You've heard it before: eternal DM wants to finally get a chance to be a player and has a million and one character ideas up their sleeve to do so. I love 5e (2014 and 2024 versions are both fine) and have been itching to get back into it now that I've managed to get some more free-time in my schedule. While I love all aspects of DND - role play, exploring and combat - I find my favourite games are those that more or less balanced between the three. Hello, there!  I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). My window of availability is between 6 AM and 11:30 AM, and between 2 PM and 10:30 PM, CET times. I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I'm committed, invested in the story and a note-taker, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come into a campaign with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

I prefer sessions in the afternoon/evening (EST) that run between 3-5 hours long. Player info: I'm more roleplay oriented and like a 70/30 split of roleplay to combat. I tend not to create very lore dense backgrounds, instead focusing on interesting character arcs/dilemmas. I love immersing myself in a world and getting invested in the plot, brainstorming interactions between my characters and the other players, etc. I'm okay with characters dying in reasonable circumstances/with narrative buildup. I have a few character concepts ready that I'm more than willing to tailor to your story! I'm fairly new to the game, mostly unfamilar with combat mechanics, but I have a decent understanding of player etiquette. I like campaigns with an overarching plot that can be influenced by player input to some extent, similar to a series of bus stops as oppossed to a railroad/sandbox. Some dealbreakers: -Explicit sexual content (romantic plot lines and fade to blacks are okay) -Generative Ai to create art, maps, and writing, from both players and DM Thanks for reading! Hi there!  I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against.  I'm in your world now.  I love homebrews and I'm looking for a sandbox game with an experienced GM who understands and values player agency. Play Style:  I'm serious about having fun.  I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand.  I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters as much for for the GM and other players are they are for me. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story.  I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road.  I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules.  I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session.   Don't ask me for a character concept until I have some understanding of the campaign lore.  I like to create characters that feel part of the world. Themes:  I'm less interested in horror, more interested in high fantasy settings. Experience: I was first introduced to DnD5e online at the front end of the pandemic and have played multiple games since then.  I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice now and forever is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond.  I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13.  I have my own Foundry server currently running v14 with no particular end in mind. Prefered Times:  I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time.  North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely.  I'm available any day except Thu and Sat.   My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours.  I'm not adverse to longer sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. My Setup:  I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain.  I don't use a web cam. Objective:  I'm looking forward to meeting new people, making new online friends and either joining a fresh campaign or fitting in to one already in progress.  If we're a good fit, I'll stick around for multiple campaigns.  I'm in this for the long haul. I am a 22 M who is relatively new to dnd. I've only played a Star Wars campaign with my brothers in law (and BG3 but that probably doesn't count), so I'd definitely consider myself a noob. I'm also a college student, so my scheduling may be a little unpredictable (particularly in the start of the fall while I'm figuring out a routine), but once I get a routine in I'd likely be able to work with it. I also own tabletop simulator on steam. My favorite classes are warlocks, rogues, and fighters (and I want to eventually try a ranger), so those classes or some combination would probably be what I'd end up playing. However, I currently have a folk horror undead sorlock in the mind vault that I'm the most antsy to try out.

Hi! I'm Tako, I'm 25, and I just graduated from university. I'm from Texas, and some of my biggest hobbies are anime, video games, baking, TTRPGs, history, and, of course, sleeping. I've been playing D&D for around 7... maybe 8 years now? It's honestly been so long that I've lost count, but it's become one of my favorite hobbies. As for quirks, I definitely have a few. I have ADHD and dyslexia, so I can be a little scatterbrained at times, but I promise I mean well! Dislikes are mostly the obvious stuff—people being mean or rude. I also have two very important food opinions: oatmeal raisin cookies are a crime, and pineapple absolutely does not belong on pizza (spawn of the devil). I also prefer to avoid politics entirely, and I'm not a fan of AI being used for character references or story writing. One fun fact about me is that I can make tiramisu completely from scratch, which I'm pretty proud of! My favorite animal is the lion. When it comes to D&D, I absolutely love melee characters. There's just something satisfying about charging into the thick of a fight. That said, I'm trying to branch out and play more spellcasters to expand my comfort zone. No matter what I play, though, I tend to enjoy characters who serve as a light in the darkness—people who try to inspire hope even when everything seems bleak. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! I am currently wanting to find a group who enjoys both serious and fun moments for games! I have been playing D&D since 2017 starting with 5e and dabbled in Vampire the Masquerade and Powered by the Apocalypse games. For time slot: I am for sure available on Thursday-Saturday anytime after 7:00pm U.S. CST. Greetings! I'm Micah. I prefer a good balance of combat and roleplay; so I'm not really into dungeon-crawls (all combat, no roleplay), but also not interested in political intrigue either (all roleplay, no combat). I'm available most of the week; just can't do Sundays, or evenings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (I'm in US Central Time). I would prefer weekly games, and I will not join paid games. I consider myself an intermediate player, but only about half of my experience is actually playing. I've been playing D&D for around 5 years, although I've only ever played with my IRL friends. Unfortunately, everyone's schedules have gotten busier, so I'm finally making an effort to find a new group because I really miss playing! I've been cursed with the "Forever DM" curse! 😂 I've spent a lot of time DMing and I genuinely love it, but I've been craving the chance to actually be a player for once D&D is the religion i was raised on, but my personal favorite system is actually Marvel Multiverse RPG. I'm generally happy to try different TTRPG systems, though, I love Daggerheart, Fate and Vieja Escuela I'll play on Discord voice chat. Hello! My name is Sleepy. I am 22 years old and a gender-fluid (AFAB) player that is searching a group to join. My schedule is very flexible, so I can play almost any day or time. By the way, English is not my first language (I speak it fluently though) and I have an accent that I can't get rid of. I have lots of experience playing DnD (and a little bit of other TTRPGs) and was often described as a 'dream player' by my other DMs, because I create interesting characters, let DMs have fun with them and be heavily invested in the lore, creating theories, connecting dots and catching hints like an eagle catching a ball from that one meme. My play style? Love both the role playing aspect and fighting, but I love building a beautiful story with other players the most. I don't fight for spotlight and don't mind others having their moments, sometimes holding a supporting role for a long time. I, myself, love playing a long game with my characters, so I can hold on to my character's secret for years (been there, done that). As for equipment, I have a good mic and a webcam. I rarely cancel DnD sessions unless I absolutely can't attend (so sick that I can't get out of bed, have a flight, etc). I am also pretty open to talking to my party outside DnD, discussing characters, creating content for the party/characters, playing video games and so on.

Hey! I'm Tomb, a (technically) 6 year DND player (on and off and with a lot of "rule of cool" tables so not a veteran) looking for a game for Sunday Nights usually starting around 8 EST (though my schedule will probably open soon!) Im a storyteller at heart, with a big focus on worldbuilding, lore, and character driven narratives. I like getting into the depths of the worlds history and seeing what makes it tick while playing with harsh backstories that loom like shadows over the players, but I tend to shy away from GrimDark, I like some hope with my whump please! None of that means I don't like combat though, combat plays a really important part in a lot of stories and can be interesting in their own right! I do know a lot of the rules for DND 5e, I've been watching actual plays long enough to have picked up on the rules, but I prefer Homebrew over RAW and Rule of Cool over Rules Lawyering I'm a huge fan of actual plays, namely Campaign 2 of critical role, Dimension 20s Misfits and Magic, A Court of Fey and Flowers, and The Seven, a small one shot campaign called World's Apart, and the beginning half of Godsfall (before the cast imploded) Literature wise I'm an avid reader of high fantasy, Eragon being my favorite series, along with Harry Potter (fuck terfs), and a niche Midgrade series called Avalon: Web of Magic! TL;DR in the DMs Guide Player Types: Im an Explorer, a Problem Solver, and a Storyteller, but I'm more than willing to hit something along the way, i prefer Homebrew and Rule of Cool over RAW, and i want some found family/hope with my hard story beats! Hi! I'm a new-ish DnD player who is looking to join my first proper campaign! (I've played a couple of DnD 1-shots, a mini-campaign and dabbled in some Pirate Borg before). I am comfortable with playing with adults and/or older players, however I'm a minor (<18), and while finding a campaign to play is my priority, I'm really just looking for some more DnD experience, I'm willing to play or playtest anything you throw at me, weather a 1-Shot or a DnD campaign. I prefer RP focused campaigns, and character creation is my favourite part of DnD. One pattern I find myself falling into in character creation is subverting the expectations or sterotypes surrounding a class and contrasting that with the characters backstory (For example, maybe a Rogue who believes their criminal actions give opportunities for good to shine, and thus they are truly in the right). I also am likely going to give my character a unique character voice. Of course, I still love combat, and in combat my favourite role to play is either support or defending the squishy members of my party. I'l adapt my Class based on the others in my party. Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany.  I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future.  Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player.  In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.
