Combat focused Combat focused
Step into the Forgotten Realms and explore the wilds of the Sword Coast in a campaign built around freedom, discovery, and player choice. This is a true "Super-Sandbox" adventure that seamlessly weaves together the stories of 'Phandelver and Below' and 'Dragon of Icespire Peak' into one massive, living world. The game focuses on smart problem-solving, teamwork, and character-driven storytelling. In this version of the Sword Coast, combat carries cinematic weight; we utilize Lingering Injuries and Exhaustion mechanics to ensure that every victory feels hard-earned and every battle leaves a mark on your character's legend. Whether you are navigating the political factions of Phandalin or surviving the harsh mountain peaks, your choices shape the world naturally over time. This campaign is designed to be welcoming to newer players while still offering the mechanical depth and challenge that veterans crave. Rules are taught as needed through play, and your character’s backstory will be deeply woven into the mystery of the Shattered Obelisk and the threat of the dragon Cryovain. Gather your gear, trust your companions, and answer the call of adventure. The Sword Coast is dangerous, mysterious, and full of opportunity. How far your story goes is up to you! Game Details: Session length: 3 hours, with possible extension up to 30 minutes. Gametime: Saturdays - 4:00 PM GMT+2 Platforms: Roll20, Discord, DnDBeyond Players: Open to adults of all experience levels Pricing: 20 USD per session via Startplaying.games Session 0 and Session 1 are FREE What you are paying for: - The work I put into my campaigns. I invest in additional maps, resources, and adapt the story when needed to ensure a memorable experience - Dedicated players with a certain level of maturity. A paid table helps avoid no shows and builds a committed group that aims to complete the campaign - Full access to DnDBeyond content - High quality maps from talented Patreon creators such as DM Andy, Czepeku, Mad Cartographer and more If you are interested and want to see more about my playstyle and information about the game, check this link: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmouafmy1008vii045ay9o9wv

Hi everyone! As the title of this post says we are a couple of Players looking for a DM who'd be interested in running Curse of Strahd for us. Currently we are four Players (ages 19 to 25) who simply love this silly little game and especially the CoS module. All of us have D&D experience with two of us having experience with Curse of Strahd as well. Our timezones are a bit of a mix (GMT+2/+3 and EDT) but Sunday evenings GMT should work great for us. We would also be open to discussing other days/times to play at if needed. All in all, we are all roleplay oriented players who love interacting with the setting and characters around them. We welcome and are happy with homebrew additions and even though the tag says 5e we would be happy to try 5.5e out as well!  If this sounds like fun to you or you'd like to join our little group just let me know either on here or on discord! Discord: periwnkleblue

We need a DM for Pirate Things

[5e 2014 or 2024/mixed Dm's choice] Aloha, fellas! We're a group of 5 players looking for a DM for a campaign for pirate adventures!  We prefer a lighter, high-fantasy tone, with enough character focus for deep emotional moments and development like you might find within One Piece, Treasure Planet, or even Peter Pan. We're hoping to maintain ourselves as a smaller crew, as is done within the forms of media mentioned above, slowly growing a bit larger over time as we explore and upgrade our ship. We'd be playing on Fridays, 7:30pm EST We're looking for a Roleplay-focused adventure. Our desired split is roughly 40% Roleplay, 30% Combat, and 30% Exploration. We've got an idea of what role each person wants to be good at. 1. Is looking to fill the Surgeon role while maintaining their combat capacity as a Sniper(Kinda like a reverse Chopper in my opinion) 2. Is looking to help take care of the boat while fulfilling their role as a Chef. 3. Is deadset on being the ship's Musician. 4. A player who is new to D&D is looking forward to being a Shipwright. 5. Is me. I am looking forward to being a capable Navigator who has managed to wrangle the Captain position. As you can see, we have many roles left to be filled by various NPCs, including the Navigator position. We can't wait to hear all the ideas had by the folks who hit us up here!

grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...

One thousand years in the future, all civilizations crumble after a new monster takes over the world. They don't hunt like normal animals or monsters. They hunt tactically. They set traps, lure in their prey by using familiar sounds and always stick together. The only time they ever separate is when they know the prey is an easy kill or if they believe it. (These monsters have no name rn cause so far it's js an idea with one play and dm). The players are the last remaining hunters of these monsters. Everyone else either died trying to help end them or they quit not willing to lose their lives.  If interested you can contact me here but preferably on discord, user:masterofmimics1, as I check it more often than here.

ABOUT: This adventure takes place in the Sansinukob Wildspace. This system has 13 planets, held together by a dead and forgotten god at the center. There are no suns here, only moons to illuminate every planet. Fifty years ago, a monstrous sea serpent named Bakunawa awakened from her slumber, consumed by endless hunger. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. They will stop at nothing to consume all sources of moonlight, and will hurt and kill anything and anyone that gets in the way. Datu Maximo has called for help from all adventurers willing to listen. Assist him in installing these lights wherever he can, so he can save his people from being plunged into darkness again. Hellow and Welcome! My name is Riley (He/Him), and my girlfriend and I have moved to Marietta, GA and we'd like to get an in-person game going, weekly, if possible. We'd be happy to run a persistant campaign or campaigns using Dungeons & Dragons 5th Eddition, D&D 5.5th Edition, Draw Steel, or another system entirely if people are interested. I have more than a decade of DM experience, and my hope is to get a small group together in person to run a custom capaign for us. I've helped new players learn TTRPG systems before, and there's nothing I like more than helping others get invested in the story and world of our campaign.  It would be up to the group what kind of game and setting we run in. I've comfortably run Heroic Fantasy, Dark Fanatasy, Sword and Sorcery, Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Space Opera, Post-Apocalyptic, and Urban Fantasy before, so whatever kind of world and story we''d like to persue, I'm sure I can oblige. As an added perk we have a proper tabletop gaming table for us to play at, cupholders and all! The only cost accociated with the game would be that everyone would be asked to bring some snackes and/or drinks for the table. If you're situated anywhere within driving distance of Marietta, GA, we'd love to have you over for decent snacks & beer, better games, and even better memories!

A campaign for players of all level of experience. If you enjoy a long term campaign that's heavy role-playing with combat that's pirate themed, then come join the adventure  ☠️ The Devil’s Island ☠️ Gold has a way of finding the desperate… and the foolish. You were both. Seven thousand platinum. Split between strangers. All for a simple job-no blood, no risk, just a staged heist in one of the most luxurious taverns you’ve ever set foot in. Steal a ruby, outplay the competition, walk away richer than you’ve ever dreamed. Easy. It was supposed to be easy. But somewhere between the laughter, the wagers, and the clink of fine glasses… something changed. The other crews never made it back. Their ships were found broken-dragged beneath black waves, crews drowned, cargo lost to the deep. And somehow… every whisper, every accusation, every scrap of evidence points to you. Now you’re not competitors. You’re fugitives. To clear your names, you’ll need to do the unthinkable-steal a ship, outrun the law, and chase the truth across unforgiving seas. But the deeper you dig, the worse it gets. There are rumours. Of an artifact called the veilbreaker, stolen the same night as the ruby. Of storms that rise without warning, swallowing fleets whole. Of the dead… refusing to stay buried. Out on the open sea, it isn’t just pirates hunting you. The ocean remembers. And something beneath the waves wants you dead. About the Campaign: A seafaring module. It is an anthology of several different stories, all nautical and sea themed. Originally made to be a series of oneshots, I turn them into a single narrative, combining the plot into a single thing ! Expect ship combat, ship travel and good old sea shanties, all the while exploring what haunts the village of Saltmarsh. About time: I have sessions run at least 3 hours About DM : I am an experienced DM of 5 years making a new campaign open for new players to join. I'll be happy to teach and explain anything about Dnd. I am happy to accommodate any type of player, as long as they are not disruptive and are not causing issues for me or any other players. I tend to do more RP then Combat, so expect about a 60/40 split, if not 70/30. About cost: I ask for 15 USD payment at least 24 hour before the session. Refund will be made with reasonable situations as well as refunded at the end of session if you're not willing to continue. About character creation: Lvl 1, per the module's rules Stat will be rolled with a minimum of 70. Time is set to Mondays 7 PM EST

You wash ashore in Seabrooke a coastal village that is literally sinking into the sea. Homes are half-submerged. The docks are rotting. People are disappearing. The poor are being “relocated” by order of Lord Darius Therin, the noble who controls the wealthy quarter above the flooding streets. The guards say it’s for their own safety. It isn’t. There’s something spreading through Seabrooke. People call it the Rot. No one agrees on what it is a plague, curse, or something far older. But it’s changing people. And Lord Therin knows more than he’s letting on. This campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms and leans heavily into eldritch horror, political tension, and slow building dread. ▪︎●▪︎●▪︎● What You Can Expect Strong focus on story and character choices Roleplay-heavy sessions with meaningful consequences Cosmic horror and creeping mystery Moral grey areas- no obvious “good” answers Milestone leveling (no XP tracking) Rule of Cool always welcome I run games that prioritize immersion and momentum. Most adventures are built for you. Barovia was built to break you. Step into a living, breathing nightmare where your choices actually matter and your mistakes have consequences. This is a high-immersion, open-world campaign where the mists don't wait for you to be "ready." Beneath the looming spires of Castle Ravenloft, Count Strahd von Zarovich rules with a cruelty that has no end. In this sandbox, you are free to explore any corner of the realm, but beware: the world is NOT level-balanced. Survival requires wit, scouting, and the wisdom to know when to run. The Horror Experience: - True Sandbox Freedom: Go where you want, when you want. The world reacts to your presence (and your absence) in real-time. - Lethal Consequences: I utilize Lingering Injuries for critical hits. In this campaign, a lucky strike doesn't just lower your HP, it might leave a scar, a limp, or a broken rib that changes your story forever. - Atmospheric Immersion: Using stunning, high-res maps from DM Andy and Czepeku, fully optimized with Roll20 Dynamic Lighting to ensure every dark corner feels dangerous. Game Details: - System: D&D 5e - Schedule: Mondays at 19:00 CET / 20:00 EET - Session Length: 3 Hours (with a 30-minute extension buffer if needed). - Platforms: Roll20, Discord, and DnDBeyond (Full Content Sharing + Beyond20 integration for seamless, fast-paced play). Pricing & The "Pro" Trial: I believe in "Try Before You Buy." I want you to experience the quality of my table risk-free: - Session 0 & Session 1 are FREE. - Rate: $20 USD per session via Startplaying.games. - Bring a friend! If you join together, you BOTH get 50% OFF your first two paid sessions. What You Are Paying For: - Expert Preparation: I invest in premium resources and adapt the story to weave your character’s fears and flaws into the mists of Barovia. - Reliability & Maturity: A paid table avoids "no-shows" and ensures a committed group of adults dedicated to completing the campaign. - Full Access: Use my complete DnDBeyond library for character creation and enjoy top-tier assets from creators like Mad Cartographer and more. Hey this is our Multiversal game where the players are heroes summoned and revived by the gods in order to fix the universe that has started to unravel due to the actions of a few.  The party travels around the various planes doing quests and missions to stabilize the universe and also bring some good into reality.  The game largly plays as several back to back arcs and oneshots with a slight overarching story. The game blends sci-fi, fantasy, and all sorts of genres This game has been ongoing but with several people leaving I'm trying to revamp it and bring new life to this game

Shadows over the East - The Forgotten Realms

Paid game Paid game
Shadows over the East A Player-Driven Sandbox in the Unapproachable East Mondays at 5pm GMT The lands of the East have endured a long, bitter decline. Demon cults whisper in the shadows once more. The noble courts of Impiltur and Damara, once bulwarks of justice, rot from within—nobles trading oaths for coin while the Church of the Triad wanes beneath the weight of corruption. To the north, the broken tribes of Narfell cling to survival amid the haunted ruins of their demon-binding past. To the south, the Great Dale teeters on the edge of chaos—its northern reaches infested with fiend-spawn, while the druids of Leth guard the southern forests and trust few outsiders. And across it all, the veil between worlds grows thin. In lonely forests, forgotten barrows, and beneath the cities of men. Things that should not be slip through, leaving only fear and ruin in their wake. In these uncertain times, salvation—or damnation—will not come from kings or gods. It will come from those who choose to act. A Living World, Shaped by Its People Shadows over the East is a character-driven sandbox campaign set in the Unapproachable East (Forgotten Lands). The story unfolds through player choices—alliances formed, oaths broken, and the moral weight of survival in a world sliding toward darkness. The details are yours to define—what you serve, what you’ve lost, and what you hope to reclaim. These ties will shape how the East sees you—and how you choose to shape it in return. The Campaign Tone Dark Realism, Flickering Hope. The East is weary but not lost. Consequences Matter. Factions remember, and choices echo. Personal Stakes. Faith, legacy, and redemption lie at the heart of every story. Campaign plays at 5pm GMT Mondays. Cost is $15 per session. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmngivpu300jwl504q2qnyacz

The city of Imperi gleams beneath its marble arches, but something in its warmth feels subtly, unmistakably wrong. A hush clings to the rings, a tension beneath the noise of markets and parades, as if the city is waiting for a cue it hasn’t yet been given. Strange heat gathers in forgotten corners. People drift into quiet, sun‑dazed reveries. And deep beneath the streets, the mines report accidents that don’t behave like accidents at all. As the party moves through the city, they begin to uncover threads that should never have touched: political denials that contradict eyewitness accounts, a thieves’ guild quietly stockpiling a radiant essence called Sunbreath, and a traveling troupe whose performances seem to mask coded meetings and midnight movements. Every faction wants something from Imperi, and every faction wants something from the players — information, loyalty, silence. What the party doesn’t yet see is that these crises are not isolated. They are pieces of a design that stretches far beyond the city’s walls. The warmth, the watchers, the missing shipments, the shifting alliances, the Sunbreath itself — all of it is being arranged with deliberate care. Someone is preparing a binding, a contract of law and will and sacrifice, meant to join a powerful claimant to a chosen Vessel. And Imperi, in all its grandeur, is only the stage. When the truth finally rises to the surface, the players will have to decide what to protect, what to expose, and who they become when the city’s masks fall away. In Act II, every choice shapes the fate of Imperi — and the curtain hasn’t even lifted.

13$ per session through StartPlaying https://startplaying.games/gm/bryceythomas  on Saturdays @ 7:30PM. The Great Proving returns to Dras’Gromm—a legendary festival of strength, spectacle, and survival in the heart of the desert. Every few years, the dragons of the Khyrazgaar throw open the arena gates to warriors, champions, and the Pit‑Sworn: condemned souls forced to fight for a single promise. Win the Proving, and you’ll earn freedom, land, and a life beyond the sands. You are one of the Pit‑Sworn. Whether by crime, exile, debt, or order, you are forced to fight in the arena. The crowds cheer for you as underdogs. The dragons see the Proving as tradition. Merchants bet huge sums on every match. Most people in the desert see it as a celebration. But this year feels different. Matches are harsher. Teams vanish without explanation. The rules seem to shift in ways that no one can quite put their finger on. Two teams in particular fight with uncanny precision—too polished, too prepared, too lucky. Your own team wasn’t drafted by chance. Someone made sure you were placed together. Someone ensured that you had the necessary gear, training, and a slot in the bracket. Someone wants you to survive longer than the Pit‑Sworn usually do. You’ve received hints, favors, and quiet nudges from a sponsor who never shows their face. You don’t know who they are. You don’t know what they want. You only know this: they want you to interfere. Your task, as you understand it, is simple: fight well, survive, and uncover why this year’s Proving feels wrong. Ahead lie Blood Ring battles, team clashes, mounted relays, and the final challenge known as the Descent, a symbolic journey into the tunnels beneath Dras’Gromm. Most Pit‑Sworn never return from it. If you reach the Descent, you’ll be closer to the truth than any Pit‑Sworn has ever been. For now, all you can do is step into the sand, raise your weapon, and trust your instincts. Something in the Proving is shifting. And you are standing in the center of it.

Goodyear 5e homebrew campaign forming — looking for 3–5 players Hi! My wife and I recently moved to Goodyear and are looking to start an in-person D&D 5e campaign. I’m a longtime/forever DM by preference and have run multiple multi-year campaigns. System: D&D 5e ('24 preferred, '14 fine) Schedule: Weekly Saturdays or Sundays, likely late morning/early afternoon Session length: Around 6 hours Location: Goodyear, hosted at our house after we’ve had a chance to meet/chat first Style: Emphasis on roleplay and challenging encounters in a homebrew campaign. We’re looking for players who are willing to speak in character during in-game social interactions. You don’t need a character voice, just make sure we can tell in character vs out of character. We’re especially hoping to find at least one more woman for the group so my wife isn’t the only woman at the table. If that sounds interesting, message me on Discord and we can talk campaign style, expectations, and fit.

Welcome to Sil'Lumina, a still wild continent in the early stages of settlement. As cities and towns rise, and various interests struggle for power, something stronger stirs beneath the surface and in the shadows. What mysteries will you uncover? What impact will the choices you make have on the fledgling civilization? Only time and a roll of the dice will tell. This is a homebrew setting, in a world that I'm slowly building. Picture a combination of the Rennaisance and the Victorian era, and you're close to the vibe. I lean into THE RULE OF COOL a lot, so leave your rules lawyering at the door. This is also an LGBTQIA+ friendly "table", so I ask that you don't join if you're going to be a bigot (or if your character is going to be a bigot). My "table" is a safe space. This is not up for negotiation. Being that it's a homebrew setting, homebrew races and classes will be allowed (within reason and with prior arrangement). I'm happy to work with ideas and will do my best to make them happen. Newbies and the inexperienced are more than welcome to join, so I ask that more experienced players be patient and understanding and not disparage any new players at the "table". Feel free to message me with any questions, comments, concerns. I look forward to hearing from you!

Echoes-Beyond-Realms

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Brief Description of setting: General vibe has fun daftness of a mostly at sea adventure set in a high fantasy homebrew world with some modest Lovecraftian cosmic horror aspects on serious story details while also taking some mild inspiration from Ebberon, and various comic/anime nods. Setting is based in a world with odd occurrences of rifts to various planes, usually dangerous but somewhat controlled in parts. It is a more exotic race/species friendly world, so not human or preferably not human-esk or commonly used fitting in types. In its origin and in the present some of the average in power common races would be Dragonborn, Drow, Varied Genasi, Tiefling of many coloration and minor mix, Goblinoids, Kobold, and various more animal related folk. I do play in some personalised design flavour with such eg: an aarakocra may be designed to be like a bluejay, robin or cardinal. Other bigger world history topics enlightening more to the lack of human populace, cosmic phenomenon and certain hostilities/indifferences between other types of species can be discussed. I try to make good use of character backgrounds and their species connections to world to fuel story, adding and altering as things evolve. On going Party: Water Genasi Warlock- making up for Deep sea cultist history. Kalashtar (Differently designed in origin via other species mix) Blood hunter - dealing with corrupted memory and past related to kidnapping. Fairy Bard - consciousness escaped from a variant of the deck of many Void card and found her body remains minimal in a clockwork toy. Story in motion: The group of female adventurers began on the docks of a central city of my own homebrew world with former players who each had life causes need for taking leave though still their characters are regarded as npc in story. The group has since made their way on seas with strange encounters and new understandings of phenomena linking them. When venturing on the ocean floor after backstory relevant face offs and timeline altering's the group gradually bonded further before having to take on a mission off world in aid of a friend's plight. When the game is:  Fortnightly Sunday eves 5 till 10, start and end is likely a bit in ways of player chatter and ease on to timing of game if we get straight in may end early at time, but either way we usually have mini break. Time/Country: Due to prior difficulty I'd prefer players to be located for 5pm-10pm GMT. Rule/Play Style: High magic with mild steampunk pirate stuff but mainly Fantasy Horror vibes, RP and combat 60/40. Chunks of story can be capable of leaning the odd bit to one more than other. Hombrewy/RuleOfCool-we have homebrew rules with things like exhaustion and crits damage and attunement slots, nothing unlikely to be all too unheard of but primarily we aim for character story lead rulings for well formed character design and in play character related ideas. Resources/VTT needed: voice and vid -Discord, dnd beyond, roll20. New PC starting Level: 7 (up via milestones)with a feat from start and with 4th lvl as well as ability mod- https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/432602/echoes-beyond-realms *--See roll20 link above for other about me/group details and applications. -- *2014/2024 rule use is covered mildly on link but ultimately as the majority of rules are 2014 into Tashas and vast personalised house rulings we have, I can at best say there is mild openness to newer rules being i see it as modest differences from what we already have in place.

Cue the intro Hello! We’re a group of three (2 players, 1 DM) looking for 2-3 additional players. We would start by running a handful of one-shots to workout the chemistry and dynamics and then move into a full campaign. Preferably we would like people 25+ years of age but we welcome newbies, veterans, and players in between! This would be played with the 5th edition system but open to group consensus on playing 2014 or 2024 rules. It would be a weekly game (Fridays, but relatively flexible) that would last 3-4 hours. For more information please see the doc below and the form linked within: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F_j2tNVPS_a-UO1zXMWyXP7RrBjQEc2Tf7OGJt1qAx0/edit?usp=sharing

Searching an DM

LOOKING FOR DM We are a group of 5 looking for a dm who is willing to run a game that contains high fantasy and can adapt with homebrewing (ie. players creating their character home lands, custom classes, races, etc). We prefer to play around 1pm - 6pm gmt ( 8am - 1pm est ), we also need someone who is lgbtqa+ friendly, is ok with a heavy swearing, and a dm who doesn't fall in love with their players. We each have characters and stories ranging from simple paragraph to page long backstories we would like to play, and a good chunk of us prefer problem solving and roleplaying focused games than combat ( 60/40 range). Our games tend to be general trigger warnings as the stories we like to follow are relatively darker in material, so keep that in mind. Some of us have talents that can assist the game, (ie. One of our players can draw maps, One of our players can draw, etc ) We do have 2 minors within the group, one being 16 (06/04/09) and 17 (08/01/08) Please feel free to send me a message if interested Discord: alarak05

Hello adventurers! We are currently over 50 members on a discord server that started as a newbie friendly tutorial group. The server is beginner-friendly, but we also welcome more experienced players. We focus on learning the basics, improving roleplay, and most importantly, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment. I’m currently on GMT+2, and my sessions usually run in the evenings, around 19:00–20:00 until 23:00-00:00 local time. But there are other people on different time zones to play with! At the moment, I’m also looking for people who would be interested to take upon the role of Dungeon Master, be it in my campaign or in your own custom/homebrew one. If you enjoy guiding others, helping beginners understand the game and running relaxed, fun sessions, I would love to talk to you about that too. If this sounds like something you'd want to be part of, feel free to reach out!

The Mulon Automatons - A Third-party 5e Adventure

Paid game Paid game
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The Mulon Automatons is a third-party D&D 5e (2014) adventure starting at level 1 and finishing at level 6.   The world of Toril has more to offer than just the continent of Faerûn, and this campaign will take place in a new continent, that of Hadorolund. (As it's the same world, all the races, classes, pantheons remain unchanged) The adventure is written for a party of 5 player characters (PCs) max, and sees them unravel the secret power struggle taking place in Mulon, a medium-sized but nonetheless important mining town struggling with the reality of life during war. The players will be confronted with significant choices concerning the factions in Mulon vying for control, with equally significant consequences for these choices, allowing the players to shape the world of the PCs. Sessions: Session length will typically be around 3.5 hours. Scheduled weekly for 3:30pm Mondays (GMT+2). Accepted Sources: Any officially published Wizards of the Coast material 5e (2014) sources. Unearthed Arcana and 3rd party homebrew (with approval before play). All are welcome: Newbies, (if you’re new to D&D you’re more than welcome here. I’m happy to help you learn the game) LGBTQ+ friendly Veteran players Characters: I can assist everyone in setting up your character sheets before the session, as the character sheets will have to be done old-school (done individually with your own inputs, rather than through Roll20’s standard charactermancer due to some peculiarities with the races on this continent…) Leveling up will be by milestones. No PvP allowed. Platforms: We’ll be using Discord for voice (and video if that interests people). We'll be using roll20.net for the maps and PCs (sign-up on https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/21403827/the-mulon-automatons-a-third-party-5e-adventure) Weekly payments ($15 per session) to be made through wise.com  About me: I love the collaborative story-telling aspect of D&D, so in addition to providing fun roleplay moments for the party and challenging encounters, the central element of our game will be the unravelling of the story through the characters’ choices and actions. Let me know if you're interested in joining, and hope to see you at the table soon :)

Looking for DM – Curse of Strahd Campaign (2 Players) Hi there! My friend Jens and I are looking for a Dungeon Master to run a Curse of Strahd campaign for us. We’re hoping to find a DM who enjoys running a serious, immersive, roleplay-heavy game with strong gothic horror atmosphere and meaningful consequences. We’re both very excited about the setting and are looking for a long-term campaign where story, character development, and party dynamics are central. 👤 About Us Ben (me) 25 years old, based in Europe ~7 years experience with D&D 5e Current DM for a monthly in-person campaign (1+ year ongoing) Previously prepared a Curse of Strahd campaign and fell in love with the setting Experienced with roleplay-heavy, long-form storytelling games Comfortable with serious tone and collaborative storytelling Jens 25 years old A few months of D&D experience Very enthusiastic and eager to learn Especially drawn to dark, gothic fantasy settings Looking to grow his roleplay and system understanding through play 🎭 What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Curse of Strahd campaign that is challenging, We enjoy tension, risk, and meaningful consequences. We would love a DM who enjoys: Roleplay-heavy storytelling A dark, gothic, consequence-driven world Long-term campaign commitment Party-driven narrative development Creative freedom and player-driven choices ⚔️ Desired Gameplay Style / Systems Lethality system: Death is permanent when a character dies, if all characters die the campaign ends. we had the idee to use tashas couldron companion rules a a sort of “extra life” system: Each player begins with 2 companions that can be developed into full player characters when the players main character dies. These act as backup lives. However, they can also die independently, removing those extra survivability layers before the main character dies. Expanded Lingering Injuries system: for this we would like to use the Farlandworld Lingering Injuries by Damage Type. Expanded Indefinite Madness system: for this I have a D100 list. As you can tell we are fully on board for a brutal, gritty, and consequence-heavy experience, and we are actively looking for a DM who enjoys running that kind of game. We’re not looking to “win” Curse of Strahd we’re looking to survive it, suffer through it, and tell a memorable story doing so. No character should be the same after Barovia is done with them... 🧰 Practical Info Availability is during night hours 19:00/20:00 until 23:00/00:00. Discord for voice I know Roll20 but other platforms are fine Stable internet and working microphones System is DND 5e (2014) 🌫️ Final Note if you are a DM who enjoys a challenge wants to dish out curses and run a truly horific Curse of Strahd experience. Then this is the game for you! we’d love to hear from you, please send us your discord and something about yourself so we can conntact you and plan a call. Ben & Jens

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hey everyone! We’re a friendly, established group of three (one DM, two players) based in the greater Waterbury, Connecticut area looking to bring in two to three more players for an in-person homebrew campaign. About the Campaign Our DM is running a fully original homebrew world with a heavy roleplay focus. The big thing that makes this campaign special is that your character’s backstory will be actively woven into the story — your history, your motivations, and your character’s world will matter and show up at the table. This is not a hack-and-slash game. It’s a character-driven, story-rich experience where who your character is matters as much as what they can do. Setting is fantasy — any class or race that fits a classic fantasy world is welcome. The one notable restriction is no advanced technology (no firearms or gun-based classes). Everything else is pretty much on the table. Backstory You are heavily encouraged to write a backstory for your character. There’s no hard minimum or maximum — half a page is fine, ten pages is welcome. The more you put in, the more the DM has to work with and the more your character will feel like part of the world. About Us Several of our core players have played together before across multiple campaigns. We’re intermediate to advanced players who take roleplay seriously but keep the table fun and welcoming. No drama, no gatekeeping, just people who want to tell a good story together. Voices and accents are encouraged but absolutely not required — be yourself. What We’re Looking For Someone who: • Can commit to weekly or every-other-week sessions on Sundays around 2-3PM in person in the Waterbury, CT area • Is punctual and reliable — sessions start on time • Wants to genuinely roleplay and engage with the story, not just roll dice • Is friendly, easygoing, and brings good energy to the table • Is excited about a long-term campaign, not just a one-off • Can write at least some backstory for their character • Is nonaggressive and easy to get along with How It Starts We’ll kick things off with a one-shot session — low stakes, get to know each other, see if the vibe works for everyone. If it clicks, we move into the full campaign together. The Basics • System: D&D 5.5e (2024) • Location: Greater Waterbury, CT — in person • Schedule: Sundays, approximately 2-3PM, weekly to every other week • Experience level: Intermediate to advanced preferred • Current group: 1 DM + 2 players, looking for 2-3 more • Cost: Free If this sounds like your kind of game drop a comment or send a DM. Tell us a little about yourself and what kind of character or story you’d want to bring to the table. Looking forward to meeting you.

What's up guys! I am here to get some extra players for my fourth campaign in this ever expanding story of The Edge Of Monster Hunting. In the last campaign the party defeated the king of monsters Alucard and made his high tier monster army run away into the deep earth, even deeper than the Underdark. The cost was the world's greatest protector, Ezekial Hellheim- who was the strongest Monster Hunter for years! 17 years after the third campaign/season we now follow a party who are going to graduate their first year of the Monster Hunter Academy, where the party must fight off a new threat who is closer than they think. PREFERED AGES ARE 19 AND UNDER (My party and me are minors and we'd prefer to keep it at least somewhat near our age.) FEMALE PLAYERS WANTED (I am simply trying to have party gender balance to have a bit more povs and I lowk want more female characters) IF INTERESTED ADD ME ON DISCORD!!: redrangerrrr

Mondays 21hs EST through discord and foundryvtt. Weekly. 10usd through startplaying: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmn6k8xk2003xjm04aejfsp7f?ref=cmlttd0e900mvl804vumw8d5h The party has just reached Wickermoor Hollow, the main town of the game. Currently at level 3 You didn't buy this ticket. You don't remember receiving it. But somehow, it ended up in your hands — and now the train is here. The Ghostlight Express is a spectral train that ferries souls to the afterlife. Your journey through the mists of death leaves you stranded in the mysterious valley of Wickermoor Hollow — where isolated peoples are terrorized by restless dead, wicked hags, ravenous monsters, and many other creatures of a night that never ends. Somewhere in this crooked land, a Crooked Man grins beneath a Crooked Tree. He hears the whispers of something ancient and hungry. And it has noticed you. The Crooked Moon is a massive folk horror campaign drawing inspiration from grim folklore, legendary horror films, and classic Halloween aesthetics — set in Druskenvald, a demiplane of endless night where the living and dead coexist. This is not a world of shining heroes and clear-cut evil. This is a world of dread, wonder, difficult choices and stories that will haunt you long after the session ends. This campaign is built around: 🌲 Folk horror atmosphere — think Midsommar, The Witch, and Sleepy Hollow at the table 🚂 A phantom train, haunted valleys and creatures straight out of dark folklore 🎭 Deep roleplay with morally complex NPCs and a living, breathing cursed community 🃏 A Tarot-style fate system that makes every playthrough unique 👹 11 legendary boss monsters including the Wicker Man, the Ghost Train and the Horned King Perfect for: — Players who want horror that gets under their skin — not just jump scares — Groups who love rich lore, mystery and a world that feels genuinely dangerous — Veterans looking for something completely different from traditional D&D — Anyone who's ever wanted their backstory to actually matter in the story The Crooked Moon won second place for the 2025 TechRaptor Tabletop Game of the Year and was named one of the best TTRPGs of 2025 by Game Informer. This is the real deal.

A warlock orc, a kobold warrior, a drow ranger and a human sorcerer are waiting for their final partner. The group has already completed the first dungeon and has reached Phandalin, but the story has just begun. You will start at level 2 to match the party We play fridays at 6pm EST through foundry and discord. The entry fee is 9usd through startplaying https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmmx1kvdw00tejx048uewa9ow A small frontier town. A buried secret. A threat that watches from the dark. Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk begins as a classic sword-and-sorcery adventure: you arrive in the rugged frontier settlement of Phandalin, a town full of opportunity, tension, and hidden agendas. What starts as a straightforward job quickly unravels into something far stranger and far more dangerous. Ancient ruins stir beneath the earth. Whispers spread through the countryside. People begin acting… differently. And the deeper you dig, the clearer it becomes: something old and alien is pushing its way into the light. This campaign blends: ⚔️ Classic heroic fantasy and dungeon delving 🕵️ Mystery and investigation 🧠 Creeping cosmic horror elements 🏘️ A living town that reacts to your choices 📈 A full character journey from low levels into high-stakes play Perfect for: New players who want a strong narrative backbone Veterans who enjoy layered threats and escalating tension Groups who like their fantasy with a touch of the uncanny You’ll explore lost locations, protect (or endanger) a struggling town, uncover long-buried truths, and decide how far you're willing to go when the enemy isn’t just physical—but psychological.

Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

Looking for 1-3 people who are interested in a weekly game taking place on the weekend. Exact time will be figured out by the core players. I’d want interested people to be able to show up about 75-80% of the time, since in practice, we’d miss some percentage much larger than that. The campaign is Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen. The players are presently level 5. The rules involve a lot of homebrew. The main goals of that homebrew are to increase the pace of combat, increase tradeoffs for ability scores, and make downtime more meaningful. While some of the rules are new, most of them are just ports from older editions of D&D.  The basic campaign has the characters take on the role of an elite squad in the military that is resisting the conquest of the Red Dragon Army, which has been sweeping the continent. In Dragonlance, arcane magic is regulated by the Tower of High Sorcery, while divine magic is rare, as the gods had previously abandoned the world and are only now just returning. The campaign has a tie-in board game to enact larger scale battles in the war. We had been toying with a lower commitment campaign, but ran into the limitations of that. In practice, that means that none of the original core players will continue on as core players. We will still be experimenting a bit with sidekicks, which can potentially be controlled by guest players when they’re able to show up. Changing the core players means I’m only somewhat tied to continuing Dragonlance in particular. If you like the idea of playing a homebrew 5e campaign weekly on weekends, but are struggling to get excited about dragonlance, then I’d be happy to hear from you. I’d also be happy to hear from anyone in a similar-ish situation (trying to run a weekly weekend game but struggling to find enough players) to see if we can join forces. Some other notes: We would probably plan to start in June, though we could obviously plan characters and such beforehand. While I don’t mind teaching people how to play, and in fact expect to do so, I would prefer people who understand the time commitment of a campaign. Relatedly, I’d prefer people who are willing to iterate a few times on character creation until we get something that feels good/fitting for all involved, rather than people who want to play an extremely specific character regardless. While character death isn’t guaranteed or required, it is possible, and if the rules say your character dies, your character will almost always die, except in some special cases. Recall that while this isn’t a true meat grinder, there are no temples with working clerics, either. The goal is to make new friends to play with, not play the game for the sake of it, so let's make sure we like each other before we get too deep.

The Great Galactic war is over. At least, on paper. In the uneasy years following the Treaty of Coruscant, Balmorra stands as one of the galaxy’s most bitterly contested worlds. Captured by the Sith Empire after the Republic was forced to retreat from the planet's surface, the planet’s abundant minerals and factories now churn out weapons, droids and supplies for Imperial war fleets, while its people live under curfews, surveillance, and the constant presence of Sith overseers. Officially, the war is over. On Balmorra, it never truly ended. The Empire’s iron grip is purchased through military governors, Sith apprentices and minor lords hungry for prestige and advancement, and collaborators promised safety in exchange for obedience. But concealed within the margins of the official imperial census and hidden beneath the watchful eyes of Imperial intelligence and Sith alike, the fight for Balmorra continues, carried on by those who remember what freedom felt like, and who are willing to fight, and die for it. They are outgunned, fractured, and hunted, but they are not broken. Players will join this secret war, be they Republic intelligence, Jedi, Resistance members, Smugglers, Bounty Hunters or even turncoats from the Empire, a shared camaraderie binds all together. Missions will decide the fate of supplies, prototype weapons, and entire districts. Every success brings the dawn a little bit closer, while failure may finally allow the Sith Empire to choke the life out of Balmorra. This is a resistance based campaign inspired by Andor set in the time of the Old Republic, played on the Star Wars 5e System!  Game Details: Session Time: Tuesdays, 8PM EST System: SW5E  Party Size: 3-5  $20 Weekly on Startplaying

[5e 2014] [LGBTQ+] [18+] Need 4-5 Players | Beginner Friendly | Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First off, Session times for this campaign are Tueadays at 3:00 PM PST/PDT through Discord. The session time is negotiable, provided it works within everyone's schedule. Hello! My name is Drew (22 y/o | he/they) and this is my first time DMing something other than a oneshot lol. I'm looking for 2 Players (of any experience) who prioritize roleplay, engage with worldbuilding, and enjoy collaborative storytelling. If you are homophobic, ableist, transphobic, racist, misogynist, xenophobic, etc. then this campaign is not for you. If you are looking for a strictly combat-focused campaign then this might not be for you either, sorry! That being said though, there will still be a decent amount of combat encounters so please let me know if you need any help :D! You'll be starting at Level 1, and I'm aiming to recruit atleast 4-5 other players for the table. I'm aiming to have everything ready for this campaign by the start of June hopefully, so we will begin actual Sessions on the first Saturday of June. This campaign will not be using generative AI in any way, shape, or form. The favorite food password is "peanut butter on pizza." If you condone or plan to use generative AI in your character creation process or otherwise then this campaign is not for you. We're going to be using the platform, FoundryVTT. Please dont let that dissuade you if you are used to other platforms such as Roll20. I am more than willing to give a tour of the platform, help you figure out certain player-specific features, and answer any questions you may have. If you are so interested, I will include the link to the worldbuilding material below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KhqhHNY5m21AUnHBCh1AXQ1ZlSzroxbV/view?usp=sharing Sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSePHUmYnMX_Mgd87jA6tifNNVQRWg76Dz4rXsB3CFABkRK9og/viewform?usp=dialog

Curse of Stradh  Group of 5 Players Seeking DM – Horror Campaign. Hello! We are an established group of five players looking for a DM to run a horror-themed campaign. Our previous game, Curse of Strahd Reloaded, ended early after our DM stepped away due to personal circumstances, and we decided to continue together. We found another DM to pick up, but he realised life was too busy at the moment for him to start another game. Our experience ranges from intermediate to advanced, some being DMs,  with several years playing D&D 5e 2014 and 2024 rules. Everyone in the group is comfortable with mechanics, participates actively in roleplay, communicates clearly, and maintains a cooperative table environment. Group Details • 5 players • Availability: Sundays at 7 PM EST (weekly) • Platform: Discord voice + Roll20 / Foundry or similar VTT • Playstyle: Roleplay-forward with strong atmosphere • Campaign preference: Horror / gothic tone • Curse of Strahd Reloaded We are looking for a GM interested in running a narrative-focused horror experience for the group. Cheers

Hey! Me and three friends are currently looking for a DM who’d be interested in running a campaign for us. We’re an active and committed group that really enjoys roleplay, story, and just having a good time together. In return, we’d love to offer you a spot in our own ongoing D&D campaign as a player! So you’d get the chance to both DM for us and be part of a separate adventure on the side. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, feel free to reach out! Treasurehunt in Mioridask

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The World Mioridask is a world made and defined by dragons. Its societies are split into those that worship dragons for their protection and benevolence, and those who believe in the freedom of individuals. Both sides fight for their beliefs, and kingdoms rise or fall out of pettiness and determination from either side. You, however, are no king. Not a peasant anymore either. By the end of the campaign, you are hopefully a hero. The Campaign The tone of the campaign is generally light-hearted, but there will be serious and tragic events as well. While I incorporate mature themes into my storytelling, this won't devolve into a gore or smut fest. I‘m planning to run a story where you are the good guys, the hero in this draconian system. The campaign will follow a linear storytelling. That means that I have a story in mind that I want to tell with you, which will incorporate your character‘s background as well. How you reach your goal is up to you, but I, as the DM, will determine what the goal is. I‘ve tried sandbox-style campaigns before and found that I don‘t enjoy them (and am also not good at running them). Your choices WILL matter, but if your choice is to rob a bank when the quest is to protect a village, then the group will choose that you aren‘t a good fit. The split between combat and roleplay will be 40/60. Exploration will sometimes take place but won’t be the focus. We’ll play over Discord and use Foundry for battlemaps and rolls. Cams are encouraged but not enforced or required. We'll start at lvl 1 and go all the way to 15. Possibly followed by some one-shot style adventures post main story to level 20. The Hook You‘ll start in the territory of the „Tribes of Stone“, a desert where most people live underground to escape the burning heat and dangerous monsters that hide in the sand. Access to magic here is rare, so when a merchant‘s delivery, which includes a spell scroll, gets lost on its way to the capital, he hires you to retrieve the wares. This mission is part of a 2-3 shot we‘ll use to get comfortable with each other and determine if the players and DM (me) work as a D&D group. This quest will then lead into the main campaign. I as a DM I’m Anna, 29 years old. A quick note to me and my DMing style: Rule of cool is great if you have a fantastic and creative idea, but in the end, we are playing 5e, so those rules count. I want to tell a story together with you, not "win". I've been DMing for around 8 years now, and this is the second time I'll run a campaign in this world. I’ve learned a lot from the first time and am itching to apply that. You as a player Members of the LGBTQ+ spectrum and women are explicitly encouraged to apply! You should be able to carry a scene but also know when others deserve the spotlight. I’m not looking for min-maxers, but your character shouldn’t be a burden to the team, like a cleric with low wisdom. You can be a new or experienced player, and I’ll try to get a nice mix of both in the final party. If this sounds like a Campaign you’d be interested in joining, please apply through this link. I’ll get back to people I want to have a chat with by Friday evening. https://forms.gle/dNiXQcsM7ENagLyU9

Chronicles of Alver - Viking - 2 players needed

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
TL;DR [Two Players Needed - All Welcomed] [homebrew - Viking inspired] [Thursdays 21:30 GMT +2 ] We have two slots available for a 5-player party. You can read below everything about the campaign, its settings, etc, and I can share a lot more lore with whoever gets to the Discord "face-to-face" interview :) Since the campaign launched on YouTube, you can also watch recent episodes to get a sense of the current party vibe and overall style. We keep things balanced, so there are episodes with a lot of fighting and episodes with mostly role-play. Mind - We are all experienced players/DMs but amateurs when it comes to "acting", so don't expect great acting, technical know-how, or CR level game ;) You can find it on YouTube under the name: The Chronicles of Alver - https://www.youtube.com/@ChroniclesofAlver I will add that I'm looking for people with the ability to take charge and initiate role play and conversations - I want you to feel like you're in the world and try your best to "live" in it :) Lastly, everyone is welcome to try - I don't care about your race, sexual orientation, or favorite blanket as a child. Be kind and friendly to the rest of the party, and you'll fit right in :) Click the link to apply: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIeo4QAfbIuDVafQxzwxbnO4WD9GxjzJyPEBvs4x5R9SeiWg/viewform?usp=header ******************* Hey everyone! This post will be long as I want to give you a lot of information, so bear with me :) Index: About me About the campaign About the world Closing words About me: I'm an experienced DM (over 9 years). I would like to have five players for the campaign. You don't need to be a veteran, but I prefer some experience. The campaign is my homebrew world, which I created for a fantasy book I'm writing (and have been for several long years). I'm the head of a creative studio in an AAA-related gaming company. I'm a fantasy lover, a medieval history buff, and a martial artist, so if it has capes, I'm in! I'm a married father of three with a dog (so technically four as she's very much a daughter to me). I generally love dad jokes and word puns. I always mean my puns! About the campaign: We'll be using 5e with many homebrew elements. All the races and lore are homebrew, but for ease of use, they will all be based on edited versions of "normal" races (and all will be added to D&D Beyond). The party is currently at level 7. This will strike a balance between action and role-play. You will have a lot of weight on the story and direction. Everything goes - as long as it's realistic within the logic and magic of the world. Please let me know what you'd like to try, and we'll see how to make it happen. Death is final. Mostly. If your character dies, it'll be rare to bring them back. But you can always roll a new character. My goal is for you to enjoy the game and story. I don't want to kill your characters. I aim to provide you with a challenge, an engaging story, and a fun and immersive experience. Weekly sessions are held on Thursdays, most often (unless too many people are unable to join, in which case we'll try to find an alternative day for that week). Sessions start at 21:30 +3 GMT (18:30 UTC) and are usually two and a half hours long. We're doing video chat via the Riverside website (also for recording). I believe seeing our faces and expressions helps connect us, so I want people who are not camera-shy. No one cares how you look, what your race or color is, or whatever - be yourself (and your character), and that's great! D&D Beyond + Foundry for combat + Discord (for text chats). YouTube/Podcast - I record our sessions and post them on the campaign's YouTube channel, and may also stream them live later. I'm not delusional in thinking we'll be big or famous, but maybe some people will find our game fun to watch and benefit from it. So you need to be ok with it. Before we dive into lore and character creation, I'll ask you to sign a release form to allow me to upload videos featuring you from our sessions (all the other players have signed this form - it is to protect both you and me in the future). We speak English. I'm not a native speaker, and I don't do accents very well. But I do have excellent English. The sessions will be in English. You need to be able to speak it well. Accents are fine :) Please do not include IRL politics or agendas during sessions - These motifs are ok and might be present if they are relevant to what's going on in the session (i.e, Slavery or the Spanish Inquisition if we face a similar situation - you can use philosophical ideas obviously) - But try not to insert IRL events happening now or in recent years if possible. Age groups - around 30 or above, please Ensure you schedule a time for the session. This is important, as we've had people cancel frequently, leading to canceled sessions that significantly hinder story progression and immersion. Unforeseen shit can happen, of course, but please, if you apply, make sure you can commit to being available for the sessions each week. About the world: We'll be playing in a world called Alver on the continent of Kronland. This is a heavily Nordic-inspired world. Imagine what the late Middle Ages and Renaissance in Europe would have looked and felt like if the Vikings had become the dominant influence rather than Christianity. At the same time, there would still be distinct kingdoms with their own cultures, fashions, and styles. Norse mythology is deeply ingrained in the world.  The lore is inspired by Nordic mythology, but it is NOT Nordic mythology. It's a full-on pantheon and history I created. Some stuff will align and match, but much will not.  The continent is vast, and thus, the distance between cities, villages, and civilizations is such that the world varies greatly, from areas with rare magic and supernatural elements to cosmopolitan cities with mixed races, magic, and wonder. The game is designed to strike a balance between drama, grim humor, and epic adventure. It's not just grimdark or silly - it'll be a mix of all. You'll start small in scope, but the story is meant to go epic by the end.  There are five playable races (with some having sub-races), which I'll share the details of later, but these are the closest "D&D" races to them in racial traits: Menskr: Humans + Vel (homebrew variant human - with some innate self-magical potential) Kettir: Homebrew Tabaxi Hedlinari: Homebrew mix between Dwarfs/Gnomes/Halfings Graari: Homebrew Goliath (with horns! lol) Mal-Siva: Homebrew Aasimar (The only race that can use "real" magic classes like Wizards or Warlocks in my world) Closing words: That's it. If you read all the way here, my respect! I hope we can have a fun, friendly group to play with, grow together, and have emotional support when needed (lol). Feel free to ask me any questions you might have!

Fridays at 5pm GMT. We'll use discord for voice and dndbeyond for sheets. **DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE.** An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by its terrors!

The Scales of Famine

Looking for 2-3 players for an offline game in HB every other Sunday 10am to 4pm (approximately). System is D&D 5E 2014. We use DndBeyond and have a great setup at the hosts home with a tv for maps and minis printed by another group member. We recently lost a couple players to real life and are looking to add to our numbers. The Campaign is homebrew, characters are currently level 13. The main plot is about the Players, The Senior Officers of a Mercenary Company, that have taken a stand against a world conquering Warlord and his armies. I am late 40s and have been playing TTRPGs for over 20 years. The players are 5 guys 30s-50s but we are open to anyone (LGBTQ friendly)

The Little Kingdoms: A mostly homebrewed campaign

Paid game Paid game
Hihi! Welcome to Lumi's Roomies, I'm Lumen, with a year or so experience of GMing under my belt! Granted, it's not a highly impressive number but I've been an avid roleplayer for more than 5 years now and consume media pretty voraciously (although mostly books rather than TV shows or movies). *Inhales*: Shameless bragging, but since this is a fantasy world of my own creation that I've been working on for years at this point, this campaign does allow for a very wide range of player agency since I'm confident I'll be able to adapt to any situation or decision (as long as it's rational!) This campaign is about the adventure of an unlikely group of allies in the Little Kingdoms, a set of 5 small, aspiring empires tucked away between the Lorithian forests, Wei and Lai, haunted by returning spirits and behind the rumbling mountains of Azlith, an ancient god. With the forces of evil returning and the forests seeking to bridge the gap that separated them, and a malevolent entity feeding Azlith's reduced form with energy to harness his power, the political and military disputes between these kingdoms seems superficial in comparison.. and yet the humans and elves will continue to wage war on each other despite the mounting threats. Try to find a nice way to thread the needle between these two conflicts and save everyone, or don't - it's up to you. We will be playing point-buy, starting at level 3 all the way to.. I'm not sure! It could be level 10, 15, even to 20 depending on how the campaign goes. We'll be using Avrae and voicechat, Foundry VTT. In terms of times, please be free from 6pm-1am in AEDT timezone, which is GMT+10:00 at the moment: check your availability Application here: Link - just to check if we mesh well. Information: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmmzkwjth01bzl504davwhq3m Disclaimer: I have a more unique take on the mix between combat and roleplay, so prepare for some more interconnectedness! I am also, still, a fairly inexperienced DM so I hope you have a bit of patience with me at times. I also expect that once you declare your available times that you commit to those timeslots! Of course, life happens and things change and that's understandable, but try to be accurate with your availability.

The Great plauge of Fe'zha

Hello! My name is Lyn/Alina, I am a relatively new DM looking for 2 more players to make 4 The campaign is set in the Nordic(?) island of Fe’zha, historically an island of battling kingdoms, until and infection quickly swept most of the island, leaving only a small sheltered area and another small island You will play as a member of the force assigned to fight the plague Many choose to fight, the island is their homeland after all, some are prisoners forced to fight from foreign lands, some come from said foreign lands to fight for their own reasons The world we are set in is my own world building project, its quite in the beta at the moment, HOWEVER, feel free to ask questions or even, add things to the world, with my permission of course Each player will have a private chat and an in-character channel so roleplay between players and NPCs can happen and is encouraged Timezone is GMT, we play on playing 6 to 8 on fridays but this is flexible Meet the Characters! I did interviews with each character and he is the result Faetris Rosefield: The Druid Raised in an isolated cabin in the woods surrounding totba the forest grew very close to her heart, she was a protector for all the wildlife, as the abundance of animals made it prone to poaching Solaris Staarbright: The Bard/Warlock (he promised me he will be normal) Solaris is an Elf from the Hedonistic town of Cearsflorre, a beautiful town all year round weather its the diamond dust snow fall of sinter or the everpresent cherry blossoms Before the war he was a travelling entertainer, mostly in flair mixology and erotic dancing He is a mostly self trained mixologist, he would order drinks and make notes of what they mixed and how He is saving up to start his own tavern in the mid plains of aurosol, his home land What you need: to be able to speak english, and simply a vague idea of a character!, I and the others are happy to help you develop them

Group of Experienced Players Looking for DM

No paid games No paid games
Adult Adult
I've recently put together a solid group of veteran players, and we're on the hunt for an experienced DM to take the helm. We're a diverse bunch from a few different locales, but we've all managed to align our schedules and share a common vision for the kind of game we want to play. Here is a quick breakdown of what we are looking for: Schedule: We are looking to play on Sunday afternoon GMT+1. The Vibe: A mature, serious campaign. We want a game with depth where actions have consequences. Silliness isn't out, but it shouldn't be baked in. Style: We're looking for a DM that knows how to run combat well, but focuses on exploration and role-play. Not every session needs to be balanced, but there there should be more of the latter two. Stability: We are looking for a long-term, reliable table. We are a dedicated group ready to commit to showing up regularly, and we want a DM who is looking for that same consistency. The Campaign: We are completely open to either a homebrew world or an official module. We would love to find a DM who is down to chat with us and figure out exactly what kind of story we all want to tell together. A lot of us have DM'd previously and collectively own and care share either edition of 5e on Dndbeyond. We have the most experience with Roll20, but many of us have used other VTTs. A bit about us: Since we are all experienced with the game, you won't have to hold our hands with the rules or mechanics. We know how much work goes into running a campaign, and we respect the DM's time. We are just looking for a drama-free environment to roll some dice and build a narrative. If you're an experienced DM looking for a reliable group that is already assembled and ready to go, shoot me a message or drop a reply below. Let's chat and see if we're a good fit.

~~ Welcome, Adventurer ~~ Behind you, the mainland vanishes over the horizon. Ahead, an island nation burns, with pirate fleets raiding coastal towns with vicious ambition. The Admiralty sent cannons, soldiers, and one unlikely final asset: you. - You’ll swing from the rigging, man the cannons, and walk the plank from the deck of your own ship: a vessel as infamous as the crew you keep! - You’ll survive merciless storms, swirling whirlpools, and rogue waves the size of castles, all while something hungry glides beneath the swell! - And deep below, where light dies? Aberrant creatures whisper to eldritch things beyond the stars. Their plot drives the pirate captains. Their motive isn’t gold. It’s waking something up... Your role? A captain-in-the-making and a crewmate worth taking! A wildcard who might save the archipelago... or feed it to the deep. This is an adventure for all skill levels! In the world of Nytheris, four great kingdoms once waged endless war:     Aurevyn, Kingdom of the Stars     Velarune, Kingdom of the Veil     Olyssakar, Kingdom of the Deep Waters     Averinthia, Kingdom of the Emerald Flame From their founding to the fall of countless minor realms, war was their language. Each sought to claim dominion over Nytheris. Just as Aurevyn prepared to deliver the final blow and unite the land under starlight, the skies blackened. A new land appeared on the edge of existence a country of absolute darkness. No stars. No sun. No name. Just a pull. A whisper. A hunger. Scouts were sent. They returned blind, babbling, mad. Yet in their madness were whispers, fragments of forgotten truths. For the first time in known history, the four kingdoms set aside their hatred. Together, they formed an alliance to explore this unnatural land, hoping to unlock its secrets. But once inside, they found horror. Light barely held back the dark. Creatures thought long gone or never real moved in the shadows. Time unraveled. Memory twisted. And the truth they sought may cost them more than war ever did. $20 per session the session zero and 1 are free  https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmo37x79400yhla04jx9bkge6?ref=clxg3ws7o0000rd1dw3ynzi2f

Link to apply at bottom of description.  Time and Date: MST. 3 possible days/time ranges:  Monday Bi-Weekly @ 5pm-8m Friday Weekly @ 5pm-8pm Sunday Weekly @ 2:30pm-9pm Session length: 3-4 hours average DMing style: casual, relaxed roleplay & story focused, long campaign, ≈4 years of experience Starting level: 1 Required platforms: Discord Voice, Roll20, DnD Beyond Banned Races: • Human • Dwarf • Elf • Half-Elf • Gnome • Halfling • Goblin • Hobgoblin Content warning: As given in the module; **This book explores mature themes, including sexual content, suicide, light nudity, graphic violence, and crucifixions.** Player Homebrew: Allowed with DM approval Story: The grind of heavy wheels against the gritty trail grows more tiresome with each step as you slog on, weary and parched. The loud rush of the nearby salt river mocks you, its waters undrinkable. Suddenly, the soldiers around you clutch their spears, alert. A hauntingly beautiful melody fills the air—a hymn that evokes memories of a distant home, laced with the promise of death. Then, a large rock crashes down from the treeline, killing a soldier instantly. The melody twists into shrill screeches, andthe grind of heavy wheels is replaced by the clash of steel. Minotaurs and harpies swoop in, aiming to seize the barrels of water you were sworn to protect. This is life outside of Al’Kirat, where water is precious, no road is safe, and death lurks around every corner. The setting for Sands of Doom takes place in the Torn Lands, a land devastated by a catastrophic event two thousand years ago. This calamity obliterated its inhabitants, leaving behind a cursed, desolate Wasteland. Today, it is a tainted realm filled with savage creatures, vast deserts, and the remnants of ancient civilizations. Only exiles and beasts reside here, cast out from more 'civilized' territories. The adventure begins in Kirat, a region located on the westernmost edge of the Torn Lands. In this harsh region, beastfolk and tieflings struggle for survival and control over dwindling sources of water. Meanwhile, an endless stretch of cursed dunes slowly and meticulously advances from the east, where terrifying monsters and undead wander its tainted red sands. Notes: This module is survival-heavy, days, food, water, ammunition, and spell components will all need to be tracked. Planning and preparing for the travel will be crucial, and if you dont plan well enough there very well may be consequences that come. My name is Phrough (pronounced 'Frog'), and I'm starting up a new campaign that started with the level 1-11 module Sands of Doom, and after the module is complete, it will be a homebrew adventure to level 20. I've previously DMed several 1 and 2 shots, as well as a nearly weekly 4 year long campaign that came to a close recently, and now I want to do another, if you want to know anything about me feel free to dm me with your questions. I'm looking for either 4 or 5 players for a weekly game, as I already have one from the previous campaign of mine that wants to play in this one, with my only requirement being that you are at/over the age of 18. Game time is not set in stone yet, but we are looking at it being Sunday afternoon to evening, Monday evening bi-weekly, or Friday evening as those are the times my current player is best available. If this is a game that might interest you please fill out the form attached, and I'll get back to you if I have any questions or to let you know you're accepted. This post will be open for applications up to March 13th, allowing for anyone enough time to apply to play, once the 4 or 5 are selected then a session 0 will be planned. https://forms.gle/cf8o9J5K6qmBABP59

Paid game Paid game
The Sea of Fallen Stars appears calm and warm by day, but its depths are littered with shipwrecks - by no coincidence. Captains and their crews whisper about Nightgales, a disaster born out of thin air that drags ships down in mere hours and disappears without a trace. Those are, of course, most likely just tales; there are monsters, slavers, and pirate fleets enough to explain lost crews. You are aboard the Cinnamon as protection against such dangers, when a thunderous "CRACK" jolts you from your night's rest. The air in the hold is suddenly cold and damp, but there is a scream from above: "Company to the starboard!". Time to take arms and earn your keep. And maybe throw in the prayer that water beneath your feet will stop rising. System: DnD 5e; Setting: Faerûn / Forgotten Realms; Character Level: 1. Payment: 25$ per person. About the Dungeon master: I'm Julia, a Ukrainian TTRPG GM since 2018, GMing online since 2022. Most campaigns have been played in D&D 5e, and several in Vampire: The Masquerade, Changeling: The Lost, and Blades in the Dark. I prefer character-driven narratives with grittier political subplots, but still with a good amount of combat and shenanigans™ Contact me to register. (This sunday 26.04.2026 at 1 p.m.)

If we can't find a dm, i'd likely homebrew a sandbox world, very fast and loose, kinda game where warforged and guns can exist if you walk far enough and you could probably run into cavemen walking far enough the other if you so please. Looking for a group

Heya! I’m Marlow (17, They/Them) and I’m honestly looking for a group and DM whose willing to let me join their table! At this time, I’m unfortunately only free on Tuesdays which I know is a bit of an awkward time, but I at least wanted to try! I’m really searching for an even blend of combat and roleplay and I am always open to seeing where a homebrew world leads us. I typically play more spellcasters, but I am always looking for an excuse to step out of my comfort zone. I have been playing since I was around 13/14 years old, so I am rather familiar with most rules! I still might mess up on a few things however. I have a deep love for 3rd party content, to the point that I always try to sprinkle a bit of it within my character if it is allowed! Since I’m still in school, I would prefer if it was later in the day on Tuesday (start time like 7-8 PM EST.) I am familiar with roll20, D&D beyond, and mostly use discord for communication. I would rather see the composition of the group beforehand, but I do have some general character ideas. My discord is epit0meofimmagration and I hope you all have an amazing day!
