Homebrew

Roleplay focused
Hi all! Lovely to meet you. My name is Caleb and I might be your new GM.
Sundered is the name for my new campaign setting, which I am hoping to flesh out with a multi-shot with you. 3-6 sessions is most likely for this.
Important details about you and the game:
- 25+ minimum. our table are mostly 30's and 40's.
- have a good mic and headset, and mute if you have loud pets/children/etc.
- strong roleplaying skills. Looking for players who prioritize staying in character.
- I am a lenient DM with character backstory vibes and like a good, dark, even traumatized backstory. But whatever your character has going on, you must be wanting and willing to play with the group and for the collective objective.
- we are prioritizing diverse applications. we have a mixture of identities and backgrounds in our group.
We're looking for 2 players at this time!
Please register your interest using the Google Form link. I will reach out to anyone who feels like they might fit the group dynamic to discuss further. Thanks!

The hook (brief):
In the year 13,912, the first piece of land broke away. Now, exactly one year later, cracks have started to form across every single continent. The only land spared, it seems, is the floating city of Uthrika, but those cranky old birds wouldn't tell us land-dwellers if they had discovered a third moon.
Nobody knows what to do. They're calling it "The Sundering," and the churches are spiralling out of control. Reports from all continents have been rolling in, confirming what we know: land is sinking. But that's not all. Some land is rising! Rising! At this rate, young Prince Lahdah'han won't have a title to inherit...
King Rath'un is sending that group of elites out next week. The Ebony Riders. They're usually dispatched when there are critical threats on our doorstep, but now he's sending them out to investigate one of the cracks. It runs straight through the Raindrop, that blasted jungle. The black wyverns won't get very far on the ground out there, but my advice fell on deaf ears. Rath'un knows what he's doing. I hope.
You are an Ebony Rider: one of the kingdom's elite wyvern riders. Whatever brought you to this kingdom, your skills and loyalty earned you a place in King Rath'un's best. Together with your fellow riders, you are tasked to investigate where the land has split through Raindrop jungle. You have been given full authority to handle any threats how you see fit. The only specific order he has given you is to make sure you return to him.
