So I'm a completely new DM, I've never done this before. I was/am making a sci-fi D&D campaign and i wanna test run it! It has 10 sessions in-total (not counting session 0) I don't really know how long these sessions will take as I've never DM'ed before... 40% of combat is 5E, 60% of combat is homebrew It has quite a few homebrew elements most notable being: A ship customizable with module's that effect its stats. Some monsters thats it i think Oh and this campaign isn't the most serious thing but there are some moments you need to lock in. And there are some roles that me and my friend made, so you can think of what you wanna do (at the bottom) Idk where i need to put the world backstory so ima dump it here: (Ik it isn't much but i'll incorperate your backstory into here as best i can) Nagartah (neptune-ish planet) A quiet ice/water giant, nothing special happens here. It has a history of being invaded, but the invaders often quickly leave after seeing there is nothing of value here, or at least thats what they think. There are some gaint Lithium vains that are of significant value, and propels the very few civilizations that live here to incredible tech levels. Thats also why most cyborgs are from here. Jaguda (juipiter-ish planet) There's not much to say about Jaguda, all there is that giant space station that quite an amount of people live on but thats just it Urath (earth-ish planet) A planet with a huge history, I'd rather not go into all the war-crimes that happened during the countless wars that happened here... But it is the most basic planet so idk Luna (Moon-ish Moon) Its a fu##### moon, what do you want me to write about this place? Only real thing is that there is a treaty to not touch/land/do nything on this planet to preserve its natural beauty? Okay the Urath goverment must be on some Star-high dust like B#### WHAT DO YOU MEAN NATURAL BEAUTY THERE'S NOTHING Idra (-ish Planet) Idra is an extremely cold place that is any miners dream, many ores, soft rock, and big caves! But the surface it pretty much un-livable due to the -120 degree C0 winds. Except a giant group of penguins don't agree with this basic common thought and made a civilization here. While they may have a giant fleet, penguins are clumsy yk? Avonria (-ish Moon) On of the 2 big population centers, while the majority of the population might be in EXTREME poverty. The higher-ups and government are insanely rich and posses the strongest ship known to the universe! One half of the planet is a gaint dessert, and the other one an overrun city. And don't worry, the elites are high above in their space station! Dawntor (-ish Moon) Not a big moon with alot of people, but it is the most uniqe! As this is one of the few places where magic is a normal thing, most people that see this are baffeld and suprised that that is real! So ships/parts from here are often interwoven with magic and this planet is the only way to get shields on a ship. And no I see you reading this, if your born on this plant you automtically get magic skills, even without learning! But for others its quite hard, but possible! Especially when they've spent some time on the planet it-self. Experts say this comes from 3 pillars, but come on, who believes them? Hello fellow and mighty adventurers! Let me tell you my story I am a 26M native from France, and an amateur GM (1 year of experience), and I started not so long ago my own party of TTRPG in english since I got lot more time to consacre to it. Brief Description of setting: General vibe has fun daftness of a mostly at sea adventure set in a high fantasy homebrew world with some modest Lovecraftian cosmic horror aspects on serious story details while also taking some mild inspiration from Ebberon, and various comic/anime nods. Setting is based in a world with odd occurrences of rifts to various planes, usually dangerous but somewhat controlled in parts. It is a more exotic race/species friendly world, so not human or preferably not human-esk or commonly used fitting in types. In its origin and in the present some of the average in power common races would be Dragonborn, Drow, Varied Genasi, Tiefling of many coloration and minor mix, Goblinoids, Kobold, and various more animal related folk. I do play in some personalised design flavour with such eg: an aarakocra may be designed to be like a bluejay, robin or cardinal. Other bigger world history topics enlightening more to the lack of human populace, cosmic phenomenon and certain hostilities/indifferences between other types of species can be discussed. I try to make good use of character backgrounds and their species connections to world to fuel story, adding and altering as things evolve. On going Party: Water Genasi Warlock- making up for Deep sea cultist history. Kalashtar (Differently designed in origin via other species mix) Blood hunter - dealing with corrupted memory and past related to kidnapping. Fairy Bard - consciousness escaped from a variant of the deck of many Void card and found her body remains minimal in a clockwork toy. Story in motion: The group of female adventurers began on the docks of a central city of my own homebrew world with former players who each had life causes need for taking leave though still their characters are regarded as npc in story. The group has since made their way on seas with strange encounters and new understandings of phenomena linking them. When venturing on the ocean floor after backstory relevant face offs and timeline altering's the group gradually bonded further before having to take on a mission off world in aid of a friend's plight. When the game is:  Fortnightly Sunday eves 5 till 10, start and end is likely a bit in ways of player chatter and ease on to timing of game if we get straight in may end early at time, but either way we usually have mini break. Time/Country: Due to prior difficulty I'd prefer players to be located for 5pm-10pm GMT. Rule/Play Style: High magic with mild steampunk pirate stuff but mainly Fantasy Horror vibes, RP and combat 60/40. Chunks of story can be capable of leaning the odd bit to one more than other. Hombrewy/RuleOfCool-we have homebrew rules with things like exhaustion and crits damage and attunement slots, nothing unlikely to be all too unheard of but primarily we aim for character story lead rulings for well formed character design and in play character related ideas. Hello! We are a tight-knit group of 6 very experienced D&D Players who are looking for a DM to run the module Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen! We are wanting to play on Thursdays from 3pm-7pm CDT (GMT-5). There may be some wiggle room but we are pretty set on this as its the consensus that had been reached for 6 people, a feat already hard enough as it is. Something has gone wrong: dragons have stopped judging, and the ancient rite is failing. The players are sent to find the Hall and recover a relic called “The Heart of the First Flame”—a living piece of divine power that originally bound dragons and humans together. The twist: the Hall isn’t just lost—it moves deep within the earth—and the relic may reveal that the Krythari have become too stable… and no longer worthy. Hello everyone! My name is Beau, I'm 27, FtM, and use he/they pronouns. I'm looking to run a homebrew DND5E campaign in person for 5-6 players. I am more than okay with new players and happy to teach what I know, since I’ve been playing for almost ten years now! I've been a DM before and used the same campaign setting; I loved it but never got to finish due to scheduling issues.  What I’m looking for: 5-6 players, LGBTQ friendly is a MUST (you don’t need to be in the community, just an ally), 21 years or older, any skill level, any gender. Homebrew races and classes are allowed so long as they’re run by me first. We will be starting at level 5, multiclassing is allowed! Location/Time: Phoenix, AZ. Will be held at Gamer’s Guild in the Phoenix location every other Saturday, time TBD but in the afternoon/evening. No-Gos: Under 18 years old are absolutely not permitted. Between 18 and 21 may be considered based on needs and comfort of the group, but it makes me personally uncomfortable because of the age gap.  -Any harassment of or fighting out of character with other players will be grounds for removal.  -Consent is key - Flirting in character is fine, so long as everyone is comfortable with it. No means no. Adult, questionable, and/or steamy scenes will fade to black at the table, but outside roleplay is welcome between players. -Due to a deeply ingrained piece of lore and several plot lines, players are restricted from playing any Underdark races. The Setting: high fantasy, high magic world with multiple developed countries/nations including their own lore, laws, and demographics. Much of this campaign will take place in a region that’s been heavily magically altered and even corrupted. Though most regions are a melting pot of all races, many originate from one location or another, so the race you play may determine where your character was born or where they have family. Legends say that there used to be dragons just roaming about, living peacefully amongst mortal races, seen flying overhead on the daily. But for around 500 years, true dragon sightings have been a rarity, and only the golden dragon has been spotted in that time. The Plot: For as long as even the eldest elves can remember, Ipica has been split into three regions, each stuck in a separate time and space. And for just as long, scholars have tracked the slow creep of corruption twisting the eastern shores of the land. There’s historical writings of something called the World Tree hidden deep within Eastern Ipica - could it be involved somehow? Now that the crawling, strangling vines and chilling shadows have reached the edges of major and minor cities alike, local and national governments have decided that something needs to be done about it. But legislators aren’t equipped to run into what used to be wild fae land and is now something much more confusing and unknown - that’s where our adventurers come in. Trekking through bone-chilling lands populated by things seen just out of the corner of your eye, fighting previously unimagined horrors and keeping each other alive in the dark winter of Eastern Ipica… It all takes incredible skill and trust in your fellow man. But how can you trust anyone when you’ve seen what these wilds are capable of producing? We are an old school group. Were doing ftf, but started online of late with players getting spread out. Currently play every other Sunday 10-2 CST but are somewhat flexible. Looking for up to three new players. I use mostly Core with APG, UM, UC, UCG, UE, about two thirds of the Golarion splats and a few others that I own. General rule is if I own it I will consider it as a source. I have Herolab and try and put all characters in it. I have most of the older sources.  I do not use Unchained. We tried it, didn't like it as a group. And yes you can play a decent rogue without it:) I and my wife can anyway. She often is the rogue of the group. I am currently running the Blight by Frog God Games. It is sort of Steampunk without steampunk items if that makes any sense. The setting is there, but the items are magic, undead or alchemical. It is largely a city based setting. A city of 3 million people but there will be some wilderness and dungeon subplots. Everyone is currently 2nd level with little as far as equipment.

One second ago, the town church burst into flames in the middle of service. No one knows if this is a regular old demonic possession or if there's something more sinister at hand, but one thing is for sure... No one is safe tonight. Character Options Prudence: A pious 18yo single girl. She has straight strands of straw colored hair, a pale complexion, and eyes the color of the sun at dawn. Having been raised in Raptio all her life, she's dying to get out and see the world she's read about in her books and scriptures. Joseph: A hardworking 24yo single man. He has brown auburn tufts of hair, a strong, tanned body, and eyes like the midday sky. He was born and raised in Raptio Peak and dreams to someday see his grandchildren running along the plains of green grass he planted and tended. Nike: A determined 53yo divorced woman. She has loose strands of salt and pepper hair, a toned, fit figure for her age, and eyes cold and black as the ocean. She has explored the better half of the Midwest and has decided to settle down here. She says it's because she can see the sunrise from where she lives. Winchester: An easygoing 40yo businessman. With a gleaming bald scalp, a rotund body, and a tiny, beady eyes, he's looks like a very stereotypical wealthy man. He's on a business trip and decided to stop in this town for the night, the night before the train broke down. Hi everyone! I'm a DM with only around six months of experience DMing in person games for my friends and about two years experience of playing. I've basically fallen in love with the game and to this end want to keep practising and improving my DM skills. I'm currently running Curse of Strahd in person, so I'm not COMPLETELY new to it and am confident with the right group of people it'll be awesome. It will be heavy gothic horror with emphasis on roleplay, intense decisions and deep character progression. That's not to say there won't be gritty and unforgiving combat, of course (bring backup characters). Definitely leaning towards gritty, almost survival-like (without being tedious), slow-burn game. We'd use discord and foundry vtt, I have loads of awesome maps and artwork for this module so I think it'll be fun to put it to good use for some lovely players. Hi there! I'm a DM with over 15 years of experience with various systems covering most genres and including officially published games and homemade systems. In the past few months I've rediscovered my love for the Battletech universe and would like to run a game in said universe. I will list as many details as I can. The year is 3035 and the party are members of a very down on their luck mercenary company. After a botched contract given to them by House Kurita, the company's commander is MIA and down to minimal resources, meaning a couple Leopards, two barely functional Lances of Mechs, and about 50 personnel. With each passing week handfuls of Mercs once dedicated to the company are scalped by other companies or agents of the Houses of the Inner Sphere. The party consists of those unwilling to give up hope and those who wish to see the Company rise in status, all while kicking ass, taking names, and drinking gin. The Details The game will be run every other Wednesday starting in mid/late April, most likely from 7pm-11pm EST. The game will use Discord for the majority of communication, though I am still figuring out what I want to use for gameplay. Either Foundry or a tool most suitable for BT. The systems used will be Mechwarrior 2e for ground level gameplay and classic battletech for everything else. I am looking for 4 players for this campaign which will feature equal amounts of mature roleplay and crunchy combat. Expect humor, banter, and heartfelt moments as well. It can't always be warcrimes all the time. Players will most likely be in control of 2-4 characters possibly including two mechwarriors and two support staff or other members of the Merc band. LMoP game set to run weekly at Friday 7pm CST (Saturday noon AEDT for me). We've got a couple of interested players already. At least one is new to the hobby so we'll plan to stick close to the AP and keep the splatbooks holstered for character generation. Hello everyone! We are a group of four looking for a DM for a new campaign. We have been playing D&D together for about four years at this point and would like to start up a second campaign as one of the campaigns we are in together recently ended. We would like the campaign to be weekly, preferably on the weekend at a set time (we usually have campaigns around 6 PM CET), but we are usually flexible when it comes to sessions if life happens and the session needs to be rescheduled. As for the campaign it is really up to you as the DM. The only wishes we have are the following: we want to play D&D 5E 2024, and not an evil campaign. We would also prefer a more traditional D&D setting, either set in Faerun or a world similar to it. A homebrew world is completely fine. We would like to start the campaign at a low level (ideally level 3) and keep playing until we reach higher levels of play. We would prefer the campaign to have a story and a common goal, so not like a directionless sandbox campaign. We tend to follow the threads you lay out as a DM, meaning we do not usually decide to do something completely different than what you have prepared as a DM. As for more personal requirements: - we would like you to be at least 25 years old - somewhat experienced in DMing - fluent in English - at a stable enough point in your life where you could see yourself DMing a long campaign consistently As for us - we are all from different nationalities so where you are from does not matter. All of us are male and we are all adults (we do not care if you are male or female). We can also be a bit blunt at times, but that being said we all have thick skin and are not easily offended. We have no problem discussing any points of tension without being upset! We tend to like to play things by the rules, but homebrew rules are fine as long as they have been established before being applied. We like all aspects of D&D - roleplaying, combat, exploration and so on. We tend to know our characters very well, both from a mechanical and roleplay point of view. This is a campaign where you basically get to adventure through the world that my mind imagines and you influence. It's a darker setting with lots of psychological horror elements and without any real objective to achieve.  It’s what I’d see as a classic dnd world. A medieval-esque world with magic. The main idea about the world is that chaos is growing, darkness is spreading and the world is corrupted and continues to grow darker and more dangerous. This is due to Bane (the god of darkness) and his followers wishing to draw the whole realm into the dark grip of Bane. While this is happening Bhaal and Myrkul (the 2 other in the dead 3, god of murder and lord of bones) will become jealous and also start influencing the realm and driving to empower themselves. Bane’s most important followers have gained the ability to steal the souls of lower mortals to transform themselves into demons and monsters of the fiendish variety (Bane is a fiendish god from what I could find) The characters I’ve had so far have had sad backstories, but tbh, I give everyone the freedom to do as they choose. I’m creating homebrew items and maps for the campaign as well! The players will be free to do whatever they choose in the world with me putting my heart and soul into creating as fun and adventurous encounters and experiences. The campaign has technically started, but players often disappear due to scheduling conflicts and such. And not much has happened so far. Everyone is welcome, no matter age, experience, gender or whatever other factors could be seen as excluding.  Right now I only have 1 confirmed player left, with maybe 1 or 2 joining within a couple of weeks. The setting will take place in a Elven kingdom that is located on the continent where all my other campaigns are located so the events of this place will directly interact with other aspects of the world.
