes, a wondrous mote of magic said to be able to grant its claimant any wish they desire. It lies sleeping somewhere deep, deep in the deserts of Calimshan, untouched under centuries of blowing winds, for we would surely know if someone had found it. You have banded together with a few other adventurers to brave the sands, an uneasy alliance at best, as in the end only one of you can wield the Eye. There's a lead in the capital city of Calimport, a café owner claims to know something the general populace doesn't, so you've set sail on an overcrowded galleon. You are not the first to try, but perhaps you will be the last.     We play on Foundry (veeery fancy) in a discord call     The campaign is set at a higher level, 8-10, and will last 3-5 session     We'd prefer players around our own age (20 - 34)     We love messing around and making jokes, but we do try to actually tell a story and often roleplay seriously with emotion. I try to be descriptive!     I am from Sweden and my friend is Australian (though a real night-owl), so we can't really play after 19:00 GMT+2     I won't tolerate NASTY behavior, you know, let's have a Good Time, Owl City & Carly Rae Jepson-style     No AI, come on, what are we doing here? About you: Please send us a message telling us about yourself! Stuff like where you're from, what kind of person you'd describe yourself as, your hobbies and so on. To make sure we don't invite EVIL people we need to know who you are, so share as much as you feel comfortable with. Trust me we'll read every word! We'd love to stay in touch and play games once the campaign is done, but no pressure! Thank you for reading, hope to hear from you :) (P.S: happy to share stuff about ourselves too if you have questions!)

Long-term, ongoing, high fantasy campaign. Long-term as in many years. 4 players and a DM(me) can seat up to two more.  Tons of lore in a campaign world that I have been running games in for almost 40 years.  ALL folks, 18+, welcome as we are three guys and two gals that range widely in age, from 53(me) to 18. We are very casual with roughly 30% RP, 30% combat, 20% exploration, and 20% BS, and chatting. Poker night atmosphere. We play weekly on Saturday from 8ish until 2am at my home in Belmont, East Dayton.

Osu! I'm Loke! I'm an amateur desginer and TTRPG aficionado trying to develop a Battle Manga TTRPG based on Dragon Ball, with plans to expand on the future. I'm in need of people to help me bounce ideas and playtest them! All levels of experience are welcomed! Game Features: - Dice Pool & Success ("Hit") Based [1d6 => 4 = 1 Hit] - Trait System. They establish facts and modify rolls by adding or subtracting Hits - Dynamic Action Resolution. Action resolution is divided into 4 Phases or Acts, simulating the Ki-Sho-Ten-Ketsu storytelling frame of asian literature and the paneling of a manga page - Adventure, Battle & Train. The game will be divided in three "play modes" to better simulate the different types of events and activities our heroes have to overcome in the manga, and how they progress and evolve as fighters. A ragtag band of locals find themselves embroiled in a strange adventure involving an unhinged warforged, a psychotic docent, and a plot seemingly involving a nefarious branch of House Cannith. One of those you've been roped in with attached the docent to himself and now hears voices, but has started displaying extra abilities. Your mentor, the unhinged warforged named Trace 7, has disappeared, but she left you with a mission to find a way into a secret facility in the underbelly of Sharn to discover the secrets of this organization. Can you find your way in and discover what House Cannith is up to? This game uses the Pathfinder for Savage Worlds Ruleset and Kristian Serrano's Eberron for Savage Worlds adaptation hosted on the Fantasy Grounds VTT, which is now free to play. All resources will be supplied upon acceptance. This is an ongoing campaign with five players currently. I'll accept up to one more. We play on the last Sunday of the month at 18:00 Eastern Time (Currently UTC-4).

Just getting a group together! I am in desperate need of a dm/gm, and preferably if they're around the age range 14-19 because I find I am not eager to have a dm that's in their 20s (I am between the age range of 15-17 myself). Anyone in the range I listed is 100% allowed to join, anyone above or below said range will be met with skepticism, though welcomed in either way.

Welcome to The Western Frontier, adventurer! You've joined the best of the best here at SINC, CA! Saints of Interplanar Navigational Charters, Chalmers Acolytes. I'll be your Operations Overseer, Mr. Sullivan. We're on the fringe of the Imperium's reach here in Port Chalmers, so while you may be wanted or otherwise watched back home, here I don't care what your crimes were - Only that you do the job you've signed up for. And that job is to explore, document, make connections with the locals, and get into places you probably shouldn't be! Danger? Adventure? Relics, artifacts and ruins?? Strange beasts and plants?? Oh, it's out there, adventurer.. And the longer you wait, the more you miss out on! --------- The Setting: - The Western Frontier is a West Marches style of D&D! - We are largely based in Australia/NZ, and as such we play at times convenient for us! - We have somewhere between 13-16 active players, most have two currently active PC's! - Our experience with this style of D&D and with D&D as a whole varies! - Session scheduling and game direction is driven largely by players! This is an open world sandbox style of game! Game Info: - We use variant rules long/short resting. Short rests are now 8 hours (overnight), long rests take a week of downtime back in The Town, or another fortified position. (Settlements, Inns, camps - places with structures for you to sleep in and an armed guard/watch). - Resources matter! Spell components, ammo, carry weight, and rations are all tracked! Character Creation: - No twilight cleric and no variant humans. All PC's begin with a free feat and a non-combat uncommon item. - We use Discord for voice/text chat, Owlbear Rodeo for battle maps, & D&D Beyond/google sheets for character sheets. - Homebrew must be approved by a GM. Players: - 18+ people only! Firm on this, sorry gang! We range in age from about 19 to the late thirties! - LGBT+ folk expressly welcome! - No bigots, -ias or -isms, thank you! - All experience levels welcome, we're learning to run and play this style of game too, so we don't mind teaching you on the way! - Interested? Might be the game for you? Get in touch! Message me with: - A little about you! *Age, exp with d&d, timezone and typical times/days you'd play at/during (scheduling reasons) - A rough character idea! - Things you think you'd be interested in doing as a player! - Your discord username! - Times and days that'd work for you for a quick call so that we can vibe check each other!

Got a group you have been a forever DM for? Want to step back into the roll of a player? Bring your players and yourself over - let me take over the heavy lifting and join in a long term epic campaign... and take notes for me :) System: PF2e Slots: 3-4 (ideally I would join YOUR group that just needs a DM and has played together for a long time already and just want a new DM) Requirements: 25+ age, no PF2e experience required, but you should have TTRPG experience to know what kind of player you are and what you enjoy (I don't mind new players, I just want more of actors and you won't know what you are until you play) Time and Frequency: weekly (evenings, I am CST), Sunday nights ideally Platforms: Discord and Foundry Details: Come explore and experience the world of Aurelia - an epic fantasy world and story broken up into 4 stand alone seasons, ultimately taking you from level 1 to level 20 over the course of several years (each season is ~6 levels and takes 6-12 months). The campaign(s) are epic in the lord of the rings style with world-ending consequences and grand quest lines. Serious tones on the table with fun above table. Somewhere between low and high magic (there are not floating cities). Homebrew world / monsters / items / story - but the player species, classes, feats, etc are all standard by the books.  I have a full handbook detailing the world for those interested. Campaigns have been ran around 6 times now with different players... so you are not the first to play through it. Hundreds of scenes, probably thousands of NPCs, and even detailed maps for you to drool over. We have built this over a decade of games and play. I value Actors (role-players) at the table, although the campaign is probably a 60/40 RP/combat split... serious on the table characters with fun above table.  For myself, I am a story-first DM who believes in the rule of cool and leaning into characters and their backstories. Every party that has ran these campaigns has experienced it differently - sometimes with different BBEGs due to how things played.  That story is the fun. DM me for more information if this sounds like what your group wants and is looking for. This will be the 7th party to go through this campaign.

The Schumann Perversion

Homebrew Homebrew

Utopia has been unlocked by the power of lightning.  Harnessing the secrets of the Schumann Resonances, the Earth’s heartbeat, has ignited a new technological revolution. Profit margins keep trending higher. Productivity is expanding faster than ever before. People are living longer, better lives. Some even develop abilities believed lost to myth.  But all the positivity is just a pacemaker hiding the arrhythmia.  Look past the neon. Beyond the new tech & “progress,” the truth is grimmer. People are struggling. Most can’t raise their social score enough to get even basic housing. Unless you want to work for the mega corporation, the Grimaldi Group, jobs are rare. No one in charge is tackling the freakish illnesses people suffer -- glitches some believe are tied to the perversion of the Earth’s heartbeat.  If the status quo maintains a steady enough pulse, those in power don’t have to act. Unanswered questions keep coming. Problems are compounding. If leaders won’t administer the shock, someone else will have to do it. Why not you? The Schumann Perversion blends cyberpunk, conspiracy, and the high strange. Expect virtual reality, doomsday cults, and voices from the superspectrum. High-octane action, covert investigations, and irrational phenomena await as you excise the conspiracy. If you want to be the system jolt, contact me.

Quick Info: LGBTQ+ friendly. POC friendly. (Seriously, want more poc/women/queer/etc players! Not only white men!) Capitalist unfriendly. No bigotry. No sexual violence. 25+ only. 30+ preferred. Hope to play every other week. Looking to start up in a couple months, after getting a group and some backstories going. System: MSH/Advanced FASERIP with homebrew. Points Buy character creation. Some powers disallowed. Interest Form: https://forms.gle/PZijF6Uiw2ptTXBGA Session Structure: Sessions – Get into a fight, foil a villain’s plot, a smattering of interpersonal drama. The meat and potatoes. This is when you punch a living bulldozer through a building. In-Between sessions – Play by post to forward more of the interpersonal stories, background stories, investigations, and other plot threads not covered in sessions. Feel free to engage with this as much or as little as you wish. Will begin with one-shots. Over time plot threads will naturally weave themselves in and out, forming stories, similar to how comics of the era were written. Heroes may encounter people and situations from their past. Villains may return for revenge, group together for more dangerous plans, etc. Setting: The year is 1984, as envisioned by the 1960s. Technology is retro-futuristic. Many modern devices do not exist. Many older devices exist in more advanced fashions. The internet is for hacker nerds and government organizations. Cell phones are not available. Pay phones are widely available, and are generally video phones. Young adults/teenagers lean towards being hipsters, beatniks, freakers, hippies. There are still a good amount of squares. Middle aged + are mostly squares. The elderly are Great War vets. Cities and countries are all fictional, though based on real world places. The colonization of the West was far less brutal and ugly. There is still a Cold War with Communist powers. The police force does not exist. Instead, they are replaced by Safety Officers; Trained for de-escalation. Not particularly inclined to violence. They still have a Detective Bureau, Riot Squad, and small Mech Squad. Guns that shoot bullets were banned after the Great War. Instead, stun pistols are common. Knock people out and leave them with a groggy headache. Murders still happen, through other methods. There are still obvious rich/poor social divides, but racism/sexism/homophobia/etc is not nearly as prevalent. The one exception is mutants. Society shuns mutated humans to varying degrees. Inspiration: ‘60s Doom Patrol. Morrison Doom Patrol / Animal Man. ‘70s Defenders. ‘80s Suicide Squad. Power Man & Iron Fist. Copra. The Jam. Madman. The Maxx. Venture Bros season 6. Goofy hold overs from the Silver Age meets a newfangled “gritty realism.” Morals are becoming more grey. Tongue-in-cheek play meets serious characters. Characters: C-List street-level supers in a mid-sized city. Dramatic personal lives. Classic costumes. You come up with your basic character concept, and we will work together to flesh it out and fit the character into the world. Details will be broad at first, with more specifics emerging during the course of the game. Examples: Techno-barbarian from a Kirby-stlyed future fantasy world after the fall and rebirth of man. Reincarnated Moon Princess from the dead ancient culture on the moon. Famous b-movie actor/model turned super spy and master of disguise. Unhoused person who fell asleep in the wrong alley. Celebrity fitness instructor and motivational speaker.

Magic was once a divine harmony that held reality together—structured, stable, and unquestioned. That harmony broke. Now the world is unstable in subtle but growing ways: spells behave unpredictably, memories don’t always align, and entire regions of the world shift as if reality itself is improvising. In response, powerful factions race to understand what caused the collapse. Some seek to restore order. Others believe the fracture is evolution. And some want to push the world past its breaking point entirely. Amid this growing instability, a group of adventurers from different walks of life finds themselves drawn into the same pattern of anomalies—each one touched in a personal way by the unraveling of magic. There is no chosen hero, no singular destiny. Only a shared truth beginning to emerge: Something is composing reality again… and the world is being rewritten one note at a time. Whether the party becomes its correction, its disruption, or its final silence is entirely up to them. I’m aiming to host the game from friday the 17th 4:00–7:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (Lexington, KY), which is 8:00–11:00 p.m. GMT for anyone joining from outside the U.S. 🌍 Trying to land in that window so folks across time zones can hop in comfortably—hope to see you there! 🎲
