Hello, I am fairly new to dnd and lfg 18 and older. I'd like to play a fairy (WBTW) druid with some homebrew to the things I can transform into if the dm approves. I also am only available nights on fri but would preferably like to play sat around 7 pm PST. I have made some characters like a druid fairy and barbarian triton. I'd like to join a game that's mixed of combat (to level up) and role playing. You've heard it before: eternal DM wants to finally get a chance to be a player and has a million and one character ideas up their sleeve to do so. I love 5e (2014 and 2024 versions are both fine) and have been itching to get back into it now that I've managed to get some more free-time in my schedule. I'm very familiar with the rules and most source material, enjoy a good homebrew or modules (no preference), and have equal experience/interest in RP and combat. I'm familiar with online play over Discord / Roll20 / D&DBeyond / etc. and am a quick learner so anything new is also not a problem. I'm located on the east coast (so est/edt), am in my 30s and am primarily available all day Mondays and Tuesdays, but can make other days/times work depending on what they are. Hi I'm Edward. I'm an older player, been playing for about 4 years. While I love all aspects of DND - role play, exploring and combat - I find my favourite games are those that more or less balanced between the three. I love games that are challenging with lots of difficult choices and lean in to the party working together with the DM to create a story. I would grab at an opportunity to play in person but I've tried gaming clubs and find I can't get on with the volume of players and noise. I am looking for campaigns that play on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. I've been playing D&D for around 5 years, although I've only ever played with my IRL friends. Unfortunately, everyone's schedules have gotten busier, so I'm finally making an effort to find a new group because I really miss playing! I've been cursed with the "Forever DM" curse! 😂 I've spent a lot of time DMing and I genuinely love it, but I've been craving the chance to actually be a player for once D&D is the religion i was raised on, but my personal favorite system is actually Marvel Multiverse RPG. I'm generally happy to try different TTRPG systems, though, I love Daggerheart, Fate and Vieja Escuela I'll play on Discord voice chat. By the way, English is not my first language (I speak it fluently though) and I have an accent that I can't get rid of. I have lots of experience playing DnD (and a little bit of other TTRPGs) and was often described as a 'dream player' by my other DMs, because I create interesting characters, let DMs have fun with them and be heavily invested in the lore, creating theories, connecting dots and catching hints like an eagle catching a ball from that one meme. My play style? Love both the role playing aspect and fighting, but I love building a beautiful story with other players the most. I don't fight for spotlight and don't mind others having their moments, sometimes holding a supporting role for a long time. I, myself, love playing a long game with my characters, so I can hold on to my character's secret for years (been there, done that). As for equipment, I have a good mic and a webcam. I rarely cancel DnD sessions unless I absolutely can't attend (so sick that I can't get out of bed, have a flight, etc). I am also pretty open to talking to my party outside DnD, discussing characters, creating content for the party/characters, playing video games and so on.

Hi! I'm Alice and VtM is my all time favorite ttrpg and I really, really want to play again. Back in 2013, I played Vampire the Requiem for the first time and **loved it**. After that, my group moved on to V5 and I've been a die hard anarch ever since. My favorite ever character I had was Hannah the Gangrel. She and her coterie managed to survive a year-long campaign, so I consider her a great success. As a player, I enjoy making characters that are the opposite of me in some way. Take Hannah, she was strong, impulsive and violent, which personally I could never. In DnD, I greatly enjoyed playing a deeply religious and devout Paladin, bound by all sorts of oaths and codes. I'd be willing to commute for an in person game on Sjæland, as long as public transport is easily accessible. So Copenhagen, Roskilde, Køge, anywhere with a train station. For online games, I've made it work before with a 6 hour difference and I'm willing to do it again. I work crappy hours anyway, so I will absolutely stay up late to have some fun playing pretend with strangers on the internet. IRL, I'm in my 30s, working as a cook at a fancy restaurant and have decided I need to get back into my favorite hobbies and cultivate more of a social life. I have no problems playing with new people to the game, and in-fact I quite enjoy the new ideas they come up with. I don't have much experience as a game master, but if the game master so wishes it; I can help new people in-between sessions learn the rules that the game master wants us too know. I might be a bit quirky when I meet new people, but that typically goes away pretty quickly and I become pretty easy too talk to. At the moment I am in-between jobs, however I am financially stable and am just looking for a fun experience with possible future friends.

Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.

I'm someone who can be a little reserved at first, but I tend to use humor to break the ice and will eventually become a chatterbox once I warm up to people. I'm a jax of all trades when it comes to creative stuff (drawing, painting, crafting, writing, roleplaying, etc.) and usually like to incorporate that into my campaigns! some of my favorite past and present media are project hail mary, arcane, bg3, phantom of the opera, hannibal (the tv series), and bands like my chemical romance, sleep token, and will wood. experience I've been listening to and watching d&d campaigns for the better part of a decade, with a year and a half of in-person play and a little under a year of online play, though I'm in a couple ongoing campaigns at the moment! I'm most familiar with discord for voice and roll20 as a VTT but have experience using d&d beyond too. I've never played a non-d&d system but would be open to learning! playstyle I love lore and character/world building! roleplay, backstories, exploration, puzzle solving, political intrigue, discovering the mysteries of the universe, etc. are my favorite ways to get invested. the longer the lore doc the better, in my opinion! my playstyle is very narrative and roleplay focused. exploring the world and developing characters are the core foundations of any good d&d game for me. I love to embody my characters and put them through tough scenarios to see how they'll navigate and learn from the challenges, and to make the good moments in the campaign feel well deserved! I also like to take the lead during problem solving scenarios, like figuring out puzzles, making a plan of action, or piecing together a mystery. I love taking notes too, and will average about 800-1200 words of creative writing style notes per session that I always share with everyone! with that being said, I do believe combat is a great way to enhance and/or further the story, especially when everyone is descriptive with their actions. depending on session length, I'd prefer to have some kind of combat at least once every other session, though this is pretty flexible. availability I'm located in EST and currently only available on fridays and saturdays, though I can do any time for sessions as long as it ends before midnight EST.

I'm a 38 year old Irish male looking to get into DnD. I've played a few games but I'm pretty new.

Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time. I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone. I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight. I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd. So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me. I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. That has been an issue before. I've never done paid pbp before but if the quality of the campaign, and set up, and pace is good enough I have no issue helping with a few dollars to the gm

Greetings all! I have been playing TTRPGs on and off for 25 years and although I am naturally more combat-focused, I have been wanting to improve my roleplaying skills a bit more. Not that I think I am awful at roleplay, but we all have room for improvement and that just feels like the skill I could do better in. I started out GM'ing and have been ran probably 60-75% of the campaigns I have been involved in, so I am very open to either a player or GM role. Right now I am just looking to have fun, so i am not looking to pay or be paid to play a game right now. Maybe if I have time in the future, I will start doing "professional" gamemastering, but as of right now I am just looking for a group to have fun with and build a mutually enjoyable world together. I am a US veteran on the ace spectrum, queer and a trans woman. I will always be curteous and kind to all, except anyone that just generally doesn't believe that ALL individuals should be treated with the same level of dignity and respect. I am wholly intolerant toward intolerance.

I'm Daniel, a 28yo dude looking to play either online or in person in the Minden, Nevada area. Can play pretty much any time on Wednesdays, preferably every other week. Looking for group and DM to play with that meets consistantly for a long term game. Experience: Been playing D&D on and off since maybe 2016, and have DM'd several games, though I'm looking to just be a player. Most of my experience is with 3.5e, though I'm farely familiar with 5e and have played a few one shots. I've also played Pathfinder 1e. Note that I haven't played anything in a few years now, so I may be a little rusty. I'm mostly looking to play D&D5.5e/2024, as I quite like some of the stuff they've done with the races, classes, and backgrounds. I don't know that I want to play a module. I'd rather play in a homebrew game, whether set in the Forgotten Realms or a similar setting. I am also interested in some of the new Ravenloft content. Class/Race Preferences: I love Warlocks and Necromancers first and foremost, but I also enjoy rogues, druids, bladesinger wizards. Currently itching to play a Reborn GOOlock leaning heavily into some good ol' cosmic horror. Role Play/Combat: My favorite games I've been in were pretty heavy in RP and made me feel an emotional connection to the player characters. At the same time, I do enjoy combat and enjoy the power fantasy of playing strong characters (though I'm also very into making an aesthetically/thematically pleasing character that may not be as strong as they could be). When it comes to combat, I don't like games where every combat encounter is Dark Souls the TTRPG. I don't mind a challenging encounter that makes me think tactically, or even the occasional encounter that isn't meant to be won, but when every encounter feels like the party is severely out-matched, that's when it stops being fun (I've been in one of those kinds of games). As I mentioned before, I do enjoy a good power fantasy, so balancing challenging encounters with some that are a breeze and make the players feel bad-ass, is the way to go for me. General Content: I like high and dark fantasy, horror, epic stories, emotional connections between characters. While I tend to lean toward serious characters and stories, comedic relief is more than welcome (and generally inevitable in my experience). Adult Content: I'm fine with mature themes if everyone else is.

I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about a Decade now. In my time as a DM, I always had a preference for horror and high fantasy, with a special place in my heart for Curse of Strahd. When it comes to playstyle, I'm more focused on the Roleplay aspect, though I can change it up as needed. I love building characters, and over my time as a Forever DM, I have built literal hundreds of characters, most of which rarely if ever get to see the light of day. But all of them have one of my real life character traits, kicked up to 11 but I always try to play my characters seriously.

I go by Aurelius, and I’m looking for a group willing to accept my questionable morals and darker talents. I generally enjoy the company of demons, eldritch horrors, and other unsavory beings. My hobbies include long walks along brimstone cliffs overlooking seas of magma, making dubious pacts, and occasionally peering into the endless abyss just to see if it waves back. I'm a 19-year-old who has been playing Dungeons & Dragons for about six months. Even though I'm still fairly new to the game, I've really enjoyed learning the rules, exploring different roleplaying opportunities, and working with my party to overcome challenges. My favorite class is the Rogue because I enjoy a clever, tactical playstyle. I like using stealth to stay out of danger, scouting ahead for the group, and looking for creative ways to solve problems instead of rushing into every fight. In combat, I try to position myself carefully so I can take advantage of Sneak Attack and deal high damage when the opportunity presents itself. Outside of combat, I enjoy picking locks, disarming traps, and using my character's skills to help the party navigate difficult situations. Although I only have about half a year of experience with D&D, I'm always looking to improve my understanding of the game, develop better teamwork, and create memorable stories with the people I play with. I've played in a variety of games, both homebrew and existing DnD modules, and am familiar with the game's systems and workings. I have a flexible schedule though I'm usually confined to afternoons and weekends. Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Hi all, I've been playing since August of 2025 so I would still consider myself wet behind the ears with D&D, I presently have a 2024 edition PHB on hand so that's been my reference apart from wiki in my previous campaign. A little about me is I'm 35, male He/Him, positive easygoing personality, typically I'm flexible with a lot of things being asked of me so I would consider myself fairly adaptable/flexible. Some of what I've grown to love about D&D is just unwinding after work or ending the work week with a fun session catching up with the team and continuing the adventure where ever it may take us! As for my availability, I work full time through the week and with the unpredictability of overtime when it happens I would say I'm available generally after 6pm EST Monday-Thursdays. I'm available Fridays and Saturdays most times but spend weekends occasionally with my in-laws so I don't want that to be an issue when those trips pop up. That said, Sundays would be more ideal after 5pm for weekend sessions.
