Name: Ryker System: D&D 2e Availability: Sundays preferred (flexible if needed) Hi! My name is Ryker. I’ve been playing 1st Edition for a while, and I’m looking to branch out into 2nd Edition because I’m genuinely curious about what’s different and want to learn the system properly. I currently have a free spot in my schedule, with Sundays working best, though I can adapt if necessary. I’m a patient, go-with-the-flow player who enjoys a healthy balance of roleplay and combat. My playstyle leans heavily toward staying in character, with occasional out-of-character jokes, but immersion is important to me,e and I do my best to maintain it. Character & Playstyle I do have a character preference that I can’t be flexible on, but within that framework,rk I enjoy making character-driven PCs with big dreams and long-term goals. I like seeing how far my characters can go — whether they die trying or rise to become legends. While I’m new to 2e, I take learning seriously. I would appreciate: Guidance when I make mistakes Brief explanations if I misunderstand or misapply a rule Being told what I did wrong during or after play, so I don’t slow the party down. I plan to do my own research and read the rules carefully, but support and clear communication mean a lot to me. Rules & Table Expectations If there are home rules, I’d love to know them in advance. If you have a list, great — if not, I’m happy to learn them as they come up. My table values are simple: Respect for all players No meanness or hostility at the table Everyone should be having a good time. I’m fine with occasional rule-bending if it serves the story or the table’s enjoyment, but I’m equally happy sticking strictly to the rules if that’s the group’s preference. Tone & Optimization I enjoy serious, immersive worlds that still allow room for humor and lighter moments. I’m also open to: Purely serious campaigns Lighter or comedic tones As for mechanics, while I’m new to 2e, I do tend to optimize my characters. That’s partly because I enjoy strong builds, but mostly because I want the party to have the best chance of surviving challenges. I like mastering systems and spending time with the rulebooks to make solid, effective choices.
