TTRPG Table Fit Profile I am looking for a cooperative, consent-based, story-focused TTRPG table with about 50% roleplay, 30% combat, and 20% exploration. I enjoy character-driven storytelling, party relationships, meaningful combat, exploration, mystery, downtime, and emotional moments that feel earned rather than forced. I like games that are sincere without being too serious, and funny without becoming constant jokes or bits. Consent and boundaries are important to me. Heavy themes, major trauma themes, intense character conflict, PvP, romance/flirting, sexual content, or anything that could strongly affect another player’s character should be discussed first. Lines and veils should be respected. I fit best with people who want to tell an awesome story together, share spotlight, cooperate, listen to each other, and make sure everyone’s character matters. I am not a good fit for bigotry, discriminatory humor, main character syndrome, edgelord behavior, disruptive rules-lawyering, non-cooperative play, PvP/romance/sexual content without consent, trauma dumping, or using RPGs as therapy. As a player, I appreciate clear, fair, cooperative DMs who respect boundaries and care about character arcs. As a DM, I value respectful players who compromise, share spotlight, and care about the party and shared story.

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

Game scholar, public historian, and metalhead who is slowly rediscovering his passion for TTRPGs. I like a good balance of silliness, difficulty, and grit. Started to DM D&D 5e about a year or two ago and loving it! Looking for inclusive groups to play with for one-shots or perhaps long term games if we get along.

Frau_Elster
Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 33, located in Hanover, Germany.  I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite an hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future.  Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing and brainstorming with the others.

I like roleplay heavy games, but having a fight is also good. I tend to homebrew stuff, because any game engine is just an invitation for creativity. Usually play sneaky-snoopy characters, chaos goblins and/or demons like Tyranny (my favorite!).

Ray
Hi, I'm Ray! I'm a 29 year old gay trans guy who loves tabletops. I've been in the scene for a little under 10 years (will be 10 this fall) and most of my experience is in DMing in the Numenera setting of the Cypher System, so I am looking to expand my horizons as a player in your group! Broad strokes: I aim to be cool to talk to and interact with, I pride myself on taking high-qulity notes, and I relish the character creation process. I like to think deeply about character decisions, and am most comfortable in a group with a maximum of 3 or 4 players. The Meat of Things Experience: I've been in the ttrpg scene for 10-ish years, but I do not have a ton of experience as a player. To that end, I'm mainly looking to join a game in a system I've never played so I can get the full newbie experience. You won't need to worry about my table ettiquette or basic rules knowledge, just whether I actually read an ability correctly the first few times I use it. Playstyle: I am a roleplayer at heart, and I take character decisions very seriously. I may need a few minutes to mull over what my character may do in any given situation, and I may need information to be restated there is a lot of exposition, but I do understand the need for brevity with others at the table. I love a well thought out combat sequence and I am not opposed to entire sessions being devoted to combat. My main ask is that the campaign cater to my character's arc in some way, I'm not the kind of guy who can make a throw-away character for a campaign that is more focused on a pre-determined path (never personally been a huge fan of modules, for example). Reservations / Preferences: Being almost 30, I prefer games with people around my own age. My comfortable range is anywhere from 25 - 40, with room to wiggle on either side. I won't play at a table that allows hateful language (racism, misogyny, transmisogyny, and transphobia to name a few of the big ones, but this list is not exhaustive), nor will I play at a table that considers itself "neutral ground" regarding human rights conversations. I prefer deeply nuanced and informed conversation around societal issues and suffering, both in-game and in real life. Logistics: I live in SE Michigan, EST, and prefer local games, but I am no stranger to online adventures. If you're in the Detroit Metro area, that works best for me! In Conclusion If you think I'd make a good addition to your party, drop me a line! I'm excited to play and I hope to hear from you soon!

I'm Kyle!  I have been GMing for the past 3 years, and played various systems since 2016.  Currently I run an in-person campaign of Nimble for my Friday night crew, and am looking to expand my online games to new players.  My GMing Style: I operate on the "Rule of Cool", and doing my best to enable a players idea within the rules of whatever game I am running. I like seeing what hijinks players get up to, and doing my best to navigate a campaign to where my players interests are.  My Player Style: I love playing Paladin/Holy Warrior archetypes, and try my best to play my characters in a manner that they fit in the vibe a GM is trying to curate. I mesh well with most groups and am very extroverted.  My Games of Choice: I love high-fantasy, and enjoy games that feature grid-based combat such as D&D 4th edition, Nimble RPG, Draw Steel, etc.  I tend not to enjoy sci-fi or cyberpunk games or settings.  Extra Info: I am married and a father of 2 boys. I am on the autism spectrum, and participate in several events for neurodivergant people. I work from home in the IT sector. I enjoy 3d printing and painting miniatures for my games.

My favorite thing to do is play TTRPGs. My 2nd favorite thing to do is talk about TTRPGs. I enjoy GM'ing as much as playing. Very experienced with a wide variety of games, looking for more opportunities to GM and play. You can check out my profile on Startplaying for more details: https://startplaying.games/gm/play-not-fight (I don't do paid games but I do like their profile tools!) (I'm not adding new games right now, but feel free to DM me to chat or to get added to my roster of players/and GMs for future stuff.)

Hello. I'm a bit autistic guy, who just trying a strange games with aim to study new things and have fun with it. I have some TTRPG experience in the past, but most of the time it wasn't D&D somehow. So I know a basic priciples of roleplay, as well as a long list of uncommon titles that I want to try as a player. But currently I also interested to play the most official and the most modern of D&D5.5 adventure too.
