Im running a Homebrew Campaign in D&D 2024 5th Edition. The game starts in two isles known as the Stormlands (Small Description Below) Because of the setting the only starting races to choose from are Humans, Dwarves and Halfings (And Dhampir versions of those) but as the campaign evolves you can unlock more races. All classes and other character options are available. The Campaign revolves around exploring the land beyond the one you know and discovering the unknown. None of the current lore is completely fleshed out and changes and additions can be made. We plan on doing a session 0 where we'll discuss parts of the game and create our characters. The game will be played on D&D Beyond and We have 3 players so far. We are seeking 2 more players so if you are interested comment below (Ages 16-21 preferred as I myself am 17) The Stormlands: Two lands surrounded by rough impassable sea. The land is ruled by humans, but there are Halfings working in the fields and Dwarves in The Peak. The Factions are split into Three: The Northlands, a rocky, militaristic isle under one rule. The Noble Kingdom or the Kingdom ruled by a long line of kings where honor and nobility is worshiped. The City of Delon, a city for and by the people under elected rule it houses the biggest centralized population in The Stormlands. The Two Isles are connected by a bridge older than History books can date and guarded by The Northland Military. In the middle of the southern Isle lies an old and mysterious Forrest named The Elder Forest, it is only visited by hunters or Men who have a death wish. Small Unruled Villages and farms are scattered about the Southern isle but in the Northlands, not an inch of land is not accounted for. The Stormlands have hundreds of years of lore and tradition but the one thing unknown, is what lies beyond the sea.

Meet at the hearth if you dare to test your steel...'" Hi Denver! I’ve been a Highlands (NW Denver) resident for over 20 years and I’m looking to find a few fellow adventurers (parent/kid combos) to join my 12-year-old son and me for a bi-weekly D&D quest. The Quest We will be starting with new Level 1 characters with the intent to take them all the way through advanced levels. We’ll be running Tales from the Yawning Portal: essentially the "Greatest Hits" of D&D history. The Table Rules: Support for Beginners: If you've never played, don’t worry. We just ask that the kids can handle basic math, some writing, and most importantly, take the gameplay seriously.  The "Vibe": Expect classic D&D action: visceral combat (think: "The blade slices through the creature's neck..."), story narrative and a "PG-13" atmosphere. In our household, we allow the occasional "shit," but no F-bombs. Obviously, we will modulate as the new group gels. I'm pretty relaxed about stuff, but do want to set the stage. I’ll be the DM I am an experienced DM, but it’s been 30 years since I've done it and the game has changed, so I’ll be learning a bit. For me, it’s about the fun rather than precision (no rule nazis, please), but I do like to lean on dice so that I’m not a dictator for ever decision. Also, I’m not against killing off characters. (It’s not fun, if there is no risk.) If that happens, you’ll start with a new one. I’m also going to experiment with adding AI and multimedia to the game play. Logistics: Schedule: Thinking alternating Sundays (4–8 PM) or Fridays (5–9 PM). The "Life Happens" Rule: If you can’t make it, someone will pilot your character so the party stays whole. We also may have to reschedule/cancel sometimes due to my work travel schedule. Hosting: I’ll host at my home in the Highlands, but our first meeting when we make characters could be at a public location. I’ll provide a healthy dinner initially (I can handle special diets), then I’ll ask the players to help once we’ve gotten into a routine. If you’re ready to answer the call, we would love to know about you and why you want to play. (And by “we”, I mean my terribly decerning son. I’ll let any dreg in.)

Hello!  Me and my friends are currently in search of a DM. We’ve all been playing for a minimum of ~1-3 years so we are all pretty knowledgeable about the rules and how our character sheets work. I would like to preface this by saying that majority (3/4 of us) are minors/ recently turned 18 and would prefer a dm that is not that much older than us. In terms of availability, the only day that we have in common for being off is Saturdays and timeslot that we all have is 7:00-10:00 EST. But as long as it is later in the day on Saturday, we are a bit more flexible so we could speak more about the time. We also prefer to play weekly. For the actual campaign and system we are all okay with DnD both 2014 and 2024 and a few of us are opened to a pathfinder campaign instead! We are all huge story people who like to create a lot of art, boards, and other small things to help immerse our characters into the world, and to us, a character’s backstory and lore is just as important as the character sheet. A 60/40 storytelling/roleplay to combat is the perfect mix for us. We are okay with joining preexisting groups or even campaigns, but we prefer to join af group that has ~5 people. Huge boundaries that we have is that in terms of the actual DM/group, communication is a must. We would rather this not be a transaction only group, we would rather also be friends with our DM and fellow players. Open communication is a must, while it isn’t necessary, matching our energy is preferable. DnD shouldn’t feel like a chore to attend to every week, but rather a fun event that we can all use to wind down. All of us are queer (and two of us are poc) in some manner, so also having a group that is open-minded about that is a non-negotiable. For the actual game, sexual content is not something we are comfortable with. And if fantasy racism is a thing, we prefer if it was toned down and not a constant thing. A less rigid dm style would be appreciated as well. In terms of actual gameplay, our primary source of communication would be through discord. For DnD our character sheets are on DnDbeyond, but we are open to trying out new things. We are all fairly knowledgeable about Roll20 as well. Sorry for the long yap, but small introductions from everyone in the group. Hi, I am a new DM exploring a fairly new system called CAIN, and I wanted to post to post this just to grab some new players, Slots are small as I only need three. but I'll explain what I want from you and what you can expect from me as a DM # The Overall Feel This is a Dark Modern Dystopian Set in Japan. (Specifically starting in the City of Gero (Inside of the Gifu Prefecture) Its half and half roleplay and combat that has a decent paced story, Strong Choices, that on hunts. Decisions are always made with the players ideas. There always are consequences to dumb ideas as with most DND Games but I enjoy following the rule of cool with players. Its a moody painful setting but an accepting table. # The Speaking Stage Im most importantly looking for socially active players that enjoy being in a small community. You don't have to be overly active. I myself is criminal of not. But you have to be upto sending a few messages. making bonds and talking in voice chats. # The Tools of the Trade As a new DM. I must admit that I'm not good at Roll20, Owlbear Rodeo, and DNDBeyond. However CAIN greatly favors theater of the mind gameplay over extreme distance management. This campaign is mainly discord only. with the exception of your usual note taking apps, Pieces of Paper randomly shoved into channels, and the most forgetful DM Possible. This is a Friendly Space to all people. On Session 0 we will have a discussion on times for sessions. weekly biweekly or monthly. And also comfy and uncomfy topics. # What To Expect In Me I'll admit I have a lot of flaws as this is my first time DMing. Please expect me to fail, for me to make dumb mistakes and for me to sometimes forget about sessions. We can always reschedule and I won't be harsh on you if you forget either. # What I Expect From You I expect you to be respectful and kind to your fellow players, Baseline. simple. Its okay to have feuds in character as long as you both consent to it and understand that if it causes problems its going to be a problem. I don't want Rules Lawyers because Im a go with the flow type of person. If I break a rule purposefully it means I either forgot about it or I thought it was a fair exception. its okay to be a Rule Reminderer. Not a Rule Dictator. I don't want people who never interact. (This includes those with the tower Agenda) Its okay to brood in a corner alone but utterly avoiding reaction is never okay. And Edgelords. this environment is edgy. its meant to make people feel cool but its also supposed to feel psychological and sometimes scary. # What you should expect out of CAIN CAIN is a system made by one of the guys who made lancer that basically involves hunting down sins in exhibition style gameplay (where your exhibitions are hunts). You solve cases, kill demons, and get treated like garbage because all you are is property.
