I'll write a bit about me very soon. But since this is going live now, breifly - I'd love to find a Sheffield-based game (and from summer I will be looking to run some games). And I'd be very happy to play a bit of online too (especially an Alien RPG campaign, something I've looking to play for for a while, and DCC Lankhmar). I love roleplaying-focused games. VERY and i mean, VERY new to dnd, would like to join sessions that start around 4:00 pm, so that i could schedule it to fit with my gym sessions, so it'd be nice to time it :3 (I can join anything, even the weird ones so its okay for me)

I'm Daniel, a 28yo dude looking to play either online or in person in the Minden, Nevada area. Can play pretty much any time on Wednesdays, preferably every other week. Looking for group and DM to play with that meets consistantly for a long term game. Experience: Been playing D&D on and off since maybe 2016, and have DM'd several games, though I'm looking to just be a player. Most of my experience is with 3.5e, though I'm farely familiar with 5e and have played a few one shots. I've also played Pathfinder 1e. Note that I haven't played anything in a few years now, so I may be a little rusty. I'm mostly looking to play D&D5e with some 2024 content, as I quite like some of the stuff they've done with the races, classes, and backgrounds. I don't know that I want to play a module. I'd rather play in a homebrew game, whether set in the Forgotten Realms or a similar setting. Class/Race Preferences: I love Warlocks and Necromancers first and foremost. Other classes I enjoy are Rogue, Paladin, and Critical Role's Blood Hunter, as well as Druids. As for races, I love Tieflings, Aasimar, Drow, but am also down to play a simple human from time to time if it fits the character I wanna make. At the moment I've got an idea for Chthonic Tiefling GOOlock that I'm itching to play. Role Play/Combat: My favorite games I've been in were pretty heavy in RP and made me feel an emotional connection to the player characters. At the same time, I do enjoy combat and enjoy the power fantasy of playing strong characters (though I'm also very into making an aesthetically/thematically pleasing character that may not be as strong as they could be). When it comes to combat, I don't like games where every combat encounter is Dark Souls the TTRPG. I don't mind a challenging encounter that makes me think tactically, or even the occasional encounter that isn't meant to be won, but when every encounter feels like the party is severely out-matched, that's when it stops being fun (I've been in one of those kinds of games). As I mentioned before, I do enjoy a good power fantasy, so balancing challenging encounters with some that are a breeze and make the players feel bad-ass, is the way to go for me. General Content: I like high and dark fantasy, horror, epic stories, emotional connections between characters. While I tend to lean toward serious characters and stories, comedic relief is more than welcome (and generally inevitable in my experience). Adult Content: I'm fine with mature themes if everyone else is.

Hello my name is Zach im 31 years old and I have been playing dnd a little over 3 years and have been dming for over a year and a half! Im always looking for those that would like to play or learn and I love creating experiences for everyone involved!

Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

Hello! Forever DM here looking to stretch my legs and experience other people's worlds as an actual player. I have around 10 years on and off experience playing and running tabletop games. I've ran almost all the modern "popular" systems at least once and some systems like Lancer and Hc Svnt Dracones here and there. Likewise, I've played several with my very first being things like Deadlands and Star Wars EotG. As a result, this kind of makes 5e feel a bit empty to me, one of the few reasons I struggle to find games especially with my off times frame of availability. I prefer systems that either go all in on narrative abilities like WoD and Cypher or systems with a ton of crunch and deep builds like Pathfinder, Lancer, and Ars Magica. (though that last one I have never actually gotten a session in) I am typically an exploration and Roleplay focused player with a love of combat though I typically prefer it in bursts rather than it being the some focus UNLESS that was the pitch and we're playing a borderline war game with roleplay interludes. Even then... I like there to be those roleplay interludes and prefer DMs who enjoy them too rather than begrudgingly adding them. My availability is typically past 9PM MST all the way up to 1-2PM the next say, or 2100-1400 for you military time folks, Monday through Wednesday. I CAN make it on weekends but only late at night my time since I'll be at work and that will be a factor in my interactions.

I've been a forver dm for homebrew campaigns for around 4-5 years now and am yearning to be a player to play chaotic or mysterious characters. Owlbear rodeo and Dnd beyond for VTT, and I use Dnd beyond for character sheets usually. So my typical campaign rulings are 5e or 5.5e. Hi I'm Melga! (he/they) I'm 27, from Brazil, and I've been GMing Call of Cthulhu since 2020. As a Keeper I've done mostly smaller adventures and one shots but as a player I've done some big campaigns too. Roleplaying is my favorite aspect of TTRPGs and I love horror/thriller stories, so I knew this system was gonna be my favorite when I started. I tend to GM things with a "fuck around and find out" approach but always with the story and overall enjoyment in mind. Meaning: I'm very open to whatever ideas a player has, love improvised/creative solutions, I'm somewhat rules light, but don't expect me to don't give consequences if you tried to do something stupid and the dice are against you lol. So if you're a bit chaotic we're probably gonna click. As a player I usually like to interact with NPCs and players, so investigation through roleplaying. In DnD I enjoy combat too, but for sure prefer the worldbuilding and exploring things with a party.
