Novymirn (Full-Homebrew) Looking for DM!

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
**This post is mainly looking for a DM that wants to host a campaign based on my homebrew/world, currently hosting two campaigns and want to try being a player too for testing and exploring the world another way! I will help get the players and ofcourse teach everything for it. **Also have slots open for my own other campaigns, or well if you wanna just learn and explore my world also open! **Probably for friday night, saturdays or sundays noon. Imagine a dark high-fantasy cold world with snowy magical forests, cool pairies and the usual abandoned tank wreck next to a decaying base. In sense thats the world of Novymirn, my homebrew project I have been working on for years, that is lightly taken inspiration from the anime "GATE" as its in a way a clash between fantasy and modern, but its not actually the focus, which in true is the mysterious nature of the world, how it works and what happened. And the clash is the society and history found: the native 'beastfolk' or Zvernarod have built a late-medieval fantasy civilization here, using glowing crystals to cast powerful spells and scavenging strange, ancient metals from long-vanished ruins to forge their weapons. Meanwhile, a dwindling army of normal Soviets who marched through a mysterious portal decades ago are now permanently stranded here, clinging to their firearms, tanks, and a heavily fortified bunker-state. Thats the very brief introduction, and there alot more... About Me First -Language & Timezone: I speak both English and Spanish well, and I’m in the CST/CT Timezone. -Experience: I’m not super experienced running official D&D (I've only done a couple), I have ton of text roleplaying and creative writing experience. Since we are using a system built from scratch, we’ll all be learning, improving, and building this together. -The Logistics: We'll do sessions via Discord voice chat (no cameras needed, though I don't mind them). I'm aiming for weekly or bi-weekly sessions. I’m flexible with the schedule but would prefer late-night CST. Would like to record the sessions and possibly upload them. What to Expect from the Game -The Focus: The campaign will focus heavily on roleplaying, exploration, world immersion, and player interactions. -The System: I use my own super-simplified dice-rolling system. It's designed to let us focus way more on narrative and roleplay, while still keeping that fun luck-vs-skill factor of the dice. -Work in Progress: I’m actively working on this world. It’s mature enough to play in, but expect quite a bit of reading for character creation and immersion. I even have a work-in-progress online character creator form you can use! -Customization: Because I'm still developing the lore, I only have a few official species fully written out. I am totally open to homebrewing custom, in-lore species with you. Expect a few lore holes here and there, but we can fill them together. Who I'm Looking For -Mature/Adults Only: I don't want to deal with any out-of-game drama. -Genuinely Interested: People who actually want to explore the world, find out about its weird nature, the places, and the people. At its core, this game is about discovery. -Reliable: Consistency and punctuality for sessions is huge for me. -Any Experience Level: I don't mind if you are a total beginner or a veteran—I'll need to teach you how I run things anyway! -Experienced roleplayer/Dungeon Master

"This is a game about war and the people who endure it. We're going to sit down together and create two nations that go to war. A war which may continue for years. But, as players, we won't control the events of the war. Instead, we will consult the oracle of war— the WARACLE —to find out what happens. Every season, battles will be fought, there will be victories and defeats, but we won't decide any of it: the rules will. Instead, our job will be to explore the people living through the events the WARACLE dictates. Soldiers, civilians, every single person caught up in a war which they, like us, do not control. To bring them to life and try to understand them. What kind of people we make and what kind of stories we tell is up to each of us, unless the WARACLE tells us the war reaches into their lives…" https://arsludi.lamemage.com/index.php/5108/this-means-war-is-ready-to-play/

Remade many systems in 5e to better fit an mmo-style like the anime SAO. The most notable is that instead of classes, you have skill trees. If you are interested in joining, I'd like to know what your favorite story at the table is, or otherwise getting to know who you are as a person. We are currently thinking about Fridays from 4-8pm CST starting some time in June. If you want to see what the skilltrees currently entail: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Th_DrifWVknXMDK36lbxO3bFdMe4qb9gk1v2womieS0/edit?usp=sharing

A homebrew system campaign set in a modern day SCP style world.  As employees of the IMC (impossibility management center), the megastructure goes into lockdown as an unknown force breaks in. Player count:  1 - 6. Character survivability:  Medium.  Rolls and well thought out plans cannot kill you.  However, you are not immortal. Tone:  Serious, with some comedic and minor horror elements. Content warning:  The story does portray many major deities as evil or corrupt, so sorry if I end up being offensive.

Playtest Playtest

Hey Folks! I'm In the process of putting together a playtest campaign for a game called Gifts, a narrative-first game of magic and resistance. Looking for players to join an active game Tuesdays 6:30-10p:30m eastern. Game Teaser: Gifts is a game where magic is a foil for the battleground between Oppression and Resistance. The world of Gifts is the same as our own, except magic is real and as mundane as a Wi-Fi signal. The System uses magic to automate your oppression. Players are part of the Resistance, reclaiming stolen traditions and the worship of ancient deities to protect their neighborhoods from magical gentrification and state violence. Gifts is a narrative first game that rewards imagination, quick thinking, and heart. Example Patrons: Tlaloc | Anubis | Hanuman | Poseidon | Hecate | Nyx | Nauda Silverhand | Cernunnos | Heimdall | Baron Samedi | Met Agwe | Guinevere | Jack Frost | Lilith | Lucifer | Santería | Stragheria | Feng Shui | Shakerism | Tai Chi | Capoeira | The Zeitgeist | Class Struggle Mechanics: Narrative first, RP heavy. Some crunch, and lots of character options (131 patrons written so far).

Test run my sci-fi D&D campaign

Homebrew Homebrew
Playtest Playtest
So I'm a completely new DM, I've never done this before. I was/am making a sci-fi D&D campaign and i wanna test run it! It has 10 sessions in-total (not counting session 0) I don't really know how long these sessions will take as I've never DM'ed before... 40% of combat is 5E, 60% of combat is homebrew It has quite a few homebrew elements most notable being: A ship customizable with module's that effect its stats. Some monsters thats it i think Oh and this campaign isn't the most serious thing but there are some moments you need to lock in. And there are some roles that me and my friend made, so you can think of what you wanna do (at the bottom) Idk where i need to put the world backstory so ima dump it here: (Ik it isn't much but i'll incorperate your backstory into here as best i can) Nagartah (neptune-ish planet) A quiet ice/water giant, nothing special happens here. It has a history of being invaded, but the invaders often quickly leave after seeing there is nothing of value here, or at least thats what they think. There are some gaint Lithium vains that are of significant value, and propels the very few civilizations that live here to incredible tech levels. Thats also why most cyborgs are from here. Jaguda (juipiter-ish planet) There's not much to say about Jaguda, all there is that giant space station that quite an amount of people live on but thats just it Urath (earth-ish planet) A planet with a huge history, I'd rather not go into all the war-crimes that happened during the countless wars that happened here... But it is the most basic planet so idk Luna (Moon-ish Moon) Its a fu##### moon, what do you want me to write about this place? Only real thing is that there is a treaty to not touch/land/do nything on this planet to preserve its natural beauty? Okay the Urath goverment must be on some Star-high dust like B#### WHAT DO YOU MEAN NATURAL BEAUTY THERE'S NOTHING Idra (-ish Planet) Idra is an extremely cold place that is any miners dream, many ores, soft rock, and big caves! But the surface it pretty much un-livable due to the -120 degree C0 winds. Except a giant group of penguins don't agree with this basic common thought and made a civilization here. While they may have a giant fleet, penguins are clumsy yk? Avonria (-ish Moon) On of the 2 big population centers, while the majority of the population might be in EXTREME poverty. The higher-ups and government are insanely rich and posses the strongest ship known to the universe! One half of the planet is a gaint dessert, and the other one an overrun city. And don't worry, the elites are high above in their space station! Dawntor (-ish Moon) Not a big moon with alot of people, but it is the most uniqe! As this is one of the few places where magic is a normal thing, most people that see this are baffeld and suprised that that is real! So ships/parts from here are often interwoven with magic and this planet is the only way to get shields on a ship. And no I see you reading this, if your born on this plant you automtically get magic skills, even without learning! But for others its quite hard, but possible! Especially when they've spent some time on the planet it-self. Experts say this comes from 3 pillars, but come on, who believes them? CAPTAIN Skills: Wisdom, Intelligence Role: Leader, decision-maker Action (1/turn): Command: Give 1 ally advantage on their next roll Evasive Order: +bonus to dodge for the ship Focus Fire: +bonus to hit for weapons PILOT Skills: Dexterity, Wisdom Role: Movement & dodging Action (1/turn): Dodge: Avoid incoming attack (DEX check) Boost: Reposition ship Risky Maneuver: Big dodge bonus (fail = penalty) GUNNER Skills: Dexterity, Perception Role: Weapons & attacks Action (1/turn): Fire Weapons: Standard attack Aim Shot: Harder roll, more damage Suppress: Lower enemy accuracy ENGINEER Skills: Intelligence, Strength/Dexterity Role: Repairs & system boosts Action (1/turn): Repair Module: Fix damaged system Boost System: Shields ↑ Engines ↑ Weapons ↑ SCANNER / TECH Skills: Intelligence, Perception Role: Information & detection Action (1/turn): Scan Enemy: Reveal weakness Predict Attack: Give ally advantage to dodge Detect Anomaly: Find hidden threats RULES for these role's Each player takes 1 action per turn Captain gives 1 bonus command per turn Engineer chooses repair OR boost (not both) And don't worry, you can switch role's out of combat

I am looking for players for a game where they take on the roles of the gods to build this fantasy setting and then explore what they created as demigods. It’s not just a single table, we’re actually creating a community of different people running different games in different parts of the world, with sword and sorcery adventure in abundance. But there’s also an emphasis on creation for those who want it. Warriors can develop their own special techniques and teach them to others. Crafters can make masterful equipment beyond anything that is for sale on the market. Mages can enchant gear to supernatural potency. Social characters can recruit an entourage to support them. And players can interact with other characters from any game to swap stories and also their creations if they wish. If you’re interested, the link to the Discord is here: https://discord.gg/qbGDexyHKJ is a link to this Discord server.

Drakkenheim Starfall | Daggerheart | PLAY TEST

Playtest Playtest
Horror Horror
PLEASE NOTE: This is a playtest game, I will be testing out a few different and new systems to myself in hopes of adapting them into my games in the future. This is also a playtest for the Daggerheart Drakkenheim ruleset as well so player feedback is welcomed and encouraged throughout. Wednesday 9pm GMT The 11th day of the 11th month, 1111. To some, it was a day of prophecy; to most, it was just another Tuesday in the jewel of Westemär. Then the sky split open. A star of pulsing violet fire screamed through the heavens and struck the heart of Drakkenheim, vaporizing the Royal Ward in a heartbeat. You aren't heroes, not yet. You are survivors, caught in the shadow of a dying city. As a strange, prismatic fog begins to roll through the streets and the very stones start to weep purple ichor, your only objective is simple: Get out before the Haze claims you. The air is thick with the scent of ozone and rotting flowers. Around you, the impossible is happening. People you knew are warping before your eyes, limbs lengthening, voices dissolving into wet gurgles, and sanity fraying under the glow of the "Octarine" light. This is a world of Eldritch Horror and High Stakes Survival, where every street corner offers a choice between a desperate rescue and a necessary betrayal. In this high-octane Daggerheart adventure set as a Prequel to Dungeons of Drakkenheim, you will navigate a cityscape undergoing a violent, magical metamorphosis, the day the eldritch meteor struck the city. You must balance your dwindling Hope against the encroaching Fear as you witness the birth of a nightmare that will haunt the continent for decades to come. Will you lead survivors to safety, abandoned those that are already lost, or will you become just another shadow etched into the ruins of the lost capital? The sky has fallen, the King is gone, and the Haze is hungry. Run.

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
— Overview — System: Original Hybrid System (PbtA + WoD + D&D5e) Platform: Owlbear Rodeo + Discord VC Schedule: Saturday 7pm - 9pm pst ( weekly ) Setting: Vancouver, BC, Canada Deadline: Looking to run the Session 0 by April 11th 2026 — Hook — You've forged your own lives in the supernatural underworld; your own jobs, routines, the other bullshit you have to deal with in this decaying pit we call Society™. However, something disrupts it when word gets out that INTERPOL is in town investigating criminal activity; vigilante violence, arms dealing, activity that you have a hand in one way or another. If you don't want to catch yourself in a jailcell or point blank range, you must find out who is behind this investigation and shut their operation down quietly. Can you take on these intruders without blowing your cover? — About the Game Master — Hello Netizens! I’m looking to test out a new TTRPG I've designed. My name is Dryant (25M). I have several years of GM & Player experience with TTRPGs like DnD 5e, VtM V5, and Monster of the Week. I enjoy roleplay and character development just as much as combat. — Concept — This system derives inspiration from Monster of the Week, World of Darkness, and D&D 5e in terms of mechanics. In terms of lore, I got some inspiration from World of Darkness, and is based on the shared universe in my YouTube channel (Feel free to ask to check it out!) The dice used depends on the scene; 2d6 for narrative social scenes, and d20 for combat. From Monster of the Week (and other PbtA games), I established fixed success and failure tiers and borrowed World of Darkness' flexible skill and stat combinations. Skills combine with stats to reflect how your character approaches a task rather than just what they're doing — the same Firearms skill reads differently depending on whether you pair it with Dexterity to shoot, Intelligence to analyze, or Charisma to do a trick. The setting of this game operates in a certain Nobledark register — the world is genuinely dark, institutions are corrupt by design, and change is essentially beyond reach. What isn't beyond reach is personal change, small resistances, and the decision to act with integrity in a world that punishes it.

Online Using Discord and Foundry. Game is 7PM PST on Sunday April 12th I backed the new Kickstarter and I'm eager to give Nimble a try. I have run 300+ hours on R20 but Foundry has the Nimble module so I'll be trying that for the first time as well. Characters will start at lvl 3. I anticipate the game will run 3-4 hours, but I havent played nimble before so it might be faster or slower than expected. The Toll-Master's Crypt A one-shot adventure for 3-5 players, set in the world of Aenothis. The goddess Nysira is dead. You were in Bellmere when it happened. The blessed around you dropped where they stood, no warning and no explanation. That was this morning. By afternoon, the refugees started arriving from the east. They say Eryx's army has taken Elyndral. The capital has fallen along with its god. The army marches west, and in two days it reaches Bellmere. The Adventurers Guild is swamped. The portal network is overwhelmed. Not everyone will escape in time. Half the city is in the streets devolving more and more into a mob by the minute. The people you care about are looking to you, and there is nowhere safe to take them. Except one possibility. An old crypt to the northwest, a contract nobody touched because the war felt more urgent. Something in there is raising the dead and poisoning the surrounding forest. Clear it, and there's shelter. The war just arrived at your doorstep. The crypt won't clear itself.

The Crown of Winter - a short 4 player campaign

Combat focused Combat focused
No paid games No paid games
Want to play something longer than a one-shot, but without committing months or even years to a long-term campaign? Do you want some experience playing characters past the beginning of their story, taking on more varied foes? Or maybe you're just here for an action-packed, high fantasy adventure? If so, you've come to the right place! Details: I’m looking for 4 players for my 5.5e mini campaign. Although anyone is welcome, some experience is recommended—I want to run a game for higher levels than I’m used to at a mid-high level of optimization. But as long as you’re friendly, respectful to other players, and (reasonably) punctual, I’d be happy to have you!  Sessions will be ~3 hours, run on Discord VC, and use AboveVTT for maps, no paid resources required. In terms of scheduling, I’m tentatively planning Wednesdays at 10:00 JST. The first session will be no later than June 17th, and ideally, you'll be able to get to know your party members and coordinate before then. Characters will be level 8, use point buy or standard array, and the game's style will be almost completely RAW, without homebrew except for minor monster tweaks for the setting. Any mundane gear or costly components will be free, so feel free to make whatever build you'd like to test against the 2024 XP budgets! Although there will be no explicit content, the game is limited to players aged 18+. If there's content you're uncomfortable with, please let me know as well.  Feel free to ask me any questions about the game itself, your expectations, or anything at all! You can find me on Discord (jaegermeister2132). Ideally, we can sort out anything you want to know and potentially have a short call to test things out. To start, introduce yourself, what you're looking for in the game, and tell me a bit about your experience with D&D! (IMPORTANT NOTE: My timezone is JST, it wasn't an option here! This means for most timezones I might be a day ahead, and the Wednesday slot may be closer to a Tuesday night one) Synopsis: As the frigid kingdom of Hinterreich mourns the death of its king, chaos grips its people. The nation in mourning was ill-prepared for the dragon’s attack—when the dust settled, the late monarch’s sole heir and the legendary crown were missing. Adventurers, mercenaries, and anyone with the courage to venture into the dragon’s lair and retrieve both the princess and the artifact are to be rewarded handsomely.

Ruins & Relics Playtest Campaign

Playtest Playtest
Hello Everyone.  I'm putting together a 10-12 session playtest campaign for Ruins & Relics, a game that I will be crowdfunding this fall  This is open to people with any level of experience.  If you are interested please let me know and I will message you with more information.  Here are the basic details: GAME TIME Fridays 7-11pm EST START DATE Friday June 15th (Late comers are always welcome if party size allows) GAME / PLAYSTYLE Ruins & Relics is very similar to B/X and BECMI D&D but with a d20 interface.  If you've not played those before the quick synopsis is that it a vey lean, beginer friendly ruleset built around exploration and treasure acquisition. It is much grittier than modern versions of D&D, and much less story driven.  Instead it focusses more on things like clever problem solving, resource management, sneakiness and diplomacy. CAMPAIGN THEME Traditional dungeon exploration.  The game includes a sample dungeon geared at teaching new DMs and players the game.  We will be exploring this dungeon in the campaign. PARTY SIZE I would like to have between 6-8 players.  This used to be the standard party size in old-school D&D and the dungeon adventure that I wrote assumes this size.  Further, this allows flexibility with scheduling.  If one or two people can't make a session we can just fill their places with hired retainers that night.  So this frees us up from having to try to coordinate everyone's schedules from week to week. FORMAT We will be playing largely theatre of the mind but using a virtual tabletop for combat.  The voice and video feed will be hosted through Discord while we will be using Roll20 for the VTT.  Each person can either choose to create a character or use one of the provided pre-gens I've created for the game. PLAYTEST DOCS All of the playtest docs are avalable for free download at my wite, Wyrmlord (but if you wish to be a player in the campaign, please avoid reading the Sample Dungeon chapter in the Dungeon Master's Guide).

Novymirn (Full-Homebrew)

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
**Am going to host another campaign of my Novymirn world, first campaign is full, thats why the 0/5 so slots open!

A cruel goddess cursed the north into endless winter where the sun never rises and resources are running out. You play heroes stuck in these isolated freezing towns, trying to survive the blizzards and find a way to stop the curse. Play date is Wednesday at 6pm est If you just want to stand still and smash monsters like a video game, skip this listing. I run enemies smart. If you run through fights too fast, they will sneak up behind you, flank your squishies, and wait in the fog. You actually have to use your brain to stay alive here. My DM Style I’m a newer DM and the Rule of Cool always wins. If you have a wild idea dat makes sense, I’ll let you roll for it. We joke around, break the fourth wall, and hang out like a bunch of buddies. It’s a super relaxed table, but when a fight starts, you need a tactical plan. Standard D&D 5e rules, but run way more fun. The Shifting World This isn't a one-and-done game. Everything connects. Keep Your Gear: When the campaign ends, you don't delete your character. You keep your level, your history, and your legendary weapons for the next adventure. Bad Guys Are Watching: If you become famous in the north, word travels. Big bosses from other books will notice you and might come hunt you down to test your strength.  The Next Step Contact me through the group finder here. We will sit down to play a one-shot to see how the table vibes. If everything goes well, then we start the campaign. Looking for 4 to 5 players to start at Level 1. Show up, think fast, and let’s roll.

System: Pathfinder 2e (PF2e) Platform: FoundryVTT Schedule: Twice a month, Friday nights I’ve been DMing for about a year and my friend and I are looking for 2-3 more players to join us. We want to start with a one-shot to check the group dynamic and 'test the feeling.' If everything goes well, the plan is to transition into a homebrew campaign. We are both French, but we can play with English players as well (time zone London)

I have been developing a new system based primarily on D&D 3.5, but includes many aspects from 5e, OSR systems, and original parts of my design. Simply put: it needs testing, and I want to know how it feels. Feedback is the most important for me, and as a forever DM, I plan to have a fun and interesting story along the way. We are currently running v6.1 (6th major series of design updates, and some tweaks after that). Soon enough, with everyone's help, I hope to get the game published, so please do not distribute anything without my consent.

Steel Age is a tragic fantasy tabletop RPG set in the fractured land of Dyrhal, an early medieval setting three generations after the fall of its last empire. This is a human-focused fantasy game about survival, consequence, fatigue, connection, and meaningful struggle in the ruins of empire. It is not heroic fantasy or a power-fantasy campaign. Combat is dangerous, injuries matter, fatigue erodes your ability to keep fighting, and victory often comes with a cost. The game uses 2d6 resolution and I can provide: - the current rules packet - quick-reference aids - a starter setting - a ready-to-run starter module I’m looking for players interested in helping test a game with a strong tragic fantasy identity and giving honest feedback on clarity, pacing, and play experience. Platform: Discord  VTT: Not required  Timezone: US Eastern (EST/EDT)  Likely play times: weekend daytime Eastern, evening EU Format: Closed playtest / starter adventure No prior knowledge of the system is needed. I’m mainly looking for people open to a grounded fantasy game where tension, cost, and consequence matter. If this sounds interesting, feel free to reach out and I can share more details.

This is a call for players for a new campaign in the Mechanized Body universe. This will be a campaign that will likely go from level 1 to level 3 or 4, roughly 9 sessions in total- with potential for more. In addition to this player intake form there will be a session 0 to help craft the campaign. In it's current state, the unreleased version of Mechanized Body has a campaign creation tool that can be ported very easily into a session 0. Hi my name is Speck and I’m looking for 1 more player that is age 21+ to join a campaign that has only played 1 session. I will be using foundry to DM. It’s a new system to me so there might be some hiccups. This will take place on Tuesdays at 1200 Pacific Time. It’s 5e and I’m allowing players to build their characters normally, but have to reskin to an animal type creature. So you would have to be a skunk, squirrel, mouse form. I did this for funsies so it’s very loose ruling. The current story idea is this and was initially a one shot, but now going to be a full fledged campaign after players wanted to continue. - The President has been captured! President Owlfred was last seen sleeping in his quarters until this morning. Many teams have been sent out to search far and wide and your team is designated to traverse through the sleepy hills and into the grove of mushies. The mushroom kingdom holds a rambunctious gang of beings that have been known to harass tradesmen and soldiers from a distance using their spores causing them to flee or worse, suffer maddening hallucinations. With the help of the red guard (your party) you are responsible for potentially finding President Owlfred and bringing him back to the democracy of critters. - The one session that was played left the party successfully finding and defending president owlfred. The remaining task is to figure out how to get out safely and find out why there is a blight amongst the kingdom of mushies. - either dm or reply below the following info. Name/Nickname: Experience: Character idea: (Name, Age, Race/critter type, Class (Subclass if you already know), background, personality) Feel free to link a photo if you like. What part of your character sounds fun to you?: Is there an issue with occasional guest?: Anything extra you wanna share:

Playtest Playtest
Hello there! This year I have been working on a project where I adapt various iconic video game bosses and encounters into D&D 5e boss fights, with the intention of compiling them all into a free, public module for anyone to use at the end of the year. As a part of this project, I have put together a party of 5 players to playtest one boss encounter each week. Unfortunately, one of my players has had drop step back due to personal commitments, and a spot has opened up. Each week I announce the boss, the level requirement for your characters, and the magic item loadout you can bring-- along with any additional mechanics necessary for that week's fight. You can choose to bring the same character every week, or make a brand new one each time as long as your characters are fairly balanced. After each fight, I will post the stat blocks for the monsters and ask the players to give feedback on the monster's design and mechanics, along with any suggestions to improve the encounter. The goal is to create interesting boss showdowns that go beyond just watching numbers go down on each side. If this sounds interesting to you, please send me a message with some information about yourself and your experience with D&D both as a player and a creator. Current play time: 8PM EST Thursday nights Thanks, Paddy Discord - paddy4530

Wysteria 3.0 Presents: The Tournament of Realms

Homebrew Homebrew
Playtest Playtest
The Tournament of Realms is a competitive playtest of my TTRPG system, Wysteria a d10 dice-pool game built around Action Points, modular spellcrafting, scalable gear crafting, and layered defenses using Dodge, Block, Shield Points, and Hit Points. Success is determined by rolling d10s, rewarding specialization, preparation, and creative builds. In this playtest event, players enter a deadly centennial tournament hosted by the Immortal Dracolich Kazuul who emerges once every 100 years hosting a tournament of the strongest in the land. Contestants earn Prestige by completing objectives, surviving encounters, winning duels, uncovering secrets, and manipulating the political landscape of the arena. Magic is undiscovered and yet there are ways to flow with it, like The Cults, The Divine and The Arcane to name a few. Participants will fight against each other in sanctioned duels, team fights, sponsor fights and unsanctioned rival clashes, fight alongside each other in shifting alliances to overcome monsters, hazards, and faction threats and engage in espionage, sabotage, and information warfare to undermine competitors and steal advantages. Only those who accumulate enough Prestige may challenge the immortal king. Defeat him, and you are crowned the next Kingslayer, inheriting both the wish and the consequences that follow. System: Wysteria 3.0 Playtest Tools: Discord, Google Docs, and Roll 20 Schedule: To be discussed with the party when we have everyone. There will also be activities available for play by post if you wish to have a one on one session or anything of the such with the GM. We can accomadate timezone differences. Seats: we need a minimum of 1 people to a max of 5. All seats are currently open and we will tell you if so otherwise. We can accomate more players if needed. Game: There will be a session 0 where the GM will explain the expectations. I would recommend having a concept or a hint of one but it is not needed. The Document with the system will be provided upon request or when accepted into the game. "If you wish to read or talk in call the I will gladly do so to help." - Potato, The GM Themes: Flexible Fantasy Tournament Setting set across many environments and terrain with a Dark Fantasy tone, with similar vibes to Mortal Kombat. Safety Tools: Session 0, Pregame chat, any concerns may be told to the GM so they can put it on the restricted list if your selected to join.

Our Loving Mother weeps. From beneath our seas to her shores, the Empire of the Sky has sunk its fangs into her heel, glutting itself on her lifeblood. Her children starve as her skin blanches bone-white, her rivers bleed iron-red, and her valleys and peaks carved out, abscessed and cratered. Left to fester under roaming foreign hands. Each hour the Enemy remains on her shores, seven souls are taken. Since the Accord, countless more have been ground and fed to their bottomless hunger For half a lifetime we have suffered these leeches at our breast. Half a lifetime too long. Brothers and sisters, our Mother cries out for help still. Her voice grows hoarse and ever weary. Will you answer her call with righteous war? Or will her voice fall silent on a coward's ears? — translated from a Khejjaran pirate transmission Every Burning leaves Ash in it's wake. Empires are no different. The skies above Almezár were aglow with cooling embers, amber-pale and baleful as the dusky silhouettes of the sky-cities of the Impérié l'Azhar Sedarié drifted far far, above the din of tumultuous revolt below. It has been 120 years since foreign soles first sullied the Kejjiri-jiim. What began as a fool's failed expedition ended with the world powers learning a land untouched by the Maelstrom existed. A vast, untouched expanse of fertile earth. One only needed the gall to lay claim. Ports and ship-lifts rose where cliffs faces were carved into and incised. Railways penetrated the Black Plateau to better feed the torrential flow of trade exports through the port cities. The earth was hollowed to sate the Empire’s appetite for riches, for industry, for war, for earth, for blood. In time, the Khej were hollowed out or uprooted from their land, too. Almezár was never meant to be permanent. At its best it was a penal colony installed for the express purpose of pushing the Khej into the Badlands, at its worst, a den for criminals, deviants, outlaws and dissidents. Now it stands proud in the wastes, swollen with settlers, soldiers, freedmen and slave alike, and of course the ever-present criminal element that birthed the city, all eking out an existence on earth so razed it no longer bears fruit, all beneath a sky that did not belong to them. Yet during this particular dusk the people sing late into the night. They spill ballads off slurring tongues and bellow from throats wet with wine, for Almezár's High Overseer is dead. And beneath those distant heavens, the Nujh-smoke of war rises from the flickering embers of revolt. Now that the hooks over... Hi, the name's Chrys, Me and my partner Viv are looking to playtest a personal project with some other creatives (that would be you) and see how well the rules hold up and to see if the gameplay is compelling enough to warrant a full write-up and post the system publicly on [itch.io](http://itch.io) or something so people can use in their own PBP games. It'll be a one-shot over 5 session (10 hours max), though if everyone's still interested and willing I'm not against transitioning it into a longer campaign. So what's the game like? Praxis, is a rules-light story engine focused on pushing your characters to evolve and change over the course of a campaign, and hopefully end up with a memorable story you can look back on wistfully. There's elements of deck building, JRPG-style turn based combat and therefore a measure of tactics in Praxis, but overall the rules for this playtest are simple enough to be taught in 10 minutes tops during session zero. Details(AKA:TLDR): It's a 5 session one-shot where you get to play as either insurgents, mercenaries, or gunrunners caught in the chaos of a country on the brink of civil war. You've gots to be 21+ dawg. You'll have to fill out a super brief form at the end of each week and jot down your thoughts/critiques/suggestions regarding the session. Invites are to be sent out on the 3rd of March. Session zero by the 7th. And if all goes well, Session one is set for the 10th. Synchronous sessions will be hosted on Discord, twice every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the 10th-24th of March. Each session will be 2 hours max, at a time (TBD) between 2PM to 8PM GMT. Also, super important. There is a list of themes this campaign will be exploring, so please make sure to read through the first page of the application form before applying. Full information about the playtest can be found in the application form.

For new players that never got to play DnD, or they start playing now. Greetings! I am looking for players for beginner/easy sessions in DnD 5e 2024, with more focus on dialogue and roleplay rather than combat and strict rules. We are currently 32 members on the server, all sharing the same world. The project now includes 6 different groups, each following its own tasks and story arcs. Every group plays in the same setting, and their choices influence the world and sometimes even each other’s campaigns. It creates a living, evolving narrative shaped by the players. The server is made for beginners, but we also welcome more experienced players. We focus on learning the basics, improving roleplay, and most importantly, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment. I’m currently on GMT+2 time zone, and my sessions usually run in the evenings, around 19:00–20:00 until midnight local time. I’m also looking for people who would be interested in DMing, not just playing. If you enjoy guiding others, helping beginners understand the game, and running relaxed, fun sessions, I would love to talk to you. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, feel free to reach out! Action resolution is divided into 4 Phases or Acts, simulating the Ki-Sho-Ten-Ketsu storytelling frame of asian literature and the paneling of a manga page - Adventure, Battle & Train. I have been working for 15 years on a world setting, and for 5 years on a system, on and off in my spare time. It is finally time to test it out in a full campaign. Mid to high fantasy setting (black powder weapons do exist) Single Die system, everything is decided with a d20 with no extra rolls required. Looking for 3-5 players to participate once a week in a long campaign (shooting for multiple months or longer if everyone is having a good time and the system holds up) Classless-ish system highly customizable characters with players being able to use a template to design abilities. Will most likely use MapTools for the Campaign. Players Guide Available. Map Available. Further information available of course if there is interest. Hope all good luck and high rolls in all their endeavors, and hopefully at least a few of you are willing to give something new a shot.

Hey guys. I'm a newer DM who finally wants to put something long-lasting together. All of my other campaigns kinda just fizzled out. I'm 21 and am looking for players 16+. I like working with friends to tell stories, so here's what I'm hoping to do. I'd like to connect over Discord and have you all send me characters and ideas about your story that I can implement. From there, I'll run an easy one-shot so we can get to know each other. Then, if our group has fun, I'll extend the campaign and write some lore. The setting will be homebrew in a fairly basic fantacy DnD style land. Homebrew characters and classes will probably be limited as I'm newer, but if you ask nice I'll see what I can do ;) Message me and let's talk about what you're looking for.

Since it is almost ready (still needs some tweaks and balancing), i would like to get a 2nd opinion on it, maybe a session 0 too for a playtest. GMT+2 You begin as prisoners of the world. Born with mana in a land that fears magic, you were exiled by the inquisitors and shipped to die on a prison island. You never arrive. A sea monster destroys the ship, and you awaken on an uncharted island that doesn’t exist on any map. There are no cities, no laws and no rescue coming. There's only wilderness, ruins, and others who survived in very different ways. The players must scavenge for food and materials, build and upgrade a camp for different bonuses, explore and find different factions on this island. It’s a fantasy survival campaign set in a harsh, isolated world where the players start with very little and must earn everything through exploration, tough choices, and cooperation. The focus is on atmosphere, and storytelling, rather than on fixed outcomes. Players can explore/scavenge dangerous lands, deal with rival factions, build up a camp or settlement over time, and shape how the story evolves through their decisions. Combat exists, as long with some light survival, resource management, and camp expanding mechanics. I was thinking that the campaign adapts to player choices, nothing is predetermined or set in stone story-wise. Dm if interested. English is not my main language, so i apologise for any misspellings.

Looking for daring planar pirates!

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hi there, I am looking for players for a Planescape / Spelljammer inspired game in a homebrew setting, using a super-simple FitD system. Premise: You are a crew of 'Planar Prospectors', daring interdimensional pirates who travel to strange worlds to plunder them for treasure. You fill your ship with the stolen wares of alien peoples and ancient temples, and then return to the city of Dol Kathir, an interplanar metropolis which counts among its citizens humans, elves, demons, fey, elementals, insectoid warriors, servants of long dead Gods, strange monsters and more. The planes hold countless dangers, as does Dol Kathir itself, and you will have to work together and play smart to stay alive. Forge a bond with your crew, set out into the planes, survive many battles and merciless politics, and you may yet make your mark on this city. Campaign Features: [RP and Plot Focused] Your characters are the heart of the story. Create a compelling Prospector, and discover the planes, and the machinations of the city, through their eyes. [Goal-driven] The plot is driven by the desires and actions of the characters. Are you looking to cure yourself of an ancient curse? Prove yourself to your tribe? Discover the home of the Gods? Depose the tyrant king of your home plane? Whatever your goal, you set the agenda. The lightweight system allows you to represent a limitless variety of characters. Use the tools at your disposal and your strategic mind to outwit your enemies and find creative solutions to the problems you face. Mingle with a thousand different races in Dol Kathir, see the sights of countless bizarre planes, and witness the workings of ancient magics. The setting is expansive and bizarre. Countless factions want to take control of the city for their own ends. Forge alliances, make enemies, and shape the future of the city - just be sure not to turn your back on anyone. What we're looking for in a player: We're hoping to find people who really enjoy roleplaying, creating interesting characters, and working with eachother to create a story you'll remember for years to come. Creativity is a big plus. If you like coming up with clever solutions to problems, and are comfortable taking the reigns pursuing your character's goals yourself to drive the story forward, you'll probably have a good time. But ultimately the most important thing is that you're engaged, friendly, and ready to have a great time. If you're interested in joining, please follow this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdItaqUiqjkDB8CJUlPe3O2KPMzjyit7JTvENhzhBDroi4O2w/viewform?usp=publish-editor

The Final Bid (D&D 5E Homebrew) One-Shot / Free

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
I’m a dad looking to spend my free time meeting some nice people online and showing them the world I’ve made.  I love building mini games and puzzles and sharing my homebrew with others.  Since I can’t do that with my friends, I hope to find some cool people here who want to check out my world. Cheers! If any players enjoy my adventure I'd love to continue playing with them once a month and have fun just diving into my homebrew world.  If there is interest I will create more adventures for future playthroughs. The Plot: "An exclusive auction in the seaside town of Nighthaven has drawn nobles, wanderers, and fortune-seekers from across Edoran. Rumor whispers of miraculous seeds, rare treasures said to cure any illness, mend the gravest wounds, and perhaps even defy time itself. Gold is flowing, tensions are high, and behind every eager smile lurks a hungry ambition. You and your companions have been chosen to protect a wealthy bidder and secure the prize at all costs. But in Nighthaven, fortune favors the bold… and danger is never far behind. Will you outwit rival seekers, survive the high-stakes bidding war, and claim the ultimate reward?" Game System: D&D 5E 2014 or 2024 Tools: Discord and DnDBeyond.com Schedule: Friday February 6th 8:00 PM EST 2 to 5 players ✅ Must-Haves Before the Game: 💬 Discord Account – Required The entire game takes place in Discord voice chat, with visuals streamed directly through the app. Make sure you have a Discord account and can join the server link I’ll send you. 🎧 A Good Mic 🎥 Camera Strongly Encouraged 💻 Use a Desktop or Laptop. Phones are not supported. iPads? Also not ideal. You’ll need to see detailed visuals I’m screen-sharing, like puzzle interfaces, app-style minigames, and cinematic clips. These simply won’t display correctly on a tiny screen. 🧙 Character Level & Stats Starting Level: Level 3 Stat Generation: Any official method is fine, Standard Array, Point Buy, or even rolling. Want to roll 4d6 and drop the lowest? Go for it. Want to use an array to save time? Totally fine. Just don’t completely homebrew the system. 📘 Allowed Materials Use anything from official D&D books (yes, even wild subclasses and expansions from things like Tasha’s, Xanathar’s, or Spelljammer etc...). Safety Tools: I use breaks and open door. The game has fantasy violence and swearing, but the tone is very casual and often silly at times. Hey, I have a video link I made that  talks about the style of game I run.  I thought a video would be a fun way to describe my puzzles and homebrew. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRCoeHd8GJ4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9e_Uw3LZ9E I made this video explaining that sometimes for like "minor skirmishes" I use this mini game for combat to resolve insignificant fights that come up.  It's very strange indeed. There’s also regular combat via DnDBeyond’s Map VTT as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A97rlJ0In4&feature=youtu.be I also made this video explaining what I'm not good at as a DM. lol Well... there's probably lots of things I'm not good at, but I think the video covers the biggest ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNa9x6sphUc&feature=youtu.be I also have this think to my Legend Keeper account where I host some information about my homebrew world.  You can find a world map there as well. https://www.legendkeeper.com/app/clhxgapxr8np70823mvk2ftm5

One-shot(s)s in a new homebrew world!

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hi all! It's nice to meet you. Edit: Feel free to send me a message here!  I'm looking for people interested in some one-shots set in a new high-fantasy, homebrew world I'm building for a future long-term campaign. Day and time will be decided by the group itself, but likely around 7pm EST on either a weekday or a weekend. Some things about the current table: - 30's-40's in age - looking for people 30+ ideally - diverse and queer group, both players and PCs - roughly 60/40, roleplay/combat ratio - romance, flirtation and fade-to-black intimacy is always permitted at my table. Everything else will be table veils and lines. - my tables usually have a species list (humans and variants, all elves, genasi, tieflings, changelings always being standard) - No generative AI whatsoever. - Discord for VC, Foundry VTT Not too much solid info here because things are a bit flexible. Basically, you'd be joining a one-shot server (with my other players) and I would put together a group. This form is to make sure you'd be a fit! https://forms.gle/i969V6oCHy3LnrJKA Thanks!

(Not first come first served, I prefer proper screening before starting) I’m putting together a play-by-post dark fantasy game and looking for a small group of players who enjoy atmosphere, character-driven decisions, and stories. The game opens on a road leading into a backwater town that smells like iron and wet earth. Something important was sealed here a long time ago. Whatever it was, the seal isn’t doing its job anymore. You’re not legendary heroes. You’re just the ones who arrived at the wrong moment. --- The System: VBG (Custom Made) Some things about the system: it's a dice pool resolution-based system. You have a pool of dice from your traits and stats and from the result you have a fixed form of resolution: success or failure. You gain better and more progression from roleplay and engaging more. Abilities determine your playstyle and traits define your character. If you want deeper dive this is the system: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1P6lOnsdsSJypEgreIQj_yi-ecX3CCzeq7mkGFScowRc/edit?usp=drivesdk --- Expectations and Tone This first arc is meant to ease everyone into the system and the tone: Narrative-first: Narrative-first play with mechanics introduced naturally. Immersion: I sometimes use voice text with background music for better immersion. Atmosphere: Grim fantasy vibes without being edgy for the sake of it. Stakes: Investigation, tense social scenes, and dangerous choices. Combat is possible, but never “safe” or routine. Consequences and resolution are core parts of the game. Horror Content: Focus on horror, gore, and monsters of different kinds on both four and two legs. Safety: Low to no sexual content of any kind. --- Game Details Format: Play-by-post Posting Pace: Ideally 1–2 posts a day, but life comes first Themes: Dark fantasy, horror elements, moral gray areas ---- How to Join If you like slow-burn tension, roleplay that actually matters, and stories where you don’t fully understand what’s going on until it’s too late, you’ll probably enjoy this. If you’re interested in either the campaign or the system, shoot me a message with: Your PBP experience The kind of character you like to play Any lines or veils you want respected You won’t be asked to save the world. Just to decide what you do when it starts breaking. Ps: I try not to give stale adventures but I'm not the best writer, so I'll be trying my best. Also I posted a few hours ago but my adhd made me crunch a c ampaign setting and prep so here Is my sleep deprived self writing a post.

I've been getting a small group of players together In order to try a ttrpg system I've been working on, it's completely playable and I have a rules doc if you would like. The game itself will be classic small town horror think carie meets shadow over innsmouth. Players will be traversing between two different words, one a small town by the name of rought where nothing is truly hidden and everything is kept secret.  The other a strange sprawling city drenched in a permanent night and half sunken below the sands. As previous mentioned this is a homebrew system so you don't need to have played a lot of dnd before, but some knowledge of how a typical ttrpg functions would be necessary. Will be almost entirely rp focused as you are playing regular everyday people who have never truly interacted with the supernatural. (That will change very shortly) So if any of this interests you please pm me and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have before welcoming you to the little town of Rought.  (said like rot, as in rotting)
