Hello, I am fairly new to dnd and lfg 18 and older.  I'd like to play a fairy (WBTW) druid with some homebrew to the things I can transform into if the dm approves. I also am only available nights on fri but would  preferably like to play sat around 7 pm PST. I have made some characters like a druid fairy and barbarian triton.  I'd like to join a game that's mixed of combat (to level up) and role playing. I want to learn more on how to do combat while having fun and immersing myself into another world or world of fantasy. 😉

We are a beginner-friendly D&D Discord community with over 70 members, originally created to help new players get into D&D without having to pay for anything. You've heard it before: eternal DM wants to finally get a chance to be a player and has a million and one character ideas up their sleeve to do so. I love 5e (2014 and 2024 versions are both fine) and have been itching to get back into it now that I've managed to get some more free-time in my schedule. I'm very familiar with the rules and most source material, enjoy a good homebrew or modules (no preference), and have equal experience/interest in RP and combat. I'm familiar with online play over Discord / Roll20 / D&DBeyond / etc. and am a quick learner so anything new is also not a problem. While I love all aspects of DND - role play, exploring and combat - I find my favourite games are those that more or less balanced between the three. Hi! I've been rolling dice and making questionable decisions for about 14 years. I come from a background in voice acting and improv, which means I will absolutely give my characters distinct voices, accidentally make an NPC into everyone's favorite character, and fully commit to the bit. My favorite part of D&D is roleplay. I love character-driven stories, meaningful party dynamics, heartfelt conversations around the campfire, and the occasional emotional gut punch that everyone talks about for weeks afterward. If the campaign gives us a chance to become a found family with a mountain of inside jokes, I'm all in. Outside of roleplay, I'm a friendly, collaborative player who's here to help everyone have a good time. I enjoy sharing the spotlight, cheering on other players' big moments, and creating scenes that everyone at the table can have fun with. Basically, if you're looking for someone who will enthusiastically say "Yes, and...", stay in character, and probably make you laugh with a ridiculous voice before making you unexpectedly emotional five minutes later, we'll probably get along great.

Hi there!  I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against.  I'm in your world now.  I love homebrews and I'm looking for a sandbox game with an experienced GM who understands and values player agency. Play Style:  I'm serious about having fun.  I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand.  I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters as much for for the GM and other players are they are for me. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story.  I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road.  I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules.  I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session.   Don't ask me for a character concept until I have some understanding of the campaign lore.  I like to create characters that feel part of the world. Themes:  I'm less interested in horror, more interested in high fantasy settings. Experience: I was first introduced to DnD5e online at the front end of the pandemic and have played multiple games since then.  I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice now and forever is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond.  I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13.  I have my own Foundry server currently running v14 with no particular end in mind. Prefered Times:  I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time.  North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely.  I'm available any day except Thu and Sat.   My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours.  I'm not adverse to longer sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. My Setup:  I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain.  I don't use a web cam. Objective:  I'm looking forward to meeting new people, making new online friends and either joining a fresh campaign or fitting in to one already in progress.  If we're a good fit, I'll stick around for multiple campaigns.  I'm in this for the long haul. Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror genre. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors, librarians looking for eldritch tomes, and tomb raiding archaeologists. When I GM, I lean towards Rule of Cool, and I favor players who invest creativity in their characters. I am a 22 M who is relatively new to dnd. I've only played a Star Wars campaign with my brothers in law (and BG3 but that probably doesn't count), so I'd definitely consider myself a noob. I'm also a college student, so my scheduling may be a little unpredictable (particularly in the start of the fall while I'm figuring out a routine), but once I get a routine in I'd likely be able to work with it. I also own tabletop simulator on steam. My favorite classes are warlocks, rogues, and fighters (and I want to eventually try a ranger), so those classes or some combination would probably be what I'd end up playing. However, I currently have a folk horror undead sorlock in the mind vault that I'm the most antsy to try out.

I have been playing D&D since 2017 starting with 5e and dabbled in Vampire the Masquerade and Powered by the Apocalypse games. For time slot: I am for sure available on Thursday-Saturday anytime after 7:00pm U.S. CST. For characters, I tend to play spellcasters/support and I'm have three characters concepts in mind: an aasimar divination wizard, or a human or half-elf necromancer wizard (if UA is allowed), and a human or aasimar grave cleric, or a drow glamor bard or shadow sorcerer. I'm looking for a more roleplay focused group rather than a combat one (70/30 or 60/40 depending on the game). I'm open to any of the pre-written campaigns and some homebrew campaigns. I prefer a good balance of combat and roleplay; so I'm not really into dungeon-crawls (all combat, no roleplay), but also not interested in political intrigue either (all roleplay, no combat). I'm available most of the week; just can't do Sundays, or evenings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (I'm in US Central Time). I would prefer weekly games, and I will not join paid games. I consider myself an intermediate player, but only about half of my experience is actually playing. There's been a long stretch of time that I haven't played, but I've still been reading all sorts of D&D stuff and hyperfixating on different things. Because of this, I have a lot of ideas of classes I'd like to play, while I've only actually played a handful. My current idea is to try out sorcerer, but paladin and warlock seem cool too. I also just started watching Rigamaroll, and I'm fascinated by the Daggerheart system, so I'd love to try that as well.

I've been playing D&D for around 5 years, although I've only ever played with my IRL friends. Unfortunately, everyone's schedules have gotten busier, so I'm finally making an effort to find a new group because I really miss playing! Hey! I'm Tomb, a (technically) 6 year DND player (on and off and with a lot of "rule of cool" tables so not a veteran) looking for a game for Sunday Nights usually starting around 8 EST (though my schedule will probably open soon!) Im a storyteller at heart, with a big focus on worldbuilding, lore, and character driven narratives. I like getting into the depths of the worlds history and seeing what makes it tick while playing with harsh backstories that loom like shadows over the players, but I tend to shy away from GrimDark, I like some hope with my whump please! None of that means I don't like combat though, combat plays a really important part in a lot of stories and can be interesting in their own right! I do know a lot of the rules for DND 5e, I've been watching actual plays long enough to have picked up on the rules, but I prefer Homebrew over RAW and Rule of Cool over Rules Lawyering I'm a huge fan of actual plays, namely Campaign 2 of critical role, Dimension 20s Misfits and Magic, A Court of Fey and Flowers, and The Seven, a small one shot campaign called World's Apart, and the beginning half of Godsfall (before the cast imploded) Literature wise I'm an avid reader of high fantasy, Eragon being my favorite series, along with Harry Potter (fuck terfs), and a niche Midgrade series called Avalon: Web of Magic! TL;DR in the DMs Guide Player Types: Im an Explorer, a Problem Solver, and a Storyteller, but I'm more than willing to hit something along the way, i prefer Homebrew and Rule of Cool over RAW, and i want some found family/hope with my hard story beats! I hope to tell amazing stories together 💛

I'm someone who can be a little reserved at first, but I tend to use humor to break the ice and will eventually become a chatterbox once I warm up to people. I'm a jax of all trades when it comes to creative stuff (drawing, painting, crafting, writing, roleplaying, etc.) and usually like to incorporate that into my campaigns! some of my favorite past and present media are project hail mary, arcane, bg3, phantom of the opera, hannibal (the tv series), and bands like my chemical romance, sleep token, and will wood. experience  I've been listening to and watching d&d campaigns for the better part of a decade, with a year and a half of in-person play and a little under a year of online play, though I'm in a couple ongoing campaigns at the moment! I'm most familiar with discord for voice and roll20 as a VTT but have experience using d&d beyond too. I've never played a non-d&d system but would be open to learning! playstyle I love lore and character/world building! roleplay, backstories, exploration, puzzle solving, political intrigue, discovering the mysteries of the universe, etc. are my favorite ways to get invested. the longer the lore doc the better, in my opinion!  my playstyle is very narrative and roleplay focused. exploring the world and developing characters are the core foundations of any good d&d game for me. I love to embody my characters and put them through tough scenarios to see how they'll navigate and learn from the challenges, and to make the good moments in the campaign feel well deserved! I also like to take the lead during problem solving scenarios, like figuring out puzzles, making a plan of action, or piecing together a mystery. I love taking notes too, and will average about 800-1200 words of creative writing style notes per session that I always share with everyone! with that being said, I do believe combat is a great way to enhance and/or further the story, especially when everyone is descriptive with their actions. depending on session length, I'd prefer to have some kind of combat at least once every other session, though this is pretty flexible. availability I'm located in EST and currently only available on fridays and saturdays, though I can do any time for sessions as long as it ends before midnight EST.

Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time.  I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone.  I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight.  I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd.  So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me.  I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. That has been an issue before. I've never done paid pbp before but if the quality of the campaign, and set up, and pace is good enough I have no issue helping with a few dollars to the gm

Mostly i have been stuck being the forever DM but have been playng recetly myself.  I generally as a DM enjoy a lot of different style of games  from crunching numbers and tactical combat to more lighthearted or serious roleplay. More keen of the classical dnd advanterous style of gameplay myself. I love running serious stories but cant stop to crack some lighthearted jokes here and there. My main focus tho regardless of what game, theme or wolrd I am running, are the players and their characters. The main force that shakes the story and keeps things intrigueing. I love delving in and exploring the backstories and integrating them in the main plot of the campaign(and im a firm believer that should be the standard for most games)

Hi, I am Memlo, 18 years old and male  .... I started DnD few years ago but then stopped as the group broken down. Fast froward to now I am DM in my school DND club. I have a few oneshots behind me and one campaign, otherwise I was the player. Still some rules are vague to me so I apologise forward if I get smth wrong. Also I played mostly online except this year where I DMed in person but on a blackboard. I would be available mostly on weekends or during week after 19pm every day. I love homebrew content, for races like the Demi-dragon homebrew book, items or monsters. I am a real dragon lover btw. I used dnd beyond for monster characters but for the campaigns online I used Owlbear.
