Hello Dungeon Dwellers of Stamford, Norwalk, Greenwich, Darien, Port Chester, and other key word cities in the Fairfield County area. I'm looking for adventurers for an in person campaign!
DETAILS:
Start Date: Session 0 - March 19th 2026
When: Thursdays in Person 6:30pm - 9ish
Where: I have a few locations in mind in Stamford CT - one of which being Maruichi Select (formerly cask republic) but I haven't finalized a location yet.
STORY:
Across the Trackless Sea lies Anchorome, a distant continent newly opened to trade, settlement, and ambition. Gold has been found in its rivers. Timber and rare metals are being hauled back to the Sword Coast. Merchants call it opportunity. Kings call it destiny.
You are someone who left Faerûn behind. Maybe you are chasing fortune. Maybe you are fleeing a name, a debt, or a failure. Anchorome offers distance and a chance to begin again on the frontier.
But the land is not empty. In mining camps and rough-built ports, something has begun to happen. Prayers are being answered. Power is choosing people back. The familiar gods of the Sword Coast are not the only ones listening.
They are calling this moment "the Great Answering."
This campaign focuses on frontier exploration, settlement politics, moral choices, and the shaping of a new land during a turning point in history. Your characters will not just witness events. They will help decide what Anchorome becomes.
GAME ENGINE:
We will be playing DnD 5e 2024 edition with some homebrew primarily around bonus actions, downtime, and bastions. Expect theater of the mind for the most part with some fun props as time permits. Happy to help new players get into it.
PLAYERS:
I'm looking for 4-6 players with any level of experience that are really committed to attendance and focusing on story telling and roleplay. I'd say 70% Roleplay, 30% combat, no need to min max abilities or anything like that. My only hard and fast rule will be that the characters you make will need to be of good and or neutral alignment - I just don't find a truly evil player character that compelling.
I'll set an arbitrary age limit of 24+
Rating: PG-13 - There will be some action movie level violence and adult themes, but no descriptions of gore and while unplanned any romance it's more fade to black, wink wink sitcom style. Your character can die, but I wouldn't expect them to in the early levels.
There is no cost to this campaign, and you need not bring anything. Hoping to make new friends! I also have a very manly bag that I carry that has notebooks, pens, dice, ect.

Background about the DM:
I really fell head over heels in love with DnD around the launch of Baulders Gate 3 and then began playing with friends. I've been DM'ing a campaign in the upper east side for abit over two years now, and have been writing materials for this second campaign on and off for a year now. I have a whimsical tone to my worlds, where monsters are not necessarily evil, and where choices are plentiful and they always impact the world in ways we may not expect. I do try and do voices and accents, because I just have so much fun with it, DnD to me is playing pretend and making a world with your buddies.
I'm David[He/Him] a 35 year old, married, marketer/writer who doesn't take himself too seriously, and is often described as silly, and good natured. My wife and I just bought a small two bedroom apartment in Stamford and are excited to make new friends in the area.
